The Central Bank of Nigeria on Tuesday launched an empowerment scheme aimed at creating a new set of entrepreneurs among members of the National Youth Service Corps and fresh graduates.

The CBN Governor, Mr. Godwin Emefiele, who launched the Youth Initiative Entrepreneurship Development Programme for corps members, said the scheme would be implemented by the central bank and Heritage Bank.

He said the initiative would enable serving corps members as well as fresh graduates with good business ideas to assess N3m to start up their business.

The governor stated that while the loan would be given to corps members at single digit interest rate, they would be required to deposit their NYSC discharge certificates as collateral for the credit facility.

According to him, the bank is targeting 10,000 youth corps members in the pilot phase of the scheme, adding that this would help to create about one million direct jobs in the next four years.

Am not supporting Buhari neither Jonathan: People should always consider issue before commenting. If your father or relation is Buhari and somebody wish him dead, will you write the same comment you are posting now. let us be objective with our thinking.

This is certainly not news to some of us. It's almost like standard procedure in Nigeria when a military head of state is ousted in a coup. Even the biography we read here on Nairaland mentioned that his personal property was looted. Buhari just doesn't want to talk about it, understandably. People forget IBB was his close friend and chief of army staff.

Plus there's no contradiction here. There are supposed to be copies of Buhari's credentials with the military (unless of course what happened to the originals happened to the copies too). And I wouldn't be surprised if they're the only copies because this is a full-blood military man who has not had to submit his credentials to any organization outside of the military during his career up to the coup.
