FamilyRe: First Pregnancy. First Labor. First Baby. How Was It? by olababe(f): 11:06am On Nov 28, 2008
Adbabe:
Mine was a different case. From the first month to the last month i was as strong as ever, eating well,i never vomitted.i spit occassionally.
sometimes i will just be so week.

But during the delivery,i saw the other side of it.i was in labour for 3 days and my cervix did not dialet more than 4cm.i was induces affter the water has broken for the labour to hasten up,all to no avail. When the Docter noticed that the heart beat of my baby was reducing he opted for CS.

I thank God That i can now look at my lovely baby and i dnt remeber all those pains during and after child birth.

My husband was there with me,the Doctor did not allow him to come in since it was a CS.he was peeping from the window.
My case and yours are so similar, from the first day i never vomited, nor spit i ate well was so strong all through until the day of delivery unlike urs mine was two days, my cervix didn't dilate more than 4cm, my water broke since 12am on Tuesday, i didn't deliver until 9:56pm on Wednesday.

infact it look more like i forced the baby out myself. at a point they told me that the posterior or whatever of my cervix didn't open, when i couldn't bear the pain anymore 2 doctors and a midwife had to use their hands to open my cervix, was told since i couldn't bear the pain that i had to push through contractions. it wasn't easy people, it was indeed a bitter sweet experience. my husband was there all through rubbing my back whenever the contractions become so intense, it got to a stage one of the doctors named him "Robbing Hood"

at least at the end i am able to see and carry my baby. To the Glory of God. He'll be a month old tomorrow.

RomanceRe: Am I Expecting Too Much From This Relationship? by olababe(f): 3:41pm On Nov 30, 2007
@ monisoola

so much advise for you already, you're not asking for too much but enduring too much my dear.

but 1 thing i believe in any relationship is dialogue. why don't you just walk up to him and tell him what your worries are let him know u r not ready to endure anymore, let him know u r getting tired of the relationship, if he can't give you any meaningful reason for all his actions. that means you're not so important to him afterall.

Tampico:
@Olababe
I hope wanting to be like me, doesn't mean ure 5years old, because i know for sure there ain't going to be a Nanny at the reunion grin Active readers are definitely allowed as long as u fill the form, or indicate interest. Right now i can vouch for atleast 9 people that are very serious about the  reunion. And like I said, it's not all about the crowd, but it taking place with the people that turn up.
Don't worry my nanny will definately be there to take care of things.

Lazy in filling the form, i guess i can show my interest by the raising up of hands post

An Interview with Lerato

Q: What feedback have you got since your eviction?
A: A lot of people have told me that I should have been more wary of Bertha and that she was not quite what she pretended to be.

Q: Do you agree with their take on her?
A: Somewhat. I agree that she was not who she portrayed herself to be. Funnily enough we were not that close initially.
I was so upset after Meryl left and I think Bertha was acting strategically when she made the move over to the 'Untouchable' side.

She will probably end up regretting that particular decision.

Q: Do you think she will stick with Kwaku or try to worm her way over to the other side?
A: I think she will probably stick in it with Kwaku, although I must say I don't know if her feelings for him are as genuine as she would like us to believe.

I can't wait to see how it all plays out.

I can't wait for us all to get together and have a real, honest conversation, for everyone to say how they feel without any mikes or cameras around.

Q:On to Maxwell, What first attracted you to him?
A: Initially we just clicked as friends.

The more time we spent together the closer we got and the more we got to know each other.

Eventually the two of us just gravitated towards a relationship.

It was a progressive development, it did not happen overnight.

Q: When Maxwell was evicted, he was very ambiguous about the relationship between the two of you and very vocal about his love for his girlfriend. What do you think about that?
A: Well when it comes to Max, I'm not going to listen to what other people say, I don't want to think too much about the negative.

I know what went on between us and as soon as I get a chance, I want to talk to him and see where we are both at.

I guess I just have to wait and see what will happen and take it from there.

Q: Do you regret having a relationship with him?
A: No, not at all.

