Please,I designed a website for a school and I need to print their scratch cards for result checking. I just need a printer that can do it and seal the PIN codes. I don't know if there is a firm that can do it or where I can get a printer for it in Nigeria here. I will also welcome any suggestion on how best to go about this. Please it is urgent. Thanks. |
@OP,I think you also need at least a basic knowledge of either vb.net or c#. |
^^^^Yeah, MVC 3 with Razor is the way to go. Makes things really easy. |
Why not use styles or css. |
Mark Zuckerberg in what seems to be a surprise move on Saturday 19th of May after taking Facebook public, got married to his longtime girlfriend Priscilla Chan. The wedding was reportedly a surprise to most of the 100 guests, who were told they were attending a surprise graduation party for Priscilla; she graduated from medical school at the University of California, San Francisco last week. The couple, who had been dating for nine years, were college sweethearts at Harvard. The celebration was incredibly low key and food was served from their favorite local restaurants. What amazes me however, is the life and personality of Mark. He is the CEO of a social networking site which boasts of over 900 million users, yet he has made tremendous progress in guarding his private life so closely from the ever- prying eye of the media. The last two weeks were quite momentous, yet only the things he wanted to be public knowledge were so. He turned 28 last Monday, the same day his longtime girlfriend, Chan graduated from medical school at the University of California, San Francisco. The rest of the week he was gearing up for one of the most-anticipated IPOs (Initial Public Offer) ever, which on Friday turned Zuckerberg's theoretical Facebook billions into real money — about $19 billion — officially making him one of the world's wealthiest individuals. And somehow, amid all of this activity, he and Chan managed to secretly plan their wedding, so that when 100 or so guests showed up at the couple's Palo Alto residence for Priscilla's supposedly ‘graduation ceremony’ on Saturday, they were treated to surprise nuptials. Ordinarily, one would have expected the young billionaire to throw up an elaborate society wedding with numerous superstars and celebrities in attendance. One would have expected Mark to invite Music superstars such as Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, etc. and Hollywood stars to grace the occasion but none of that happened. The fact he dated a girl for nine years, says so much about the depth and content of his personality. The timing of Zuckerberg’s marriage also raises questions. Consider these; “The timing makes good financial sense: "Congratulations to the happy couple — no doubt they married for love," says Deborah L. Jacobs at Forbes. But let's not be naive: They almost certainly "spent more time with lawyers and financial planners than with a wedding planner." Under California law, if Zuckerberg had married Chan before Friday's IPO, half of his Facebook billions would be hers if they got a divorce; now, it's all his. Meanwhile, they both get the tax benefits of marriage.” They planned this around Chan, not Facebook: The wedding may seem like gilding the lily of an already bountiful week, says Marcus Wohlsen of The Associated Press, but "the seemingly well-coordinated timing was largely a coincidence," according to an unidentified guest "authorized to speak for the couple." Nobody knew when the IPO would happen, so the couple secretly set the date months ago to coincide with Chan's graduation from medical school. What do you think? Is it all a coincidence or a well-crafted plan by Mark to protect his company and his wealth in the event of a divorce? If you are a Nigerian, then your guess is as good as mine. Nice one. Wish all Nlanders will start something and finish it too like this guy did. ![]() |
@Ojay24 C#, VB.net, ASP.net classic and MVC 3 |
If they are hungry,then the citizens should not suffer it. That is not a justification to steal and kill people. |
qualified: Does that State have a Governor?I tire oh. I even heard he is not in town. |
What is really happening in Umuahia, the so called capital of God’s own state, Abia? The level of insecurity is now on the high again. All the Petrol filling stations and supermarkets are the primary targets. Even cars are being snatched at gun point and nothing is being talked or done about it. The police and other security agencies are doing nothing about it. We have now started living in fear again after the horrible era of kidnappers. Just on Friday (5th April), a group of armed robbers robbed 3 fuel stations at a stretch and in one of the stations; they shot and killed the owner of the fuel station. And I ask; how were they moving from one station to the other robbing without a single resistance? What is happening? Have we gone back to the horrible days of fear, when kidnappers took over the state? Is it that the Commissioner for Police in Abia state or even the IG of Police is not aware of these happenings in Umuahia? Or are they waiting for all business operations to come to a halt first? Maybe they are waiting for this to get out of hand before they will act. If you stay in Umuahia or you from Abia, let our voices be heard.What is the situation in your area? This issue of insecurity has been drawing us back as a state. The IGP and Commissioner should start doing their work to stop this nonsense. |
Did someone say subconscious? Na wah o. I just pray you know what you are doing. If you don't believe in God, then everything God should be wiped from your subconscious and let what should remain there be your unbelief. But I want you to stop deceiving yourself and seek the truth about God. You don't believe God but He is still in your subconscious. I no fit shout! ![]() |
@Dual Core, Thanks a lot. |
My first MVC 3 site is now live @ http://www.ictnaija.com Please, if you are good with mvc 3, I will love to learn a lot from you. |
