NNAMDI KANU: THE GAME OF PASSIVE AGGRESSION
By Umeh Chummy
In his Book 'The 50th Law' prolific writer Robert Greene opined that in today's world, just like every other thing Warfare has evolved, the first to roll out tanks and military hardware (active aggressor) usually suffer the heaviest casualty and loss.
This is so because wars are now prosecuted by allies and proxies and to win more allies you must be seen as vulnerable and endangered.
Contemporary warriors understand this new phenomenon hence they came up with a strategy of war called Passive aggression.
A passive aggressor baits, taunts and VERBALLY attacks his enemy ruthlessly all in a bid to make him take a few wrong steps that will nail him. He must ensure at all cost that his enemy is the first to pull the trigger.
Political warfare has also evolved to this point.
I don't know of anyone who has implemented Passive aggression so masterfully like Nnamdi Kanu. In fact I don't think there would've been any Kanu without this strategy.
He understands Buhari's ego, arrogance, high handedness and military reflexes.
This made his regime very predictable hence Kanu has been setting agenda for this government since it came in and he is about to collapse the government without firing a shot.
Immediately after 2015 elections, Nnamdi Kanu doubled down on his rhetorics against Buhari. In line with his expectation, immediately after inauguration The President mandated relevant agencies to jam the signal of Radio Biafra. Kanu managed to keep Radio Biafra on the airwaves.
This gave him the publicity he required as his name graced the front pages of almost all the tabloids in Nigeria.
In his bid to create a kind of cult following he has today in the East he decided to dramatize all he has been saying in London- Buhari's suffocating hatred for Ndigbo and his willingness to sacrifice anything for Biafra, he announced his coming down to Nigeria. Expectedly, when Kanu came in the government arrested him and tried to quell the protest that ensued with brute force, this brought the Biafra agitation to the front burner on the international scale.
He knows that courage is not only contagious but also seductive, so he maintained a defiant outlook and made sure he uttered words that suggested he is not backing down every day he came to court. His followership swelled and became fanatical.
After he was granted bail, he knew it was time to show the world that he is not a secessionist but a leader of a self determination movement so he organized rallies. The rallies were attended by sea of people and foreign journalists were there to record that. The government became a bit cautious and allowed the rallies to hold but at some point that was frustrating Kanu. Yes the people want Biafra, but why do they want it? What are they running away from? Why will the world see the Biafra Referendum as an urgent need?
He knows that you can keep agitating for a UN supervised Referendum without getting it unless the world considers that as a way to protect an endangered people and save them from oppression and intimidation.
Hence he needed to dramatize to the world perils of being Igbo in Nigeria and prove to them how crude and mindless Nigerian leaders and army can be on Igbos and expose a gang up against Ndigbo .
He doubled down heavily on Buhari. 'the person they brought back from London is not Buhari, he is one Jubrin from Sudan ' he said.
The world understands that propaganda is part every struggle so it doesn't matter what you say but what you do.
He needed to trigger Buhari's military reflexes, Biafra security service (BSS) was formed and he dared Buhari to arrest him.
Kanu knows that once the President is angry he acts before thinking.
At this point President Buhari committed the biggest blunder of his life in government, he rolled out the tanks on a people who were just holding Biafran flags, talking and throwing their fists in the air. At the risk of their lives Kanu and IPOB made sure that this military invasion was well recorded and documented.
in a haste to cover their mistakes the government went ahead to label the Indigenous people of Biafra (IPOB) a terrorist organization. This portrayed Nigerian government as dangerously unserious and diplomatically stupid. Labelling IPOB registered in The US and UK a terrorist group is tantamount to accusing those countries of harbouring domestic terrorist cells- that's the interpretation in diplomatic circles.
These blunders sealed the deal for Biafrans, Referendum is no longer a matter of if but when.
Do you still wonder why Obasanjo, a man that dismissed Kanu and IPOB as a group of hungry boys looking for money from govt a year ago is now advising Buhari to dialogue with Kanu?
Do you still wonder why the Army that declared IPOB a terrorist organization came out to deny that after 2 days?
Do you still wonder why Buhari, a no nonsense President hurriedly arranged Northern governors to head to the East for peace talks?
Do you still wonder why the quiet GEJ suddenly came out to tell the President to seek advice from ex presidents on how to handle the Biafran agitation?
Kanu has boxed the government to a corner, the international pressure has reached a crescendo and some people do not want to answer for genocide at Hague.

