On the tribalism issue. I daresay the endemic & constant bickering between those members who have appointed themselves advocates of respective tribes are being encouraged by the administrators of this group. Their silence on this issue is quite alarming, Mr Seun ...You lay claim to creating the largest youth discussion forum in Africa, yet the proliferation of hate speech and offensive invectives are the order of the day.
One would think a balance should be drawn between drawing traffic & creating a conducive platform for stimulating discourse. You guys are losing it. Here in the Nigerian Law School, guys hiss at the mention of nairaland.... the general sentiment is tribal e-warriors have taken over the site and the owner is simply powerless & ineffectual OR plain opportunistic to seize the proverbial bull by the horn ...and develop measures to sanction members.

tomquest: It's such a shame! I don't know whether it's because of poverty or lack of exposure. Don't they watch movies? While I was in one of the western cities, every damn street has street lights for decades past. Nobody celebrates trash! It's the local council's job to maintain these lighting infrastructures 24/7.
Africa is just a shithole of stupid pathetic goats whose best hobby is to celebrate polithiefcians for giving them poo. Nonsense! Lol.... Calm down, its no use getting pissed over these sycophants. From the East to the West...North to South. They are all the same. Streetlight is the least any elected official should do. A number of our youths are way blinded to reason beyond petty tribalism & pitching tent to actually sober reflect and realise these politicians are taking us all for a ride. |

UIA04: Evidence you say?
I presume when you where in the University you went about looking for evidence of those campus cults you even saw their banner where they invited eligible people to join as members and fill forms
It's a SECRET SOCIETY.
all their activities are kept secret except:
Through those who where part of it and left The ones they want you to know about or Through divine revelation
Now the ones they want you to know about are all over their music videos, currency, even children's cartoons , and everything they own but if you don't open your eyes you'lld see
You can get to YouTube to search for videos of people exposing them Aunty ...stop getting all worked up over nothing. Using your "campus cult" analogy, while it's true they are secret and don't do open registration.... It is trite that when they strike ...they leave some sort of pointer as to their identity. I put it to you that all you know about the sign is culled from the big internet. We all say so much about Jayz affiliation to some fancy cult. Yet nobody bothered to trace his success story.... He's had a fair share of hustle .... He didn't have it easy . Just recently, he's been trying to make Tidal surpass Apple Music, yet if and when he eventually "blows".... Haters will be like "it's illuminati".... You should sober-reflect on that while "placing focus on your life" and worrying less on mundane issues. |

You need more than geezus, you need an education. Clown ....you expect the Executive President to make a robust statement on a bill that won't leave committee stage. Perhaps you should acquaint yourself with the concept of Separation of Powers. Cos I see no reason y'all are making a fuss about nothing. The speaker is a devout Christian himself ....needless paranoia when there are germane issues. As for Education .... I sympathize with you .... I schooled at a place you dreamt to visit. Peace |
Politics › Re: Sharia Bill: Speaker Dogara Reacts by olagamalin(m): 11:14pm On May 28, 2016 |
plaetton: Who sponsored the bill?
On bills touching on Constitutional matters, isn't it normally prudent for the President to let his people know where he stands on the issues ? You mean President Buhari...really . So the part of the President's job description is to monitor the daily workings of the National Assembly, making peremptory statements on inane issues. You people truly need Jesus. |
Politics › Re: Sharia Bill: Speaker Dogara Reacts by olagamalin(m): 11:11pm On May 28, 2016 |
agabusta: I'm tired of your garbage. You are the one who is seriously confused.
Constitutional amendment only came into the talk when it was discovered that some aspects of the bill will conflict constitutional provisions.
Hence, the bill cannot be treated like other bills but was referred to the committee on constitution amendment.
I will leave you to continue wallowing in your ignorance, intolerance and paranoia.
Sometimes you guys behave as if you are more 'Christian' than others. But your actions portray your hypocrisy. Because they are actually fuelled by bigotry and not actually love for christ. You should be given a medal or something. I cringe at the bigotry expressed by fellow Christians...always feigning to be more Catholic than the Pope. They just jump right into conclusion. |
