The Eko op no wan make you see
Eko akete of today.
Lagos of today is more developed with a far better skyline. Only bad belle people would deny that.
Hellraiser77:Guy, I obviously can't help you. Your fascination with Agberos suggest you may actually fancy becoming one yourself. Goodluck. |
spy24:Allow the Op to chestbeat in peace na. After that yesterday's report about low FDI in the SE, a lot of egos were bruised so please allow them to feel good about themselves for a change.
Hellraiser77:I thought I already answered that. Agberos in Yorubaland land exist for the exact same reason they exist in igboland. It's that simple. But if that answer doesn't satisfy you, go and ask the ones at Onitsha and Aba why they chose to be touts instead of gainful employment as you put it. Whatever answer they give you will certainly apply to the Yoruba ones you are obviously fascinated with. ![]()
Hellraiser77:I am happy I was able to convince you to openly acknowledge your Igbo ethnicity afteall . See, it's really not a big deal because even if you lie about it, your true nature and character will always expose you. And yeah, you just exhibited another igbo trademark - - an acute obsession with Lagos. But really I understand you guys love Lagos so much that's why you express your insecurity by calling her a 'nomansland', and because you are afraid we Yorubas might send y'all back home one day, 'GhanamustGo' style. But seriously you have nothing to worry about, as long as you are of best behaviour (though if you are like your brothers that recently travelled all the way from Onitsha to Ogun to steal Okada, we will not hesitate to deport your black a$$!) Yorubas won't send good and law-abiding igbos back to igboland (yeah, I know you lots dread that region like it's hell fire or something lol). If we can welcome other ethnicities and even non-Nigerians, how much more igbos? So relax and don't commit any crimes and you will be fine. That I can promise you. |
Hellraiser77:Only igbos poke their noses into the affairs of other regions. They are the only ones obsessed with what goes on in Yorubaland. And they are also the only ones that make excuses for their crimes and criminals ( especially those committed outside igboland) by deflecting from the real issue. No other ethnic group does that in Nigeria. Btw, why are you igbos always denying your tribe after you have been exposed and found out? I will not beat you if you admit that you are igbo. I know it suckks being one and all but you don't have a choice than to be igbo. Be a man and be proud of your tribe. |
Hellraiser77:Why are igbo touts extorting and scamming igbo traders and their customers in igboland with impunity, why? Maybe they are yet to get their own Okada. Hopefully they won't have to come to yorubaland to steal motorbikes.
Hellraiser77:Oloripelebe, comot eye for Yoruba touts and go and go and face your touts at Onitsha wey dey disturb traders.
Hellraiser77:Oga face your erosion ravaged region. Go and reform all the touts at Upper Iweka Onitsha and Aba that are harassing traders and and their customers before worrying about Yoruba touts. Oloshi morafocka. That is typical igboman for you. He is justifying and making excuses for igbo armed robbery in non-igbos states. Igbos and Fulanis are the only two tribes in Nigeria that go to other regions to commit crimes and still have the nerve to justify. Una two fit each other. Devil will punish una. |
Hellraiser77:Stfu and mind your region where your brothers are now invading Yorubaland to be stealing motorbikes to go and sell for Okada business in Anambra. Awon Olofo. https://dailypost.ng/2020/08/12/we-came-from-anambra-to-steal-okada-in-ogun-suspects-tell-police/
dignity33:Guy, see your life? Your brothers are already journeying all the way from Anambra to Ogun state to steal motorbikes - - probably to go and sell to their kinsmen in the East for Okada business. In short, your leaders are now breeding igbos that see Okada business as a life ambition, sotay they are leaving their land where everybody is supposedly a 'billionaire' to come and steal motorbikes. Smh. https://dailypost.ng/2020/08/12/we-came-from-anambra-to-steal-okada-in-ogun-suspects-tell-police/
Salewa97:I agree absolutely. And I wonder how many 'billionaires' this baby factory industry must have created in Anambra state by now. While some states are busy attracting manufacturing industries Anambra chose instead to be the headquarters of baby factories. They are even expanding it sef. Odiegwu o. |
hajimosho:Well, I don't know about their conduct in PH but the Lagos ipobs can be very troublesome tenants hence that treatment they get from Yoruba landlords. Hausa and other tribes don't go through/experience such treatment, na only dem. Though it's not all igbos in Lagos that are like that but the bad eggs have made it difficult for the good ones. |
Igbochief001:Guy, you better quit flattering yourself. I don't know what it's like in PH where you're based, but here in Lagos na Yoruba people dey reject igbo tenants and it's not even a secret. Yorubas hardly rent houses owned by igbos, rather the reality is the other way round. So I repeat, don't flatter yourself.
