IPOB are Zionists, do you know God more than them? People who refer themselves as Ụmụ-Chineke?
Majority of IPOB believe they are Jews so they are children of God by faith.

So until they start speaking in tongue before you will recognise them as children of God?
IPOB don't worship idles so you can't say they are into idolatry.
This is warning from God, in a short time the new president will let Nnamdi kanu out from jail.

Did we not give security contracts to those protesting against the Govt? is that not normalizing arms against the government? When you insult people, make sure you have common sense first...why ain't they killing at those with illegal refineries? You think they haven't normalized some of these already...some of them might be part of your tank drivers for crude oil now. Keep living in LA la land up
most of illegal refineries has been closed up and some of them in prison as we speak in Rivers State. Agbero is not a work and can never be justified in a normal society. What law is guiding agbeo? Who enact the law. We basically lives on rule of law, if not you're in a banana republic where everything goes. That what you're insunating.

Do you think God will send angels from heaven to fight for Christians in the zoo? IPOB is made up of different Igbo groups not only Jews or traditionalists

Pentecostal Christians don't fight, they are bund to be conquered people, I'm glad they are minority and not majority in Igbo land.

Black South Africans fought the British for decades,

If you know what's going on in the world, you will know that freedom for Black Africans is fast approaching, the West are losing power at great speed, America will bulshit UK and be forced to allies with Eastern Nigeria, the West don't have future with the Northern Nigeria since the Islamic world are forming alliance with China.

Turkey and Britain own Nigeria for now and America knows it, the Sokoto caliphate was and is still part of the Ottoman empire.
Nigeria's power is centralised and the Fulanis(NW) control it no matter who the president is.

All these will soon be over but our people will go through hell.

America will wake up, for now they are still sleeping and need to be dealt with more.

Africa is the future, if America lost Africa then the West are finished. For now China is dominating the US in Africa but the US can still turn things around by bringing justice to Nigeria.
if ipob can seek the face of God and leave idolatry God will sure them mercy and grant them Victory. you can't go to strong man house without face binding him with chains before taking what belongs to you. you have to be strong to defeat Nigeria forces.

But we are under democracy.

We use the word democracy to deceive ourselves when we never had any real experience of democracy.

Army killing civilians during peaceful protest.

A job for police to handle army will jump out from barracks to engage.

How many countries can you even see their army on the street or road collecting money?

Only in Nigeria.

Some are supporting this barbaric act but refused military taking over the country.

Rip to the dead.
which democracy, Nigeria is not under any democracy. we're in authoritarian regime. In a democratic society, free and fair election is guaranteed, freedom of expression and speech. what we are witnessing today is still far from democracy. but ipob keep making same mistake.

Look, the truth is, you can't just disband and re-integrate these people into the society. That would be escalating social vices and knowing how stretched our security apparatus are in the country, we can ill-afford that now.

The government needs to take over the system; it shouldn't be only during outwitting political contemporaries that they turn up the heat. They know which table leg to pool and which to adjust to take over the system; then use the same legs to sanitize the system. With more pullings, adjusting and relocating where necessary, they'd be in control and ensure the taxation becomes official government business.

It can then be easy to manipulate from here on.
crime is crime, there are numerous legal ways of making without inflicting people. these agbero even makes more money than nigeria professors. shame that an educated people like you is advocating for agbero society. if agbero is good then armed robbers, kidnappers , Yahoo should also be given free hand to operate after all they making money and therefore should be remitting taxes to the govt. anyways, the govt are govt of louts like citizens

MasterTeeUSA:
I was speaking to someone about this issue of Agberos, and I told the person...Governance is like whac-a-mole. If you solve one problem, another rises. That is why I was praying GRV does not win because he would have turned Lagos into chaos...even those in Lekki would not be able to stay clear of major issues.

If you eliminate Agberos, what will you do with thousands of guys? Retrain then...some of them are drug addicts and drunkards...there is a reason they are doing agberos and I doubt they can do any formal education. What about artisan work? Have you seen some of these guys..you think they will learn plumbing or agriculture and wait for harvest and yields or for someone to call them for work before they can eat?

Lock them up in Jail...how many prisons will you build, how many staff, cost of feeding them and getting all of them through the court systems would be a major disaster.

So should we just accept this norm...NO

1. You normalize them like Lagos agreed to do...Lagos should print the tickets

2. Allow these guys to sell them - maybe 500 tickets @ N1000 = N50,000; Private vehicles can pay N100 per day...that is N2k - N3k per month and it will be used to pay for people to maintain roads, clean gutters, and so on.