I would have ignore this thread if not I was invited,
it didn't deserve my attention.
I don't know what I can argue about because the bad had done to the kanu and it's organization this is a cry of defeated group that naturally no matter be you must have something to say.
If what happen to kanu's is in world strategy standard as you stated, the whole world leaders who met in UN won't keep mute on it.
so you people must stop been deceived and deceiving yourselves, you must aline with the reality of this world.
if the totality of a regional government of Catalonian end-up in prison because of their intention to exercise the same right kanu and igbo is standing for. I doubt if you people learn lesson!

But meanwhile.... let me tell u, Igbos did not murder hausa ruling elite. Kaduna Nzeogwu and 6 other Igbos along with many soldiers of different tribes murderd top govt officials. They didnt consult the igbos b4 doing this. Many igbos living in villages only got to knw what had happened when the war broke out. Why did war break out? because murtala muhammed and other hausa soldiers didnt knw to differentiate politics with ethnic bigotry. For the deed of these 7 igbos (who by the way were majorly born in the north), these guys surported an ethnic cleansing of innocent igbos living in the north who were mostly oblivious of what was going on. Many of them have been living in the north all their lives and spoke hausa fluently... that fact didnt save them. Ojukwu asked gowon to stop the killing and bring the killers to book in the interest of one nigeria.. gowon didnt. Ojukwu was forced to threaten to break away with his territory which alltimately led to war. During the war... while igbos were targeting nigeria's millitary, Nigeria were targering igbo civilians... yet a repeat of wat led to the war in the first place. Innocent igbos died because of an hausa-brought up kaduna nzeogwu who probably doesnt even knw d way to his villiage in Asaba. Igbos yet again were starved to death to end the war quickly... a war which they neva asked for. It is these bad blood and the fact that the igbos have continued to suffer the after effect of the civil war that gave nnamdi kanu large fellowership. The govt should have called for talks but instead.... as usual they called for violence.. and yet again, violence on non millitant populace.
The hate is mutual. But the hate was not started by igbos who were largely not interested in politics. Go to youtube and listen to Ahmadu Bellos interviews
igbo must learn to live above sentiment!
not only Kaduna Nzeogwu killed all prominents politicians of other region, spared their's but igbo nation wide jubilation the atrocity.
No igbo leaders condemned the killing!
still igbo had chance to correct the error, but refused, because it was igbo who became president after the sad event but did nothing!
same scenario happen to kanu agitation hate speeches, no igbo condemn it until it back fired!
this never done in civilize world!

The Cameroonian and Biafran separatists were in the same scenario, they don't realize it's not easy to over-turn the pack or treaty signed even if dated centuries ago!
The treaty didn't stop with the generation that sign it, it stay forever, so it never easy to over-turn it.
When the biafran youths said marriage is not by force I laugh at their ignorant.
Every states was formed on negotiation decades ago, and that negotiations and agreement will continue function forever!
southern Cameroon signed to their annexation to Cameroon,
Biafran signed the surrendered treaty to the continuity of the United Nigeria.
these treaties would be difficult to over-turn if not impossible!
eg. Texas was part of mexico before, after they fought mexico to voluntarily join United State, the generation of Texas of today were agitating for separate country, it was never come, am talking of the most developed and civilized nation of the whole world!
It's better to know what to agitating for, so as to save lives, resources and properties!

SSBN:
Cameroon is a country straddling West and Central Africa. It has a population of 24 million people, of which 20 percent are English speaking. Called the “Anglophones” or Amazonians, these people have been horrendously marginalized and oppressed. Their crimes? THEY SPEAK ENGLISH.

AMBAZINIANS. Who are these people? what is the Anglophone crises about?

Not many people know that Southern Cameroon was initially a United Nations Trust Territory, governed. In pursuance of the UN charter affirming that independence was the unalienable rights of all colonies and trust territories, a UN organized was held in Southern Cameroon on 11 February 1961 in which the following questions were asked :
Do you wish to achieve independence by joining the Independent Federation of Nigeria?

…or do you wish to achieve independence by joining the independent Republic of Cameroon ?

As you can see its not by force. Nobody forced them to do anything. The people of Southern Cameroons voted to achieve independence by dumping fellow English speaking Nigeria to join French speaking public of Cameroon. A decision they obviously now regret.

