Yes, those on dependent/study visa are not allowed to work in some sectors, sports inclusive; you can't take a job as professional sports person on that type of visa. Also you are not to access public fund; loan or grant.

The visa validity date should be a mistake and can be corrected. Do contact the UKVI.

Hello guys, thanks to everyone that helped out. Visa was successful!! Glory to God!! However, dependent's visa does not seem alright.
Here is what looks like the issue:
The dependant's visa states:
"Valid from 01/06/2023
"Valid until 01/06/2023
"Restricted work, no sportperson, no public funds" (does this mean that dependant cannot work).
I want to believe that the dates might be an error, but what about the restricted work part? Is this also an error and how do i go about getting it rectified. Thank you

Your cgpa is good.. But for your GRE, it's on average side.


Follow this steps.

1. Go to WES website and use the free calculator to convert your grades to 4.0


2. Hit Google and search for masters in business analytics in US and browse through the list of schools. (most schools offer this under MBA though)


3. Go through the requirements of the school and see if your cgpa and GRE score matches (I'm sure your cgpa does).


4. Check through the scholarship opportunities of the schools to see if your profile fit in.

5. Weigh the best options at hand and you may need USnews to compare the ranking.

6. Send in your applications and get ADMITTED

Please house I want to enquire if wes normally leaves out failed/carry over courses in the cgpa calculation?

I used their free tool and did not include failed courses.. my cgpa was good in the 4.0 scale system as a result.

Need to confirm urgently before my transcript is sent to them officially.

Hello Nairalanders! I submitted documents for legalization/DoV last year, though my visa application was not successful surprisingly, now am thinking of reapplying this year and I will probably need my DoV.

Wondering if I should write the consulate requesting for it as I only want to bother about pre enrollment this year if I secure admission and not legalization.

In a nutshell, can I get my DoV of last year from the consulate now?

House, was refused student visa at the Consulate for a bizarre reason: I have not paid for the course I want to study.

The Consulate gave me the option of appealing the refusal in Rome through an Italian lawyer. Wondering anyone here know how it works; the cost and the chance of overturning it?

I will really appreciate timely contributions on this, though I have a little less than 60 days to file the appeal, my course enrolment ends in November.

I tried talk to others but it was same story. But is yours still up to 18 months validity period? Cos they said that's the least they can accept for long stay visa.

Surprisingly I have written thrice without response to the consulate on this.

Trying to get a new one already but the problem apart from the exuberant amount is that the new passport's number will be different from the old one which I have used to fill all my forms during admission, pre-enrolment & legalisation. Also the old passport number is also on the yellow card I sweated to get just last week.

Add to that, they said I will need about three weeks to get the new one.

Real headache!

Although mine expires early 2020 but I insisted I was of course going to renew it when I get to Italy when it’s close to the date of expiry and it was the end of the talk regards that. I think it’s lame they say that knowing fully well you can’t renew unless it’s 6months to the end. Perhaps you want to insist on talking to a director there or something

Surprised my application was turned down at the VFS due to my passport validity; one year (Expires on 3rd August 2019)

They said I need at least 18 months validity period on the passport to be eligible for the the 2 years study visa.

And you don't get passport renewed legally until about six month to the date it expires.

Frustrating and tiring.

Any idea on what to do will be appreciated.. Time running out!
