Your sponsor does not need to be in Nigeria. But he will have to send the money directly to your account. You need to fully convince MIGRI that the 6720 euros in your account came from your brother and the best way for them is to see the money leaving his account and appearing in your own. Your sponsor will also need to send proof relating to his source of income.... pay slips, employment letter, etc.

2. I would like to know the total number of months that the Finnish embassy will demand for statement of account(6months or a year).

They usually ask for 6 months.... but you will get an elaborate requirement when you send an email to Finno embasy in Abuja regarding fixing an interview date.

3. I would also like to know if having 1.5million in my account is enough considering the exchange rate fluctuation in Nigeria presently.

1.5M should be fine..... last year offical rate was around 218 and parallel market was 238 and 1.5M was fine. If you can afford to get 1.7M to 2M in your account that will be better............ GeneXY stated that he had 1.5M in his account last year and the guy fit dey sleep less than 200 meters away from me or make he dey receive lecture for UTA