But this is where it gets funny folks. During the plebiscite and despite the outcome of the vote, Cameroon voted NO against union with Southern Cameroons. The NO vote was instigated by France, which led all the independent French colonies to vote “NO”. The only French colony to vote yes was MALI. Despite the YES vote, Cameroon ignored simply ignored the Resolutions and agreements reached and with the backing of France illegally occupied the Southern Cameroons. Not one of the United Nations Resolutions was respected, nor the promise made by Cameroon itself.

Of course it didn’t take long for the people of Anglophone Cameroon to wake up to the reality of how repression, inhumanity and bloodletting the Biya regime is willing to visit on them. The Cameroonian government has for years subdued and neutralized agitation and calls for economic and political fairness and equality with weapons provided by the French.

OPPRESSION

The current bloodletting and OPPRESION inflicted on the Anglo Cameroonians is due to an well thoughtout systemic and planned genocide visited on them simply because if their cultural affinity to Nigeria, the second biggest Anglophone country on Earth after India and the United States. Attempts by the Ambazonians to to resist the machinations of the Paul Biya government and his mentally enslaved supporters has only led to more brutal repressions visited on them mercilessly.

Cameroonian Gendarmes watch over a group of arrested Anglophone protesters.

The barbarity of the French backed Cameroonian dictatorship is not limited to physical cancerous repression, they have incorporated psycological brutality on the poor people of Amazonia. Teachers from the French provinces of the Cameroon are sent to teach students of the English speaking provinces. French language and court magistrates versed in civil law are being sent to rule over courts in the English speaking provincesthat oravtisr Common English Laws.
To say that this is madness will be an understatement. These magistrates do not speak English, the language of the lawyers and litigants of the English speaking provinces, they don’t even have a clue of the procedures with the English common law system. What’s worse, all the governor’s and policemen and military heads in Anglophone Cameroon are conversant only in the French language and are from the French speaking provinces of Cameroon. These guys do not view the Southern Cameroonians as fellow countrymen, rather they treat Southern Cameroon as a forcefully annexed, enslaved and marginalized people. In a country with 36 ministers there is only one Anglophone.

But despite the horrible treatment and marginalization netted on them by the dictator -Paul Biya and his pathetic supporters, the people of Southern Cameroon have made great strides in Cameroon. They have the same never say die resilience and entrepreneurial traits found in Anglophone countries like Nigeria and this further infuriates the mentally enslaved and docile Franco-Cameroonians.

You see unlike France, Britannia did not interfere with the domestic affairs of the colonies they granted independence.Economically, militarily and diplomatically you were on your own after independence. This imbeded a culture of self reliance and resilience in a situation where the alternative is destruction. Decades of self reliance has made Anglophone Africa the dominant force in Africa economically and are truly independent countries.

Contrast that with French Africa who till this day remain the poorest and least developed in Africa. Can you imagine Ghana, Nigeria, South Africa or even Kenya paying colonial taxes to Britannia, or being forced to keep its foreign reserves in British Banks? Cameroon shares a land border with Africa’s richest nation and consumer market of 200 million people , what most nations can only dream of, yet trades more with France, a colonial power three thousand miles away. Such is how successful the French have been with their policy of assimilation and mental slavery of Africans.

Despite the horrid treatments suffered by Anglophone Cameroonians, internation reaction has been muted. By keeping mute to the sufferings of Anglophone Cameroon we are not so different from Biya himself. Addressing the sufferings of the poor people of Southern Cameroon requires a firmer international reaction, and Anglophone Nigeria must be at the forefront in bringing an end to oppresion of the Amazonians. These people have for years being subtely calling for our help and our politicians are either too clueless to see that or just don’t care. For example, Anglophone activists-who the Cameroonians call militants, have for years being organising protests in Anglophone region every 1 October and some spectacular actions, such as the proclamation of independence by the “Ambazonian Republic Radio Buea, yet we as Nigerians have turned a deaf ear.

Nigerian soldiers pose with an Amazonian flag.

Cameroon, backed by France have for decades supported secessionist groups in Nigeria to actualise their dream of divided Nigeria. It is time Nigeria looks into the demands of the people of Ambazinians, only this time it will be for a just cause. Nigeria despite her size and power have never harboured expansionist policies.
Chronology of Cameroons Babarity.

On November 8 2016, just last year.

