If anyone believes in Jesus and acknowledges Him as Lord and Saviour, it is enough to save him. For everyone who calls upon the name of Jesus shall be saved |
Children are their parent's responsibilities, absolutely. Except under very unusual circumstances should a child be separate from his own parents. For emphasis, the best place to grow and nature a child is within his immediate family that contains actively present parents |
First of all, there's nothing like 'Critical doctor '. A doctor is a doctor. frog12: |
Those of you that accused her falsely know yourselves, don't conscript is abeg winterfell007: |
I agree with you. Let them build strong government institutions that will make it difficult for fraudsters to operate or rather prosecute them KillahPriest: |
yinkus6750:What bra? What Jewelry? Of all she would use money to buy, it's diamond bra? For whose benefit? Those that peddled the lies in the first place knew it was all a lie. They hung corruption charges on her and Sambo Dasuki. Claims that are unfounded and could not be proven. Sambo Dasuki that is tried in Nigeria has not been found guilty by a Nigerian court. |
How can you accuse someone of so much without having proof. The proof should be the basis why you accuse her in the first place. Isn't it? brain54: |
Mehn This woman has been through a lot. Accused to the highest heavens. Demonized and insulted with no concrete proof. Even her former husband kept asking her to drop his name. |
The headline is misleading, inciting and unnecessary. Op is claiming without proof that doctors are causing 'medical disasters' of great proportion because of their prescriptions. Not good. |
And it's not because 'they went to church.' It's because they are understaffed. That's the problem, being understaffed. It's not church. frog12: |
The issue with one-sided stories regardless of who is telling them is that they cannot be trusted to be absolute truths. Now, this guy was not on ground. He didn't know if the hospital had doctors neither did he know how many doctors there were in that hospital. He is claiming that because it was a Sunday, ALL the doctors went to church. According to him, the problem is not that the hospitals are grossly understaffed. He is bringing a 'religious' sentiment into a clear systemic problem. I have observed that people commenting how religion is a 'problem'. But, does it make sense when someone says that in Vatican city, doctors didn't man their station because 'they went for mass?' Or that doctors in Saudi went to the mosque hence they didn't attend to emergencies? We overlook systemic issues and blame what is not. If there was one doctor covering that hospital like in many cases in Nigeria and he chooses to be off on a Sunday, would he be wrong? Even where they have enough hands, people must rest. This demand of self-sabotage is the same as the President asking us to make sacrifices for the country. Summarily, I believe this person is being insincere and is being sentimental. Anyone who hears him will be wise to truly consider the matter |
He is not supporting because of 'ego' That's an interesting one |
This is what Nigerians do that's disheartening. Politicising everything. This was how they turned Chibok girls to campaign points. These children and teachers are human beings. They have families and lived ones seeing their videos everywhere. It has nothing to do with any politician. Any politician using this as a campaign talking point is devious |
Ironfaceman:I just want to say that you are thinking. The opposition is surprisingly oblivious to very important matters. With 10 million votes in APC primaries. Tinubu is practically saying,he has at least 10 million votes in the next general election. First, this is psychological. He is saying, I have the numbers from party faithfuls so you opposition do not stand a chance. Turnout at elections have never been good. Even with the hype in last GE less than 50 percent of eligible voters voted. One would expect something similar next year. Second, some groundwork evidence in case of litigation. Tinubu's defence will confidently produce proof of at least 10 million votes for APC when they go to court. They don't need to get it from polling units or anything. With the right expert, they will be home and dry. That 10 million cannot be touched by the opposition no matter how much irregularities they claim. These are important if the opposition is serious. It is surprising they are not making noise about this. One would have thought many would realise elections are not simply emotional. Elections anywhere are not won by the guy with ideas or 'track records' alone. It's deep strategy and from where we are presently, Tinubu is way ahead. And if Peter Obi has not provided credible leadership for the opposition in the last four years, how can we trust him to lead Nigeria's complex governance? |
Don't induce anything madam. That baby should be allowed for another two weeks, except there is a problem before you consider interfering in the natural process. Would you rather a child requiring neonatal intensive care or a healthy bouncing baby? I am sure the latter. So, just be patient. Abeg |
Such a humble response. Nonetheless, he didn't address the main issue being that he inflated the the cost of the jet. That's what the issue was about. It was not like he was ADVERTISING the sale of the plane. It was leasing that he was advertising and he never mentioned a price for that. |
