Recently, the governor of Osun state sacked resident doctors because 'they had spent more than six years' at the LAUTECH teaching hospital Osogbo. The thing is I had a different idea of what residency is all about but based on the development, I'm confused. Someone should explain residency in relation to medicine in Nigeria. Is residency a job? If it is a job, is it temporary? Are residents, doctors? What are prospects of residency in Nigeria? |

isnovic: By January 27th 2015, GEJ has already delivered on all his promises.
He never told us he was going to make Naira equal to Dollars. He never told us he will get powers up to 40,000MW: neither did he trivialized the enormity of the issues of power unlike some who said they see no reason why power cannot be increased or steadied in 6 months. Meanwhile 1 year down the line, they have not scratched an increase in power generation and neither have they improved transmission of power supply.
Forex in GEJ 6 year tenure was constant except for the election year, which was quite normal given our brand of politics (cash politics and stomach infrastructure).
However today I learnt a new word perfected by the Govt. economic Terrorism. A term that describe our just too recent experience where some people were just too large that there action and inactions were too loud that they determine the value of Naira, for which we are now hostage economically.
There were hardly more than 2 times we had to queue up at the filling station at GEJs time: Now my wife, I and the Kids queue at the filling station from 430am just to wet our car tanks talk less of buying for your generator, as you now have to drag your generators to the filling station to get it filled up.
If not for the sycophants and the saboteurs from the North who were hell bent on ruling the country, causing him the many problems he dealt with in his tenure plus his greed for second term, non-firmness and free-spirited nature...some of his many character flaws I must add, he simply would have passed as the best President Nigerian had if results were anything to go by.
Tangible economic result and policy consistency that is, and not this propaganda type govt. A Govt. for the social media, and by the media. collect as much kunu as you want... It's on me. |

Premarital sex is a sin. God commanded that an adulterer or adultress should be stoned to death. However we learnt in the new testament that fornicators won't see heaven. Therefore the Church should be able to instill this teaching and discipline those who are guilty... It's wrong to make sexuality pass for immorality. Btw did they force u to marry in Church? |

yommys01: I got married on Saturday 20th of February 2016. We were in an hotel till Monday, wanted us to stay longer but she refused saying she wants to go home ( that used to be my house).
Ever since we got home yesterday ( Monday), she has been crying. Called her mom, she prayed for her, my mom called her too and prayed for her.
She stopped crying for a while, we woke up with another round of crying this morning.
This is breaking my heart. I hate to cry as it often leads me to depression now I am close to tears myself.
I don't know if I have done something wrong or what to do. It is hurting as she cries.
When we were dating, she finds it difficult without her family for long " oh, I am already missing my dad, I am already missing my siblings" could this be the reason?
One day she came to mine from home as we have Dr appointment early and she lives in another state, she got to mine and 1 hour later she wanted to go home. "I am missing my dad sha" which got me annoyed then.
Could it be that the crying now is linked? She is 25 and I am 30 and we spent quite some time together before marriage. The fact we used to be together for so long makes it more confusing. This is a house she has always been in why the crying now?
It is hurting me. Badly and I am confused.
What do I do? bros u're married. Two, why is she crying? It seems like u are hiding something here |

For example, if she says, that TSA amount is not up to N2.2 trillion, so what is the actual figure? Until you tell nigeria the actual figure and your source, then in my own opinion I she have committed thesame crime she accused the Govt of doing. Secondly, I am left with no choice to say she has been paid to write this nonsense. he pain am |

ihatesycophant: I asked him just simple question. How many people can also fly in a cheapest flight? An advocate of common sense, should go on public bus to show he mean a business and also give his luxury cars for public transportation. Many of his followers have not gotten to airport tarmac in their life, let alone entering any cheapest class of plane. Ben is over-rating his capacity to put himself on the plate of ordinary people. If he so love people the way he profess, his pop corn should be sold at the normal rate they're selling it in the public and make his cinema gallery ticket affordable for the ordinary people. He can't continue to rob Peter to pay Paul and thinking he's talking sense. to say I'm disappointed is the least. This guy is not asking Buhari to enter keke now. He's saying okay o instead of Buhari having a fleet of Planes and choppers, making use of chartering or making use of commercial plane is cheaper. Instead of importing food for aso rock o, buy from local farmers and patronise indigenous food companies who will sell it cheaper and it'll also encourage the citizens to buy made in Naija goods that will help the sick economy... So I'm disappointed because u decided to attack the messenger instead of the message...in Woli's voice, gba commonsense lórúko JÉSÙ! |

Politics › Re: Jonathan Government Created TSA, But Couldn’t Impose It – Buhari by olakan22: 8:36am On Feb 06, 2016 |
lolaxavier: President Muhammadu Buhari has disclosed that the Treasury Single Account, TSA, was an initiative of the Goodluck Jonathan administration, but the immediate past government could not enforce it.
Buhari, who disclosed this during an interactive session with Nigerians living in the United Kingdom on the sidelines of the Supporting Syria Conference in London, stated that his administration had been able to block leakages and save N2. 2trn using the same TSA.
According to him, “When we discovered that we were already in trouble, we tried to enforce the TSA. This government did not initiate it, it was the previous government, but it was so unpopular to the previous government.
“For its own reasons, it couldn’t impose it, but when we came and we found out that we were broke, we saw that this is the way to do it.
“We discovered that the NNPC had more than 45 accounts, the ministry of defence and the military had more than 70 accounts; tell me which of the accounts to trace every year.
“So we enforced TSA, we said there must be TSA, and let me tell you by the end of December coming to January this year, last month, we mopped up more than N2.2 trillion.”