I started learning Asp.net MVC 3 some months ago and has been looking for a way to use what I have learnt. A group that is into ICT enlightment (of which I am a member), decided they need a site and I volunteered to do it. So this is my first asp.net mvc 3 website. I don't really like doing this but I just felt I should do it. Please just let me know what you think,in a brotherly manner. Have it in mind that I did not do the css (a friend of did it for me).I know a lot of work is still needed on the site, so am working towards improving on what I have. If you are also good with MVC 3, I will love to llearn some things from you cus I know that no man is an Island. The link is http://www.ictnaija.com |
Actually, I have started using the version 3 (MVC 3). I think I like the framework. I just finished a website with it and will soon post the link. |
2. shoes in nigeria are terrible. they don.t use good materials yet the price are always awful.most of the shoes u see are wrapt.I don't really know what you are talking about but there are really very good made in Nigeria shoes and cloths. Na wah o. See hatred in action,see triabalism. What is wrong with you guys? The earlier you stop this,the better for you as a country. We have better things that should be talked about,not comparing people who have made their impacts in this country and has joined ther ancestors. And many of you are here insulting the dead? This really shows that many people on NL are not matured. |
Asp.net also supports MYSQL. |
People can be very funny. U come here, insult your President and call him names. But now you are all asking for the head of Korrection because he said his mind about your Soyinka. Na wah ooooooo. This na action film. @Topic: All of you condemning GEJ, tell me what you want him to do to people that have just decided to be lawless. You hate for him wont take us anywhere, and moreover, he is and will be the president till 2015. If he allows business as usual, you will call him names, and now he sends in the military for security reasons, you complain. You people should just find something better to do with your time. |
alj_harem:Hey! Must you call her silly? Must you insult her? Why is it that some people can't just make comments without insulting some one? Now from your statement, who needs to grow up? |
*dhtml:^@*dhtml, infact, I now have respect for you because of the bolded part. Other php users will not say that. I use asp.net (and trying to get used to the razor view engine). I have tried php but have not been able to use it very well. Maybe I will try your class. @topic, I think it is easier to get help on php than asp.net, especially on Nland. I have asked two questions on nairaland that has to do with asp.net and up till now, no answers to it. Just go for the one you have more resources for but both are good. |
plappville:I don't think you read the Romans 14 I wrote in my previous post. I love God/Jesus but will teach biblical things in the right way (in Love). You might have good intentions in what you are doing but in a wrong way. Have you read about the encounter Paul had with the men of Athens when saw the inscriptions on their alters "TO THE UNKNOWN GOD". Read Acts 17:22 down and see how Paul handled that issue and they believed him. Your work is to tell them and keep praying for them and allow the Holy Spirit to do the main work of conviction. Paul said we should do the correction in love. This should also be done with wisdom. trying to force it down their throat will make them not really see reasons with you. |
I was a Catholic and my Dad refused us (my younger ones) infant baptism because he felt we are to decide on our own. It was his shot to call and nothing else and he made that decision, just like every other parent will choose for the child. But why should we be arguing this. Why is this infant Baptism thing a problem now? Instead of us thinking on how to build our Relationship with God, we are arguing. the argument has led us already to sin. I think Paul has said it all in Romans 14: 1 to end. 1. As for the man who is weak in faith, welcome him, but not for disputes over opinions. 2. One believes he may eat anything, while the weak man eats only vegetables. 3. Let not him who eats despise him who abstains, and let not him who abstains pass judgment on him who eats; for God has welcomed him 4. Who are you to pass judgment on the servant of another? It is before his own master that he stands or falls. And he will be upheld, for the Master is able to make him stand. Read to the end. Paul was not talking about foods alone but so many things we call doctrine that has divided the church so much. What is important now is your relationship with God and nothing else. instead we come here trying to tell people how our own denomination is the best while others are sinners. Guard your tongue brethren because we are not God and He only has the right to judge. |
Must we link every thing that happens to GEJ? He was not there at the primaries and his absence has been linked to the court injunction. Most of you here can't even control themselves especially their tongue not to talk of leading a country of over 150 million. You call GEJ all sorts of names? It is not that I support GEJ but honestly, the way some people talk here shows that they too can't rule this country. DDN:Don't mind him. |
Haba, nairalanders. Some one should help me na. Is it that no one here uses asp.net? Please I am working on something and I need the answer to the above question to move forward. |
Please, is there any asp.net expert in the house? I want to know the best way to implement a profile provider with a table based database with sqlce. I tried implementing it on altaris web security but found out that there is no Table Profile Provider. Please I want ideas on how I can do this. I want to make sure there is no way around it before I will have to start coding my own provider from the scratch. Secondly, which windows server webhost do you think is the best and why? Thanks. |
