SportsOsimhen Opens Up On Lasting Pain From Career-threatening Face Fracture by OlaleyeCast(op): 5:02pm On Nov 24, 2025
Nigerian striker, Victor Osimhen has opened up about the lingering effects of the frightening facial injury he suffered during his spell at Napoli, describing the ordeal as something he will never forget.

Victor Osimhen arrived in Italy with high expectations after sealing a multi-million euro move from Lille. But instead of a smooth rise, his first year was filled with injuries that slowed his momentum.

The moment that shook his career came the following season in a league match at the San Siro.

During Napoli’s 3-2 loss to Inter Milan, Osimhen went up for an aerial ball with Milan Skriniar. Their collision was brutal. His jaw struck the defender’s head, leaving him with a concussion and briefly unconscious before he was taken off the pitch.

Further scans revealed a terrifying reality. His left eye had slipped out of its socket, his jaw was broken and several bones in his face were shattered.

PoliticsPeter Obi's Brutal Response As Nnamdi Kanu Is Thrown Into Notorious Prison by OlaleyeCast(op): 2:22pm On Nov 24, 2025
The Labour Party (LP) 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has broken silence on the life imprisonment handed to the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu.

Kanu was on Thursday sentenced to life imprisonment by the Federal High Court in Abuja after Justice James Omotosho found him guilty on all seven counts of terrorism and related offences.

While delivering judgment, Justice Omotosho ruled that Kanu must be kept in a “protected custodial centre” and declared the Kuje Correctional Centre unsuitable due to previous prison breaks and heightened security risks.

In a statement via his 𝕏 handle on Saturday, Peter Obi stated that Kanu‘s conviction is coming at a time when Nigeria is facing severe economic hardship, insecurity, and the consequences of poor governance.

The former Governors of Anambra state said he had always maintained that Nnamdi Kanu should never have been arrested, stressing that he consistently argued for dialogue, constructive engagement, and inclusive governance as the path to lasting peace.

SportsLiverpool's BIG Mistake Against Nottingham Forest by OlaleyeCast(op): 4:31pm On Nov 21, 2025
Liverpool are set to host Nottingham Forest in the 12th round of the Premier League, but manager Arne Slot has confirmed the team will be dealing with several injury issues ahead of the match.

“Robertson will be with us, and Alisson has trained both last week and this week, so if everything goes well today, he can also play. After the international break, we have indeed encountered some problems,” Arne Slot said during a pre-match press briefing.

The manager revealed that Conor Bradley and Wirtz will be unavailable due to muscle injuries. “Neither Conor Bradley nor Wirtz will be available, which is far from ideal. They both have muscle problems. I don’t think Conor will play in the next 22 days unless a miracle happens; he can only return at the end of the year,” he said.

Arne Slot added that Wirtz’s injury might not be as serious, but Frimpong will also be sidelined for the next few weeks. He said, “Wirtz’s situation may not be as serious, Frimpong will be out for the same length of time and unavailable for the next few weeks, and Szoboszlai has been outstanding in all positions.”

Senator representing Delta North, Ned Nwoko, has released a statement claiming the authenticity of circulating medical reports concerning his wife, actress Regina Daniels, which allege substance abuse.

The statement posted on the Senator’s Instagram page on Saturday, and signed by his Communication Team lead, was to address the controversy that erupted after one of the implicated hospitals previously denied issuing the document.

Serenity Royale Hospital in Abuja denied an alleged medical report claiming that actress Daniels has been battling severe substance abuse.

The viral report, signed by the hospital’s Managing Director and Head of Clinical Services, Adekunle Adesina, purportedly stated that Daniels was diagnosed with a substance use disorder and placed on a home-based detox programme starting September 24, 2025.

PoliticsThe 'Many Wives' Of Lt. AM Yerima Who Stood Up To Wike by OlaleyeCast(op): 4:01pm On Nov 14, 2025
The 'many wives' of soldier who stood up to Wike

Ever since Lt. AM Yerima stood up to Mr Nyesom Wike, Minister of Federal Capital Territory and prevented him from accessing a disputed plot of land in Abuja on Tuesday, November 11, he has become a celebrity.

He has also inspired a social media frenzy and divided public opinion. While many Nigerians praise him for his demeanour and the calm composure he maintained throughout the encounter with the Minister, others vilify him for disrespecting a public officer who is also a serving minister.

Still, the young Nigerian soldier has inspired not just debates but also many AI-generated photos and videos. Many Nigerian ladies are currently crushing on him not just for the courage and bravery he displayed but also for his striking handsomeness.

And they have photoshopped images showing them either being proposed to by the young military officer or taking beautiful photos with him.

Here are some of the photoshopped images showing the ladies with Yerima.

Sports2026 WCQ Playoffs: All Goals & HIGHLIGHTS OF Nigeria Vs Gabon 4 -1 by OlaleyeCast(op): 5:20am On Nov 14, 2025
Victor Osimhen scored twice as the Super Eagles sealed an emphatic 4-1 victory over the Panthers of Gabon in extra time to advance to the next playoff stage of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers on Thursday at Stade Mohammed V in Rabat, Morocco.

After a goalless first half, Akor Adams broke the deadlock early in the second half, capitalising on a player’s error to put Nigeria ahead.

Gabon, however, equalised four minutes before the end of the match, forcing the game into extra time.

Chidera Ejuke restored Nigeria’s lead with a composed finish before Osimhen extended the advantage, netting twice to put the result beyond doubt.

The Super Eagles’ solid defensive display, led by Benjamin Frederick and Calvin Bassey, ensured Gabon’s late efforts came to nothing.

The win moves Nigeria closer to securing a spot at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with the final playoff round set to determine their qualification status.

SportsWCQ Playoffs: Three Battles For Victor Osimhen As Super Eagles Clash With Gabon by OlaleyeCast(op): 4:21pm On Nov 13, 2025
As the CAF 2026 FIFA World Cup playoffs approach in Morocco, the Super Eagles of Nigeria stands at a crossroads, and the weight of expectation falls squarely on the shoulders of one man, Victor Osimhen.

Since bursting onto the scene in 2017, Victor Osimhen has carried both the burden and the brilliance of Nigerian football. He is not just another forward; he is the heartbeat of the team.

His impact is written in hard numbers: Nigeria has failed to win any of the five games he missed during the current World Cup qualifying campaign, but in the five he started, he scored six goals and provided an assist.

When he was injured against Rwanda, confidence seemed to evaporate from the fans. That 1-1 draw with South Africa that followed felt like a warning sign, a reminder of what happens when their talisman is not there.

Former Super Eagles skipper, John Mikel Obi, has said the current squad could make the mistake of underrating Gabon, ahead of their 2026 World Cup playoff clash.

Nigeria will take on the Panthers on Thursday in the first semi-final for the African zone.

Eric Chelle’s men could face either Cameroon or DR Congo for the single slot from the continent if they beat Gabon.

“Go into that game and play like this is the last game you will ever play in your life,” Mikel Obi said.

“Win that game and then we can think about either Cameroon or someone else.