Anglophone lawyers mobilised hundreds of peoplefor a march in the Cameroonian province of Barmenda and reiterated theor plea for the full restoration of the Common Law system. Now it’s not even as if this one was a violent protest, at least nobody was armed. But while the March was taking place Cameroonian gendarmes violently dispersed the crowd, arrested the lawyers. By the end of the day nine people were dead.

November 21 2016.

An Anglo protector shot by Cameroonian Gendarmes rushed to the hospital.

Anglophone teachers went on strike. They organized a rally against the lack of Anglophone teachers, we are talking about the appointment of teachers who do not have a good command of English. As usual the gendarmes violently broke the protest, people were, two people were shot dead.
November 28 2016.

Anglophone university students brutalized by Cameroonian security forces.
Students at a Cameroonian at a Cameroonian University organised a peaceful march on campus, calling for the payment to students of theor bonus. You seem these Amazonians were dumb enough to believe Paul Biya when he promised an “achievement bonus” to students who excelled well. Biya’s response was to have the police repress the students. Female students were strapped naked, beaten up and ordered to roll in the mud. One was allegedly raped. Some were arrested in their homes. But the worse was yet to come.

December 8 2016.

French Cameroonians, arguably the most brainwashed people on Earth organized a pro-government rally in the Anglophone regions. Angry Anglophone Cameroonians prevented the rally from taking place. Violent clashes ensued, eight died, dozens wounded and dozens more arrested.

January 2017

Again peaceful protests in Bamenda, again three dead, properties set on fire.

February 2017.

Again peace rallies, again 12 killed, 82 arrested including teachers and journalists.Prominent Anglphones like Paul Abin Ayah, a Supreme Court judge was arrested without a warrant. Others like Tassangand Harmony Bogba fled into exile in Nigeria.

The problem here is not the Cameroonian government, it's Ambazinian one
reason:
you have two option backing by the UN,
i. Nigeria
ii. Cameroon
and your father then choose Cameroon!
Now you children wake-up to correct your father's error but in another option to the UN option.
that is:
you no longer choose between, Nigeria And Cameroon but you were agitating for new country, Nigeria can never help you on that!
may be you search further why UN was not given you an independence for new country option in 1961.
but if you want to join Nigeria, Nigeria will stand and join you!
so you need to settle what you want really and agitating for it!
it will be very difficult for you to have a new nation today!

Naira will crash immensely! 1 dollar will be equivalent to 1000 naira. There will be chaos everywhere. The price of goods will escalate. When the price of crude oil fell three years ago, Nigeria ran into recession, but guess what? This time, oil will not be coming up so there will be no dollar to assist your Naira.

Foreign AffairsSpanish Police Arrest Catalan Officials In Attempt To Halt Illegal Independence by oladeebo(op): 7:55pm On Sep 20, 2017
Spanish police arrest Catalan officials in attempt to halt illegal independence referendum
Spanish police raided Catalan Government offices and arrested officials on Wednesday to halt a banned referendum on independence, an action the regional president said meant Madrid had effectively taken over his administration.

Key points:
A raid by Spanish police resulted in arrests of several Catalan government officials
Printers, newspaper offices and cars raided for referendum materials
Independence eferendum set for October 1
Referendum goes against Spain's constitution which states the country is indivisible
State police arrested Catalonia's junior economy minister Josep Maria Jove in Barcelona in their first raid of government offices in the region, Catalan Government sources said. The raid targeted several regional government departments.

Xavier Puig, a senior at the Department of External Affairs, Institutional Relations and Transparency of the Catalan Government office, was also arrested by Guardia Civil officers.
A dozen high-ranking local officials were arrested, LaVanguardia newspaper said. The police confirmed they were carrying out raids connected with the banned referendum, but did not give details. The Catalan Government sources could not confirm the other arrests.
Police efforts to stop the referendum, which the central government says is illegal, have intensified in recent days as the wealthy north-eastern region shows no signs of halting it.
Acting under court orders, police have raided printers, newspaper offices and private delivery in a search for campaign literature, instruction manuals for manning voting stations, and ballot boxes.
On Tuesday, the Civil Guard, a national police force, seized more than 45,000 envelopes packed in cardboard boxes that the Catalan government was ready to send to notify people around the region about the referendum.
The first of hundreds of Catalan mayors were also forced to appear before the state prosecutor on Tuesday after they said they would back the referendum.