Q: Do you think it spoiled your chances of winning the competition?
A: It could have but still, I don't regret it.

Q: Are you aware that Max's girlfriend dumped him because of his relationship with you?
A:I am aware of it but as I said I have not spoken to him yet as I have been very busy with media interviews.

I will say this though, when we do eventually talk - that is sure to be one heck of an interesting conversation.

Q: Besides Max, which of the other evicted housemates would you like to talk to?
A: I would love to try and contact Meryl and Justice.

If you happen to speak to Meryl, please tell her to call me! I would really love her to come to my eviction party.

Q: On to house matters , You were very outspoken in the house. Was that part of your strategy?
A:No , that was just me being me. I believe in free speech and my mother taught me to speak up about things that bother me.

That is what I had against some of the housemates - the fact that they never spoke about issues, they never communicated about what was bothering them.

Q: During your post-eviction interview with KB, you remarked that the house would be boring without you. What do you think of the way Africa has voted so far in this competition?
A: Just because I was voted out doesn't change the way I feel about the way the whole of Africa has been voting.
Generally though I think that the entertaining and fun people have been voted out like Meryl, Max and myself.

It doesn't make sense to me, to vote out the entertaining people and keep the less entertaining, less fun people in.

Q: It just goes to show that Africa cannot handle strong women like you and Meryl and that they would rather keep an adulterous man in the house, like Richard.
A:Exactly - you took the words right out of my mouth. I spoke to him about it and discussed it in my diary room sessions extensively.

I think Tatiana might be playing Richard and that he is just too stupid to see it.

If that was my husband I would have my lawyer throw the divorce papers over the garden wall, hopefully it would land right in his lap while he was lying in the hammock with Tatiana.

Q:Who do you think will win?
A: I think Ofunneka stands a good chance.

Her strategy seems to be working, she is playing both sides ,

I like to call her the 3D - the Dancing Domestic Diva.

All she does is dance, cook and clean.

Dance, cook and clean.
the part i like most

Q: I mean honestly - would you want to get rid of the person who is making life a little easier for you, by cooking and cleaning all the time? What was your lowest point in the house? There were a couple of low points.
A:  When Meryl left, I was quite upset and spoke about her quite a bit.

The day Max left was really horrible.

It was such a draining experience - emotionally and physically.

It took me almost a week to get my spirits up again.

The other low point was when we had to do the obstacle course.

That was very taxing, physically and mentally as I felt like I had already failed - even before I began.

That was tough.

Q: And the highest?
A: Every time I went to the Penthouse was a blast.

All four times were just incredible.

I had fun each and every time and it was great to be the only person who had been to the Penthouse four times.

It would have been five if I hadn't taken the World Cup tickets.

I was the Penthouse Queen.

Q: Any regrets?
A: No.

Q: What are your plans now?
A: I really enjoy my job in event management so I would like to continue doing that but I would also like to take the opportunity to travel around Africa a bit.

I would love to go to each of the 11 other countries to experience everything that was talked about in the house.

I would love to venture into television - perhaps a lifestyle programme, something which involves music and travel.

Even radio - I guess the sky is really the limit.

RomanceRe: My Boyfriend Apparently Wants To Marry This Other Girl by olababe(f): 2:12pm On Jul 24, 2007
Why don't you see it like this too my dear,
--- that your guy is playing the other girl and not you
-- that he sent that reply so the girl might fall for him
--- that he is only doing all that so the girl can believe he is in love and flee after he has got what he wants from her.

Note the ffg;

1 The fact that a guy loves you doesn't mean he can sleep with someone else.
2 The fact that he didn't tell you he's going out with the girl means he still respect you.

my dear, every guy is a cheat as far as i am concern
My advice just see each new day with him as the beginning of the end of the relationship, so that whenever the big news come, you'll be able to take it.

i am experiencing the same thing with my boyfriend and i can tell how you feel, don't jump into conclusions.

if you have to leave him, leave him wout his green card, you can be the best wout him, wout any man.

God bless
