A suspect in the Dallas police shooting has been identified as Micah X. Johnson, 25, the Los Angeles Times reported Friday. Johnson was a resident of the Dallas area who had no ties to terror groups or a criminal history. An unnamed law enforcement official told the Los Angeles Times Johnson had relatives in Mesquite, Texas.
Johnson appears to have been the only gunman in Thursday’s night’s deadly sniper attack on the Dallas police, according to the New York Times. Originally, officials reported that there were two or three “snipers” involved in the attack.

“He wanted to kill officers. And he expressed killing white people, killing white officers, he expressed anger for Black Lives Matter,” Dallas Police Chief David Brown said during a press conference. Chief Brown also stated that the suspect claimed the police would find I.E.Ds.

According to Army records, Johnson was a Private First Class in the U.S. Army Reserves, serving from 2009 to 2015. CSKA Moscow forward, Ahmed Musa, is close to finalising a move to Premier League champions, Leicester City. He had been linked since last season to current EPL champions even though his team rejected a bid from the foxes.
Indeed, prior to his years with CSKA Moscow, there were a few obvious indicators that Musa would excel at the top level.

Musa began his career in Jos with GBS Academy in 2008. He was then loaned out the same year to JUTH FC for two seasons where he played 18 games and scored 4 goals. He was later loaned to Kano Pillars FC in 2009 where he was pivotal for Pillars in the 09/10 campaign as they finished second. It was this season Musa set the record for the highest goals ever scored in a season (18 goals) in the history of the Nigerian Premier League.

This record was however erased by the 20 goals of Kaduna United’s Jude Aneke in 2011. Musa then signed for dutch club VVV-Venlo in 2010, spending 2 seasons and scoring 8 goals.

Musa signed on 7 January 2012 for Russian club CSKA Moscow for an undisclosed fee and went on to score 42 goals in 125 appearances for the club.

Due to his style of play, he is ready-made for the pace and physicality of English football. At 1.68m he is not a tall player but he is primarily known to be a fast dribbling and creative player who likes to cut inside and become a thorn in the flesh of full-backs.

Due to these attributes Musa has been known to score great goals. Let us not forget his wonder brace against Argentina in the 2014 world cup.

He is also known to be versatile, as he can play up-front and on both wings.
He also has defensive ethics which is an additional advantage to wingers in the EPL who often have to track back and check overlapping full-backs.

Oculus CEO Brendan Iribe had his Twitter account hacked Wednesday; the hacker took the opportunity to promptly announce a new CEO for the virtual reality company.

This is just the latest in a string of tech CEO’s having their Twitter accounts compromised, this attack does not appear to be from the same hacker group responsible for the hacks on the accounts of Travis Kalanick, Sundar Pichai, Mark Zuckerberg and Dick Costolo.

It appears @Lid gained access to the account through utilizing an old password. As of the time of this writing, the CEO’s account appears to still be compromised by Twitter user @Lid.

If you’re done with selfie sticks and are looking for what comes next in the narcissistic world of self-photography, look no further than Hover Camera, a new “personal” drone that gives you a different — more aerial — view of you and your life.

Hover Camera is a tiny foldable drone that hovers around you, controlled by a compatible smartphone app, snapping 4k video and photos via a 13-megapixel camera. It is seriously portable, and made of carbon fiber so durable, too. Most impressive for those with young kids or pets around, its wings are enclosed and out of reach of hands, which probably makes it one of the safest drones around.

The device has been developed by U.S.-Chinese company Zero Zero Robotics over the past two years and is intended to go on sale over the next few months. There’s no confirmed price for Hover Camera right now, but Zero Zero Robotics CEO and founder Mengqiu Wang told us that the final cost will be sub-$600. The plan is to make it available in China and the U.S. first, before later going in sale in Europe and other parts of the world.


Wang, who graduated from Stanford and includes Twitter among his past employers, took us through the product at TechCrunch Shanghai 2016. It’s super simple to operate: you simply throw it in the air to get started, and then fold the drone to shut it down.

One downside is battery life, always a challenge for drones, which is currently around eight minutes. Wang said the company plans to boost that with new technology before it is released, and the battery is removable so you can carry spares with you.

Argentina and Barcelona forward Lionel Messi retired from international duty after missing in a penalty shootout as Chile won the Copa America final.

In their quest to make the patronage of locally made products mandatory, the Senate,yesterday, passed the Public Procurement Act Amendment Bill.

The passage of the bill was sequel to the consideration of report of the Senate Committee on Public Procurement, sponsored by Senator Joshua Dariye, PDP, Plateau Central. The bill, titled “A Bill For An Act To Amend The Public Procurement Act To provide for and Adopt A Local Content Policy and Timely Completion of Procurement Processes and Other Related Matter,” passed third reading at the Senate.

Earlier, Senator Joshua Dariye said the bill, when assented to, would amend certain relevant sections of the 2007 Procurement Act to favour local manufacturers and ensure speedy completion of projects. Dariye said: “Similarly, the issue of disposal which is an integral aspect of procurement has been aptly captured by the amendment in the new sub-clause 1(e).”

Do you have any connections with any ecommerce stores? I have spoken with some book retailers in Nigeria and they needed me to send them the books free of charge and they will get in touch with me if they make any sales. I am not particularly happy with those terms. I would love to discuss with people who are interested in buying outright, even at wholesale prices. All my books have had amazing reviews and are selling everyday online on Amazon, so I know selling the books would not be a problem.

Something I was recently made aware of (though I am not certain how accurate this is) is that you cannot download ebooks from Amazon from Nigeria. Is this correct?

I was refering to the background image, if you can only blur it a little so your letters and characters can be more visible, because some vision impaired readers may visit your site and not able to read well cos of the background image.

As for the amazon affiliate products, its cool since you are promoting mummy products. I dont know from which country you promote your blog, but as it seems according to your blog address i think its in the UK. But according to your contents your audience are likely to be from Nigeria, so I will suggest that you also promote products from Naija local ecommerce stores.