3. Pay them daily - like N5000 (N100,000 weekdays) which is 10% of the total take in and their Ogas will take N2500 (5%) per person

4. Create a hierarchy of leadership - One oga will have like 10 guys under in covering major areas...so Oga will cash in N500,000 monthly

5. This process for this Team will generate N42,500 per person (85%) which is N8.5million monthly (Salary N1.5m from Revenue intake of N10m monthly) for one area...Lagos can easily have 500 of these areas raking in N5billion and N60 billion annually. Anambra, Onitsha can do the same and the money will be channels to fix roads, drainages and revamp the markets.

6. Give or take the Govt can play with the figures and bring in 70-75% and increase the payment for Oga or boys or Ticket sale

7. You can also sell Morning, Afternoon, and Evening and use different sets of boys so you generate 3 times the revenue, multiply the employment by 3 and use 2 sets of Ogas or Same...

8. They will have distinct wears that they pick up at the Oga in the morning, afternoon or evening and they can switch them so it will be difficult for copycats to make them or have companies that will supply them these wears with random colors weekly.

9. These will eliminate the fake agberos and also provide employment chain for the uniform or vest suppliers...they will also take care of the dry cleaning needs.

10. Youths need employment..money must flow...you need to cater to different types of people. Eliminating them is not the answer.
Sense is still far from you , is like saying Government should legalize illegal refinery because louts are making a living from there. We shouldn't condone illegality and unprofessionalism. If agbero turn to revenue collector they have to abide by the rules of engagement. People are often says if you close agbero work what will they be doing.like seriously, so all the Carpenters, bricklayers, plumbers, drivers etc. Are all dead. Very soon you people will have excuses for Yahoo, armed robbers and other sinister crimes.

Cantonese:
Government can ensure an end to it.

Politicians make this country worse everyday. Touts are kept in place for elections, making it difficult for government to take them off the streets. With agberos, we will never have the right leaders in this country. Unfortunately too we have youth who claim to be educated, but are agbero in disguise. If your father is an agbero, bringing humongous sums home everyday, will you not support the system? The system that paid your school fees and gave you a good house and other properties? That’s what we face with educated children of agberos. I believe that there are too many of such youths here on Nairaland.

Buba Marwa showed the example when he was the governor of Lagos state, in 1996. Agberos had completely overrun Lagos state and citizens seemed completely helpless. Mile 2 was a war zone. One would pass that area with complete fear. Buba Marwa introduced “operation sweep” to the roads. What they simply did, even though it seemed high handed, was very effective in tackling the menace. They either shot them at sight or arrested them and disposed of them permanently. In a matter of days, agberos disappeared from the streets of Lagos completely until Tinubu arrived in 1999, as the state governor.

Anambra state, just like other states of the federation, faces the same problem. When governors say they will tackle agberos, it is simply on the face value. They never do it, even though they know that the simple language agberos understand is violence.

Our country has been ruined by corruption. It will only take a strong willed leader and the grace of God to save this country. When committees are set up to look into those matters, members of the committees receive bribes and the system continues. The humongous, non taxable amounts that get into the hands of security agents and government officials will always make them look the other way.

It is in the power of the people to resist such oppressively illegal groups. These non state actors can be easily addressed, if only the people take their destinies in their hands. Agberos are not faceless people. Attacking them in return will cause anarchy, but realistically what can the citizens do, when such criminal elements have gone haywire.

Should governments resettle them? Or should government send them to vocational centers? Remember that they say “crayfish wey don dey can never bend”. They will never change their ways. Earning money in that cheap way make them simply not interested in other forms of occupation.

The way forward is simply to return the military to the streets, simply for the purpose of tackling agberos. Also we must hope that such military personnel do not take bribes and look the other way.
well spoken

PETER MBAH ACCEPTANCE SPEECH

1. Ndi Enugu

2. This is your Peter Ndubuisi Mbah. As you all know, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced my election as your governor-elect

3. I accept this announcement with a glad, solemn and grateful heart and with only one obligation: to devote every tissue of my flesh, the totality of my mind and spirit to the task of the greatness of Enugu State.

4. This victory could not have been won except for God, with the active support of you, the people of Enugu State. While extending my gratitude to you, permit me to appreciate the current governor of our state and members of his cabinet; statesmen; our party leaders; security operatives; religious leaders; civil society groups, the media, and everyone who made this a reality.

5. Like every electoral process, the journey of the last few months was intense. The one of the last three days was even fiercer. Enugu was literally at a standstill, waiting, with baited breath, for justice to take its course. There was restiveness in our youths and apprehension in the minds of the entire NdiEnugu. The fear was that there could be miscarriage of justice. On the streets of Enugu, you could feel the palpable air of an overheated polity brought by the prolonged, tortuous road to justice of the last 72 hours.

