Travel / Re: Please I Need Advice From People In Abuja. Am Depressed! by oladeleadebayo1: 7:59am On Mar 16, 2023
Karikapapaya:
Please šŸ„ŗ I need advice. Since I graduated from University of Benin in 2011, I have not had a good job. I also have a Masters degree from same Uni. I reside in Warri in Delta State. I also own a diploma in theology, that means have been to bible school. Have been teaching in different private schools since 2011. Am 34 now will be 35 in few months time. Lots of people are putting pressure on me to get married but I am scared I can't sustain a family with my meagre private school teacher's salary. Am considering relocating to Abuja to see if I could get a better life with my credentials. I don't know how life really is over there? If I could get a better job? even if it's a good private school that pays well. What's the cost of accommodation? Am just trying to take a leap of faith. Though it seems late, but better late than never. I just feel a change in environment would be better because help is not forth coming from anywhere. I could also work as a pastor in a church if I can get accommodation. Someone please help me I need counsel. Thank you in anticipation šŸ™. I have been thinking šŸ¤” too much lately. Seems like am running out of time cos most of my mates are already married and settled. Help a brother. Am Esan by tribe but born and brought up in Warri. Am like a burden to my aged parents right now because I still live with them and feed from them. I have savings of up to 150k. Keep the advice coming please. Should I just rent a small house in Warri and be managing things or I should relocate to Abuja ? Or even Lagos? I know I am brilliant because I graduated with a second class upper grade with a 4. Point CGPA in biochemistry. I can speak fluently and can defend my certificate but have not been really lucky with jobs. Have spent t fare attending different interviews in Lagos in the past I had to give up and stop coupled with he fact that the age factor isn't on my side anymore.

Here is the link to the thread where the selection will take place.

READ THE POST CAREFULLY AND ADHERE TO THE RULES THEREIN.

https://www.nairaland.com/7501723/270k-giveaway-lucky-nairalanders-selection#119528226

Hi fam, this is your guy, Snowland. I know it's been a while since I did a public giveaway. Here's one before the year ends.

I'm giving away a total of N270,000 and I'm going to need assistance with selecting the lucky winners.

In case you're wondering why 270k, here's why.

About 10 years ago, precisely 12/27/2012, I attended my first and last F1 student visa interview at the US consulate, Abuja and the journey to where I am today started on that day.

Nairaland was extremely instrumental to my adequate preparation, hence I want to give back to this forum once again, particularly in this Travel section.

I'm thinking giving out 10k to 27 people or 27k to 10 people.

Here's what I need help with:

1. 27k to 10 people OR 10k to 27 people. Please like either of the 2 posts below to indicate your choice.

2. I need suggestions how to select this winners.

Suggestions to Number 2 above, with the most likes will be adopted.

UPDATED UPDATE: Once this thread gets to end of 4TH page, suggestion with the most likes, no matter how ridiculous it sounds, WILL be adopted.

LATEST UPDATE: I see lots of people suggesting 5k for 54 people. In as much as the idea sounds laudable, the reason I wanted to give the 270k out will be defeated. The numbers 10 and 27 need to be represented.

Snowland.

Bro Opeyemi Ojetunde God will continue to bless you as you are trying to show love and kindness to others.

Jobs/Vacancies / Day-light Robbery By Nigerian Banks by oladeleadebayo1: 9:48am On Dec 28, 2019
Goodmorning N'lander, this morning I went to use first bank ATM unfortunately there was no network on all the ATM at that branch.Since I needed cash urgently, I went to GTbank ATM,i inserted my card with pin and pressed withdraw, guess what happened? a list of denomination was show on the screen ranging from one thousand to five thousand naira being the highest.Since I want to withdraw more than five thousand naira, I removed my card from the first machine and tried it on the next available machine, lo and behold same amount of denomination was shown on the ATM screen,5 thousand naira being the highest I can withdraw per time.I have to withdraw many times in order to get the needed amount and on each 5 thousand naira withdrawal 65 naira is being deducted from my account.
I see this act as a means for nigerian banks to rob nigerians of their hard earn money.
