CodeTemplar:Anyone with the qualities you described will not become president because such a person will be a talkative. Clever and wise politicians don't talk anyhow about sensitive issues because their words would be used against them at some point for political reasons. Tinubu is a student of history. Awolowo for all his good qualities failed to become president because he was too idealistic. He wasn't pragmatic enough to reach out to those that would have enabled him realize his goal of becoming president. Alas, yoruba votes weren't enough to get him elected. Anyone that wants to rule Nigeria as presently constituted must be seen to be a bridge-builder and circumspect about his utterances. Tinubu is smart enough to know that. |
Psalmy2cute:The problem with igbos is they are too tribalistic. Their electible leaders are hated by them. When I mean electible I am talking about the bridge builders that can actually win votes from other regions. E.g Rochas Okorocha and to an extent OUK. They will vote an hausa PDP candidate over those two if APC fields them, that I can guarantee you. Any igbo person that tries to be a bridge builder is called names like 'Okoawusa' or 'efulefu', yet they want to force clannish ones like Peter Obi down our throats. As for Tinubu, he is s qualified as any other Nigerian, and is not afraid to compete. Let igbos come out and compete for the ticket and see how it goes. |
RuudVanNisteroy:Even with all that you listed you will still not support him because your hatred for him is irrational so quit the pretence. But he doesn't need your likes to succeed politically. He came this far without your likes so you can keep hating. |
Psalmy2cute:Tinubu has across the board appeal. I can count enough igbos, Hausas, and other ethnicities he has helped along the way, not to mention Yorubas. Even igbos in Lagos are already rooting for him. That is what makes him not only qualified but also electible. Electibility is about how acceptable a person is to not just the masses but the political Elite. Peter Obi cannot even get PDP ticket to run for presidency because he lacks the general acceptability and electibility. Plus he is tribalistic and clannish. |
TheGladiator:Stop including Peter Obi the bigot and tribalist. How many non-igbos has he helped in his political career? Even Obiano had to disown him. Stop mentioning him amongst national leaders.
|
Peter Obi will win in Biafra while Tinubu win in Nigeria. That should settle it.
|
Why should he? Is he d 1 contesting for office? |
Ok. Looks like a sweatshop. ![]() |
Jagaban Tinubu. The name that strikes fear and terror in the hearts and minds of igbos. ![]() |
'Tinubu must be the cause' , according to useless ipob miscreants. Igbo parents tell their children every morning from an early age that Tinubu is the cause of every igbo man's problems in life, so they neglect everything else.
|
Op RuudVanNisteroy, as an igboman when will you beam your search lights on Abia state in your region? Just like Nnamdi Kanu that keeps talking crap about others while his state is in a deep mess, your likes keep obsessing over Yoruba people while neglecting the speck and logs in your eyes. Your leaders are using your collective destinies to fly kite but it is Tinubu issue you obsess over on this site 24/7. Odiegwu o.
|
Frankdoz9:The real question Nnmadi Kanu and his jobless online trolls like the Op should be asking (instead of shouting 'yeroba muslim' all over cyberspace) is when will Nnamdi Kanu comment on what is happening in his state of Abia. Abia is a disgrace to humanity, yet Nnamdi Kanu refuses to speak about that cesspit/pigsty of a state. Below is a recent picture of Abia state. Imagine human beings trading comfortably in such an environment.

Smh. Americans don buy market. Trump is so mentally unfit to occupy that seat. |
Damn! That's bad. Really bad. |
post=92270273:Smh. So what's that picture supposed to prove? That Peter Obi is better qualified than Adesina because of his photo Op at an American political rally? Nna eh, when you go upgrade this your low I.Q? |
post=92269987:Another Peter Obi fanboy. Una sabi hype sha. If your principal has the guts and what it takes, ask him to boldly throw his hat in the ring and run for the highest office, instead of waiting and hoping to play running mate again. If e sure for all of una. |
mrvitalis:Oga rest. This isn't about hatred. The Op is the one that put forward Peter Obi and I appraised his qualities for the job compared to Adesina's. Perhaps I would have given a more favourable appraisal were the person a different personality, say Moghalu for instance. Besides, we all know the combo can never fly since they are both from the south. But don't get it twisted, this thread has little to do with electability because that is a whole different ball game. You need more than eloquence and charm to be electable in the Nigeria political space. Buhari was voted in due to some peculiar circumstances that worked in his favour at the time of his election into office, not necessarily because he was the best that Nigeria had to offer. Just because you or myself like or prefer Peter Obi doesn't mean he is electable in the Nigerian context. To be electable you need solid political currency, machinery, and across the board acceptability. Such are the variables that determine electability in Nigeria, not necessarily who or what some online fanboys think deserves the seat. |
Smithkafors:I understand how you feel but the truth hurts. Ideally, Nigeria needs someone with some polish to represent her on the world stage for a change, not one you will have to strain your ears to understand his speeches and commentary. Na una dey make fun of Buhari's unpalatably heavy accent when conversing or giving speeches in English, yet y'all take offence when Peter Obi's glaringly igbotic accent is pointed out. That is the height of hypocrisy. |
Akinwunmi is the more presidential out of the two. He's more cerebral and articulate with international exposure. Peter Obi on the other hand lacks charisma, sounds igbotic with a feminine voice, lacks international exposure, and not that articulate. ![]() |
Lol. Ode George must always use Tinubu name to shine and stay relevant. ![]() |
