Andro Blaze: Fair do. I just wish the people who started this could have first congratulated her as a Nigerian before bringing out the Tribal card. On all the fillipino links I saw, she never seemed to ba ashamed of identifying herself as a Nigerian/African, not some local Yoruba/Igbo/Urohobo girl.
Well the truth is that in Nigeria especially these days, it is clear that everyone should answer his/her fathers name first before considering the entity nigeria and anyone that thinks it's a lie is on a self destructing deceit. So me these days I am Igbo first of all before Nigeria and that is the way I will like to keep it.

Ok I couldn't really bother going through all that however I based my judgement on her looks and her names Emily Victoria seeing that the Igbo's have been always accused in this forum of giving their kids english names..lil did I know that the fingers pointing at someone else has 3 more pointing at him.. cheesy Ok kudos to her and my initial statements on my Igbo sisters still remain. wink

tpia@:
Her dad is yoruba (olufunso oke). Olufunso is a yoruba name.

The mixed look is typically identified with igbos, yet you folks keep insisting you're not mixed.

Usually, i've noticed igbos dont really like to acknowledge foreign input when it comes to appearance, meaning someone who has mixed heritage ( and looks it), will most likely simply have to be identified as igbo only as per facie.

It might be a general thing in nigeria, i guess.
Not to disput your claim but a link with that would have been more concrete.! don't you think huh As for Igbo looking mixed, I will like to tell you that in Igbo land we have so many skin tones that are equally as beautiful therefore we are not mixed but just plain Black and beautiful/handsome for the guys.. smiley.
With regards to your gibberish of who pays the piper.....what nonsense? So the Igbo's pay more money now abi..? even with Otedola and Dangote who are not Igbo... huh Mehn stop this comedy and accept the truth that the Igbo's are just beautiful and classy and win these accolades on merit and nothing else.
Have a look at this video too..https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xp5bloqJURo&NR=1&feature=endscreen

I haven't seen any evidence to say she is of Yoruba decent and I will like someone including the person claiming facebook to provide one. However I guess Oke is a universal name and so could easily be claimed by any tribe and also as already said here she looks Igbo, lil wonder I thought she was. cheesy In anycase my Igbo sisters are known all around as beauty peagant winners and should keep repping.! One Igbo son is definitely very proud of you lot. wink If she turns out to be from somewhere else then Kudos to her.. smiley

Nairaland GeneralRe: Video: Real Story Of Nigeria by OkparaIgbo: 5:58pm On Jan 29, 2013
publisher: @OP, I dont know the essence of this video. Nigeria is still a country in transition and hopefully our final destination will be a good one. Most of our leaders that have 'messed' up Nigeria are products of british colonial education. Perhaps the 'Naija' generation of young people that have revolutionized our music and movie industries will one day spread their tentacles into other areas of our great country.

This video is a waste of time and an opportunity for unnecessary pity partying over Nigeria's present challenging situations.
You call yourself publisher and yet you hate to educate your mind and learn from history.. huh angry All Nigerians or at least a lot must admit the fact that they have erred and move past the stage of shying away from taking responsibility and begin to take responsibility and apologies to the offended party/parties without which till tomorrow peace would not reignand where there is no peace there will not be development QED.! undecided
RomanceRe: Sexless Marriage: Man Wins Refund Of Dowry by OkparaIgbo:
Seriously I ask myself at times how do certain people reason.. huh huh angry A 35 year old man marrying a 14 year old.?? WTH is this for crying out loud and why do the Hausa's engage in this. lipsrsealed Mehn at 35 years old you should be correcting the child/teen and not finding her intimately attractive.! GUSH I puke for some people oo undecided
Car TalkRe: Man Builds Light Aircraft In Bayelsa by OkparaIgbo: 10:03am On Jan 28, 2013
This is wonderful to see. Congratulations to whomever built the craft as this was my dream project when I was a lot younger but lack of enough support, much technical know how and destructive comments like the many ones above meant that I left the project. But I'm glad a young brain has achieved this and for those asking stupid questions, get it into your head that he has scaled most of the issue in craft design by putting in all the ailerons and movable surfaces on the wing for banking. I'm sure with a good engine and propeller fans in the right direction, that plane will fly and with a lil more innovation it will land too. Kudos bro
Technology MarketRe: Man Builds Light Plane In Bayelsa - Pictures by OkparaIgbo: 11:15pm On Jan 27, 2013
lovely.! When I was much younger, I attempted building a plane too but lack of support, fear and not much technical experience et.all meant that I had to give that up. I'm happy to see someone young fulfill that dream. Kudos
PoliticsRe: What Is Imo State Best Known For? by OkparaIgbo:
Umunne I am ashamed.. undecided See the stupidity you lot have displayed in the presence of the whole Nigeria and World at large.! Seriously so many Igbo people need to be flogged and sense restored to their brains. angry I am still proud of being Nwa afor Igbo irrespective of state and when we get Biafra, I advocate the TOTAL REMOVAL of state of origin.