Igbochief001:Devil punish you for comparing yourself to Chinese and Indians. Is igboland an equivalent of China or India relative to the SW?? The average Chinese and Indian comes with serious capital to invest and establish million dollar industries. The average igboman heading to the SW via night bus (similar to the Mexican) is coming with a pair of slippers/flip-flops and a Ghana-must-go bag, with the intention of hustling (preferably hawking gala). And because our land is so blessed, their hustle eventually pays off and they end up renting a shop to continue their hustle. Most of your elite and rich folks came to Yorubaland with nothing. In other words, they 'made it' in our land and even they have acknowledged that much severally so getaway with your delusional rambling. |
Igbochief001:Hear mumu talk. It's like a mexican/Hispanic calling an American 'lazy' for allowing them come to the u.s to hustle. Your mumu na first grade. |
Igbochief001:Leave matter. Whether you need investors or not is your business. I just dey show you say na our region dey attract more capital than every other region more than 10 times sef so we no send una. Na una dey rush us for our region. We don't need Y'all. |
Igbochief001:See eh, I will keep saying it. We and una no dey the same level. The SW/Yorubas no be una mates in any way, shape or form. Y'all can keep your overhyped 'incubation system' because it is of no use to us coz there is absolutely nothing igbos have that is worth envying for the Yoruba man. We are too busy churning out entrepreneurs that are more attuned to the times than caring about an outdated apprenticeship system (where apprentices are starting to kill their bosses because the oga refused to settle them after years of slavery). You are welcome to set up markets for trading in our region any day because everyone knows that our region has the largest concentration of Nigerians with the highest purchasing power. Na we dey patronize una market else Y'all will be out of business. It is not by mistake that our region also attracts the highest form of FDI (see attached infographic), so you see, we no dey the same level at all. Yorubas are a versatile set of people so don't expect us to emulate you all by turning our cities into marketplaces for trading like Y'all. Nah. We have way more ambition than becoming nomads and going about renting 2x2 shops for trading. If that pleases una, that's fine. But we don pass that level. ![]()
dignity33:See eh, that's the problem with you igbos in general. You will go to other states to earn a living and start finding faults with your hosts as if where you are from is better and perfect, even going as far as badmouthing your hosts. Just few days ago, a whole SSA to Obiano was murdered in cold blood by cultists. Yet you have the nerve to use that gutter mouth of yours to be talking about 1-million boys. You lots are specialists when it comes to pointing out faults in others while neglecting yours. Like I said earlier, we are not in competition with you folks. If sharing Okada, cutlass, and headpan is what your politician s constituencies fancy, that is all well and good. Yorubas have gone past such crap. Our ideas concerning empowerment are as different as night is from day. Abeg stay on your lane.
You call giving out Okada of all things as empowerment?? Na your type dey glorify sharing of cutlass and headpan as is being done in Enugu. Op, you no well at all. When skill acquisition programs yakpa for SW. Look here. Your thinking highlights the different orientations of our respective leaders. While yours are creating more Okada riders, SW leaders are empowering their people with skills that would prepare them for a more competitive future. Your leaders can continue multiplying Okada riders if they like, but they should remain in your region because the SW is gradually phasing out Okada business. Goodluck to you all. ![]() |
kingzizzy:Just hear your mumu talk. So you people admit that your past behaviour of burning bridges and casting aspersions at other tribes will count against your presidential aspiration. And that Yorubas actually have 'friends up North' while igbos don't? So instead you are waiting to be gifted the Presidency on a silver platter, or failing to achieve that you will resort to blackmailing those that have painstakingly built alliances and political coalitions over time and are willing to compete for the position, by voting another Northerner, abi? And una think say una wise You cannot reap where you did not sow. |
Igboman Op, when will you people quit this your Atiku-slavery and asslicking?? Haba, una no get shame? Why not sell an igboman that you think stands a chance against Tinubu instead of promoting Atiku? Or are you suggesting that no igboman is credible or worthy of flying PDP ticket?? One minute una dey shout Biafra, another minute una dey shout igbo Presidency, the next minute una dey 'Atikulate'. Ndigbo, Which way?? |
CodeTemplar:The term 'genuine leader' is subjective dude, because who you personally consider a genuine leader may be another person's charlatan. E.g, you may admire Oyedepo while others feel differently about his motives, character, and personality. And when it comes politics, by its nature interests come into play. Tinubu is first and foremost a politician, not an activist. Tinubu is a member of the ruling party, and a prominent one at that. Such individuals don't publicly criticize their party’s policies in a way that'll cause embarrassment to the government. That's just the way party politics is played. Especially in a country like Nigeria, no matter your position regarding a sensitive issue be it religious or political, you are bound to offend the sensibilities of one party or the other. And due to his political stature, his utterances can go a long way in either dousing or inflaming tensions, therefore it's better that such individuals act as statesmen by either displaying neutrality or diplomacy and only comment sparingly. Tinubu started out as a state/regional politician, but he had more ambition of going federal therefore he rightly built bridges across various ethnic groups through his ACN party platform to enable him enrich his political credentials. And he learned very quickly how to play national politics after a few gaffes, and within a few years he spearheaded a political merger that democratically unseated an incumbent president for the first time in Nigeria's history, was instrumental in the emergence of the current president, current VP, current senate president and house of reps speaker at the federal level. This successes indicate and suggest that he's very patient and deliberate in his political calculations. This also shows that he has inculcated lessons from other renowned past and present yoruba leaders, especially Awolowo, Akintola, and Obasanjo. Of the 3, Obasanjo is the only one that ever managed to rule Nigeria at the federal level while the remaining two couldn't rise above regional leadership and influence. Whether Tinubu will one day become president of Nigeria is unclear, but at this point he's managed to build more political bridges and nurtured more political leaders than any other politician alive, and that among other factors gives him an edge over most other political actors, especially in southern Nigeria. |
Maduawuchukwu:I hear you 5%er. |
Maduawuchukwu:Lol. This coming from a 5%er. You said 'Tinubu is a nobody', and that nobody in the SE cares about or regards him, yet una dey carry him matter for head 24/7. If Tinubu is a nobody in Nigeria politics abeg who is a 'somebody'? Name one igboman that can match him in the Nigeria political scene. Just one. He's a 'nobody' yet every move he makes is news and igbo people all over social media dey beef his every move because they see him as a the major threat to their elusive presidential ambition. Tinubu is a nobody indeed. |
ThatFairGuy:Don't mind that punk. If he truly wants to know what Tinubu did he can easily Google it. People like him have already made up their minds to hate Tinubu regardless. |