This lie you people keep peddling around. First, they didn't beat up Ajaero because he was in a political meeting. LP is the political arm of NLC -and was there when Oshiomole was President- there's nothing wrong with that. It happens in other climes. The government should not be allowed to get away with brutalising people. Moreso, the leader of a major pressure group in the country. Ajaero was not doing his thing, he was representing the NLC. Raising awareness against a government seeking reelection despite many infarctions against workers. What better time to get a government respond than when an election is at the corner. What would it cost the government to apologise and promise to investigate the incident? A government that leads with impunity is not worth defending. No matter how brilliant the argument FreeStuffsNG: |
We are past feeling bad for people in power. His claim was that it was due to IPPS bureaucracy. They will eventually pay them. Most civil servants use their personal vehicles. What is bad about him using his personal vehicle? After all, he is being paid for his job. But you see those workers in Imo, they have not been paid for months for no concrete reasons. kingsleefolli: |
The same way the airforce is in charge of the Presidential Jets is the same way the Navy would ordinarily be in charge of a presidential boat or yatch or ship. Moreso, what happened to the budget of the armed forces being classified? Maybe the Navy was in charge of getting the boat, it didn't change the fact that it was meant for use of the Presidency however, noble the reason is... P.S: The APC government lacks the moral right to claim that journalists are incompetent. They created that monster in build up to 2015. They should live with it |
Uncle's response is that, those preparing budget must describe the items using technical terms that will not readily draw attention |
atiku4President:Everything is wrong with buying a Presidentiall yatch. It's not enough that they misrule, we have to fund their luxuries too? What's more, they keep telling us to endure the troubles we are facing but they're not willing to even do away with the fleecing of the treasury |
PHAYOL81:Maybe we should all not be afraid of that conversation. The rhetoric that a Muslim bearing weapon in the USA like this, does it in hope for martyrdom is a plausible explanation that has not been refuted by hard facts. It is not enough to say we are a religion of peace. Countries led by Islamic law sponsor millitant groups to cause several devastation, in principle it shows there is an institutional support for terror I don't think we can blame the American's descriptives. 911 is not an event you rise from. Their descriptives is their problem. Our own descriptives should be ours. After all, it is their language and they can do whatever with it. |
LagosG:What stops us from giving our own narratives? |
After the police has said they were attempts by criminals to blackmail (the thieves) |
From the comments, I hope you have learned a thing or two Hemeenworth: |
Forgetting surgical materials when a surgery is done in a fairly good center is very rare and is unlikely the case here. What lawyer is calling cotton wool on MRI is likely an abcess. No qualified radiologist will say he saw cotton wool definitely on MRI. Because the petition was poorly worded and clearly doesn't have an input of a qualified personnel and perhaps reports of an autopsy, all it needs is a good defence and the doctors are home and dry. All these blood and stool gushing out is for Nollywood. The summation is that there is more to the case than this report has shown. The appendix ruptured and the surgeons understandably didn't see it coupled with operative field challenge due to her abundant adipose tissue. The development of the abscess clearly began after discharge from the hospital, something not unusual. Patient likely died from complications of Septis. A consequence of delay in removing the appendix following advice from the first person who saw, who most likely didn't attend medical school or a class on appendix to say 'appendix was not mature' |
Suddenly, Tinubu is a victim of his own playbook? When they were roasting Jonathan, where was Mr. Ajayi |
When did they remove Ariwoola as CJN? |
For the umpteenth time. Journalism must be responsible. Most people will read this and conclude that the leaders of the world are simply irresponsible. When the people loose faith in their leaders, they consider terrible alternatives. While I am not a defender of world leaders, this news item is simply irresponsible. Where and what are the proofs for such claims as insinuated? Very unprofessional. The cook up something and just dump it there for clouts. I hope someone takes them up on this sha |
Unfortunately, even 'credible' news sources publish such news giving the fable life and coverage. Approximately 10 such stories have hit front page on Nairaland. I hope a bit outlet reiterate OPs statement so we can trash this Mena ASAP |
TONYE001:They won't listen Bros, Just ignore him |
They have started o, talking like intelligentsia... Talk is cheap. We are looking out for prompt and good results |