PoliticsRe: Why Would A UNIBEN Professor Lie? by OkparaIgbo: 5:45pm On Jan 11, 2013
Most people here have said what I intended saying. "There is more to this than meets the eye". Personally I believe the Prof found the cure and was aware of all the protocols involved in announcing the product but obviously to avoid his cure being taken over by someone else, he announced it to the public but had to retract his statement because he wasn't aware of the amount of life erasing threats he would receive from the big cooperations angry. For those scorning the Prof and making all manner of degrading statements, BE WISE and just don't take every life situation as "black and white" look for and investigate the grey area. undecided I concur with the statement that " The world is now run like a business and only the big guns benefit totally" lipsrsealed cry
PoliticsRe: Biafra Group Sues FG Over Abandoned Property And Others by OkparaIgbo: 8:01pm On Jan 10, 2013
I can only think of this as a step in the right direction. Nigeria must come out of its current state of side lining everything and start taking responsibility for its action. I'm loving this new anamnesis of the Biafra journey...those Innocent Men, Women and Children killed because some region didn't understand the terms Equity and Justice are still crying out for the same Justice in 2013.
PoliticsRe: Igbo President Will Refine And Rebrand Nigeria by OkparaIgbo: 7:28pm On Jan 05, 2013
I wouldn't waste my time one bit on you again after this seeing that you are too dumb, idiotic and foolish to understand plain simple english and all you seem to do is realise you have lost a war, then jump to start a fight.. cheesy. So it doesn't come down to running a state anymore huh classic example of one of the Reetarded Ignoramus I was referring to grin lipsrsealed
PoliticsRe: Igbo President Will Refine And Rebrand Nigeria by OkparaIgbo: 7:07pm On Jan 05, 2013
J12: Those people you listed are dummies. They've got nothing on Chukwuma.
I don't think so at all judging from the great transformation a person like Suliivan Chime has done in Enugu state. Don't get me wrong here, Chukwuma is great but not the only Igboman that can handle the position of President of Nigeria excellently
PoliticsRe: Igbo President Will Refine And Rebrand Nigeria by OkparaIgbo: 6:53pm On Jan 05, 2013
vanstanzy: Did the article which was clearly not written by me but reported by me say that Only An Igbo President Will Refine and Rebrand Nigeria? U people only see what they want to see, but not the bigger picture. Try reasoning outside the box.
Bros don't mind the foolish goons that refused to learn comprehension in school and have ended up becoming fools and idiiots to the comic relieve of many. They even failed to comprehend factual examples I gave of people who have achieved great enviable feats in their areas of calling and have decided to only resort to quoting the true saying "That we are blessed and favoured by God"
PoliticsRe: Igbo President Will Refine And Rebrand Nigeria by OkparaIgbo: 6:48pm On Jan 05, 2013
vanstanzy: Why do u really bother debating with these people? Our name is CHIMEREMEZE, meaning GOD HAS MADE ME KING. Like Nas sang; "Niggaz fear what they don't understand, hate what they can't conquer". That's exactly whats going on here in Nigeria. People just don't understand the Igboman, that's the reason for the fear.
Nwanne I wasn't in any debate with them oo. Just had to put some fools in their place with facts before they start to feel wise.. cheesy wink