6. Let me salute the dogged resolve of the people of Enugu State. I must particularly single out the patriotic men and women who, inside rain and skin-pelting sunshine, chose to occupy the INEC office in the last 72 hours. Their resolute resolve pointed at one single cause: That they are in a hurry for Enugu to connect with all the lofty goals that our administration is bringing to bear in our dear state.

7. Let me restate that ours will not be a government of any section of Enugu State. It is your government, Ndi Enugu. Under our administration, there can never be division between Nsukka and Nkanu or any other section of the state. We are all brothers and sisters. Those who attempted to create a wedge between us failed woefully. We were massively voted by every section of the state. Those who wanted to smack our heads together had an ulterior motive and it was to create perpetual fussing and fighting between us. We resisted their machination and today, we are coming together stronger. Our resolve thereafter is to pursue the spirit of divisiveness from our state.

8. Since the electioneering process began, though the road was rough, it was obvious that we were not alone on the rough road. At every intersection of the rough road, Ndi Enugu were with us. Collectively, we trudged along with bravery and strength of character. Your presence shielded us from rough tackles that were aimed at our spine.

9. It is why you, Ndi Enugu, are the hero of this victory. You sowed your sweats and prolonged discomfort that earned us this victory. In the hot and torrid sun, you were with us; when the rain – literally and metaphorically – drenched us, you stood by us, offering your clothes to damp our wet apparels. And when it was time to stand and be counted with your votes, Ndi Enugu, you did not let us down.

10. The choice you made is clear. You did not go through all those grueling moments for the sake of the fleeting berries of today. You made a huge investment for your tomorrow, for the tomorrow of your children and children’s children. You chose to deprive yourselves of the perishable and glittering rewards of now so that a greater tomorrow can come.

11. In choosing us, you did not allow mundane reasons to stop you. You abandoned political party divides, religious denomination cleavages, clan and tribe. All you demanded was the candidate who would guarantee a tomorrow for you and generations of Enugu to come.

12. Now, Ndi Enugu, that tomorrow is here. Let me pledge to you, once again, that I will serve you and dedicate every of the 1,460 days that make up this initial tenure of office to serving you. I will remember the coarse road you travailed to get us here. In reply, we will speak resoundingly with policies of government that will give you comfort and rest of mind.

13. As I told you during the campaign, the administration we will run will bring joy to your hearts. We will make you remember March 18, 2023 with a toothy smile. In infrastructure, health, tourism, education and development of our state in general, we will run a government that you can be proud of. We are in a hurry to dualize the Abakpa, Ugwuogo Nike-Nsukka road, build a monorail from Enugu to Nsukka, Udi, Awgu and construct a ring road to connect all the 17 local government areas of Enugu State.

14. We are in a hurry to build a world class Theme Park in Enugu. We are in a hurry to establish Special Economic Zones (SEZs) in all the local government areas, as well as Agro-Allied Processing Zones and Industrial Parks in all our senatorial zones.

15. We are in a hurry to unleash the tech talents in our young people, and grow and nurture their interest in business and vocations skills. We shall build a School of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), an Innovation Incubation Centre, as well as a Skill Enhancement Centre in each of the three senatorial zones.

16. Ours shall not be an administration by a section of the state. We shall run an all-inclusive government designed to provide an inclusive economic development for our dear state.

17. As we bring water to all homes in Enugu metropolis in 180 days of our being sworn in, we shall bring water, in the shortest possible time, to Nsukka, Oji River, Udi, Awgu and others too. We shall frontally confront the infrastructural deficits in all parts of the state and no one will be left behind.

18. Let me, at this juncture, call on everyone to join me in this task of chiseling a great tomorrow from the rock of a despondent today. In the elections that we ran, we are all winners. No one is a victor, nor is anyone vanquished. The task at hand transcends emotions, politics and other mundane divides.

19. It is why I extend my hands of fellowship to all my colleagues with whom I ran the gubernatorial election. Our dear Enugu State is greater than all of us. Let us come together and give our people a tomorrow that befits their hard-work, industry and ancestry of greatness.

20. Once again, Ndi Enugu, I thank you for reposing your trust in us. Together, our tomorrow is here.
Enugu state should brace up for another merry- go - round governance of PDP. you talked about water in 180 days. when most pipes are rotten, no new piping in the last 8yrs. and other heavy bottlenecks.
you talked about about industrial parks , processing machine without building of power stations.
and another useless elephant project ," monorail". although I'm is a mere political talk.