Aigbofa: Here comes the type of monkeys I like to engage on Nairaland. No amount of tantrum will extricate you from the vacuous assumptions you are trying to make in support of your ibo president. Your blustering means nothing to me, it only reveals how stupid you really are. What does your candidates have that separates them from those before them? That is the question. It is not enough to tell us they will make good presidents because they are ibo. It is patently dumb, and it appears you are even dumbe.r.

So, other people don't have excellence, bravery, humility, self assurance, motivation and favour? All these are exclusive preserve of ibos? What a dum.b ars.e monkey.

J12: The only Igbo man capable of rebranding Nigeria is C.C Soludo. Others are full of shìt.
No offense.
I don't believe that. There are so many more Igbo men who are more than capable of rebranding and reforming Nigeria some of which include Sullivan Chime, Rochas Okorocha etc.
PoliticsRe: Igbo President Will Refine And Rebrand Nigeria by OkparaIgbo: 6:28pm On Jan 05, 2013
Onlytruth: The most compelling reason to narrow the search to Igboland is because Nigeria needs to heal and move on, and the idea even becomes most desirable because the region being considered produces some of the finest Nigerian professionals. It is not as if they are asking us to choose from areas with least qualification.
So, it is in Nigeria's interest to choose from Igbo the next Nigerian president. Of course Nigeria can also choose otherwise and hope for the best, but let no one become surprised if 50 years from now we are still where we are today.
On paper Nigeria's economy has been growing, but I'm not sure it has impacted majority of the citizens. Someone with the TRAINED skills should step in to make that happen.
With Nigerian president of Igbo extraction Nigerian kills two birds with one stone. This truth is as solid as titanium. cool
This I have tried to pass across in plain simple english but it seems some peeps have grown up foools and one's without a sense of reason whatsoever. angry
PoliticsRe: Igbo President Will Refine And Rebrand Nigeria by OkparaIgbo: 6:23pm On Jan 05, 2013
Onlytruth: You seen to be narrowing the search to a governor (maybe Fashola), typical. cheesy cheesy
You do not need to be a former Nigerian state governor to perform superbly as president. All you need is a good head on your shoulder and a certain level of patriotism (which brings along honesty, commitment, etc).

I believe that one man stands out heads and shoulders above the rest ----> his name is Charles Chukwuma Soludo (ie per the ability to "Refine and Rebrand" Nigeria).
Nigeria under a Soludo presidency can leapfrog most nations within 8 years. We can actually have not less than 2 Trillion Dollar economy under Soludo in 8 years.
Quote me on that.
redsun: Nigerian society is not mentally matured enough to welcome sane leadership. It is very tribal and a tribal society is a primitive one, devoid of sound reasoning, sound judgement and cooperation.

When the people grows mentally, sane and responsible leadership will come natural.
Thank you brothers for coming onboard on this. I had to take on some reetarded Ignoramuses on this thread.
PoliticsRe: Igbo President Will Refine And Rebrand Nigeria by OkparaIgbo: 6:20pm On Jan 05, 2013
Aigbofa: Let me remind you that none of the people you mentioned ever ran a state before. I therefore I don't understand where you got the idea that any of them would make a great president.
Can you please enlighten us more about the spirit that propelled these to the top of their professions that are not present in other professionals from other tribes in Nigeria?
And what makes your liittle brain think that anyone needs to run a state to have required Leadership qualities.. huh Dude I find it more difficult to relate to you and your IQ which to be fair seems to be below two digit figures.. angry Colins, Chuka, John; are a few Nigerians of Igbo extraction that run affairs of states in other countries. The spirit is one given by God himself some of which are Hardwork, Excellence, Bravery, Humility, Self Assurance, Motivational, Favour etc. Yes they may or may not be present in other people which may explain the hatred and jealousy like in the case of Joseph in the bible
