Isaac Fayose has berated his older brother cum former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, over claims that the Oyo State Government and Governor Seyi Makinde orchestrated the recent abduction of 46 pupils and teachers in Oyo State to blackmail President Bola Tinubu.

Fayose made the allegation on Monday while speaking during an interview on Channels Television.

Fayose questioned the Oyo State Government’s handling of the crisis, arguing that state governors receive security votes and should bear primary responsibility for local security rather than immediately shifting blame to the federal government.

Responding to his brother, Isaac Fayose, in a video via his social media page, expressed his deep disappointment over the controversial remark.

Isaac faulted his brother’s stance, questioning why he failed to make similar assumptions about widespread kidnappings occurring in All Progressives Congress (APC)-led states such as Borno, Niger, and Kwara.

According to Isaac, abductions have recently occurred even within their home state of Ekiti, and Ayodele did not make a similar assumption about the State Governor, Biodun Oyebaji.

Isaac Fayose further stated that his older brother should remain silent if he has no constructive contributions to the escalating insecurity across the country.

Social media critic, Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has responded to a legal threat from the Presidency over a viral doctored video allegedly containing fake audio of President Bola Tinubu.

The Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, had accused VDM of spreading false content on social media.

Onanuga described the circulation of the audio as an abuse of social media and said VDM should face the law.

Reacting to the viral video, Onanuga wrote that the social media influencer should be held accountable for allegedly circulating fake audio attributed to the President.

Responding, VDM said he would not defend the allegations.

He said he was ready for any legal action and would even return earlier than planned to face the matter.

“I will not defend the allegations. If I respond, let God punish me. I want to face that law. I will even book a flight to come earlier than I planned. I want to see what you people can do,” he said.

The Presidency on Wednesday vowed to prosecute Nigerian social media critic, Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as Verydarkman, VDM, for allegedly sharing fake audio of President Bola Tinubu.

A post by an X user, @Pious_minister showed that an AI generated audio of the President was played in VDM’s video.

The audio captured Tinubu’s voice, saying that the insecurity in Nigeria would continue because Nigerians didn’t vote for him in 2023.

Reacting, Tinubu’s media aide, Bayo Onanuga in a post on his official X handle, said VDM would be made to face the full weight of the law.

He wrote, “This VDM needs to face the weight of the law for being the conveyor and disseminator of a fake audio of President Tinubu.

“This is a clear case of an egregious abuse of the social media platform”.

The Chief of Staff to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Femi Gbajabiamila, has narrated how he almost lost his job during the political crisis in Lagos State that led to the impeachment of the State Assembly Speaker, Mudashiru Obasa.

Gbajabiamila, a former Speaker of the House of Representatives, made this known during a political meeting.

Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde on Thursday officially declared his intention to run in the 2027 presidential race.

He made the declaration at a mega rally held at the historic Mapo Hall in Ibadan, the state capital, where he unveiled grand alliance between the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the Allied Peoples Movement (APM).

Makinde announced his the alliance under what he called “Reset Nigeria Movement.”

He declared “Therefore, today, I Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde, FNSE, announce my candidacy for the position of the President of Federal Republic of Nigeria.”

He explained that the alliance was borne out of alleged plot to foist one party system on Nigeria.

Charles Omole, the author of From Soldier to Statesman: The Legacy of Muhammadu Buhari, has revealed that there are no fewer than five cabals allegedly influencing the administration of President Bola Tinubu.

In an interview on State Affairs, a podcast hosted by Edmund Obilo, the author listed the cabals as including the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila’s group.

Controversial Nigerian singer, Speed Darlington, has faulted President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid following the economic situation of the country.

The Senate was thrown into disorder on Wednesday for over 15 minutes following a heated exchange between Senate President Godswill Akpabio and Senator Adams Oshiomhole over the interpretation of amended Standing Rules.

The disruption began after Akpabio commenced the reading of the Votes and Proceedings of Tuesday’s sitting when Oshiomhole, APC, Edo North, raised a point of order. The Senate President ruled him out of order, citing the 2023 Standing Rules, which prohibit points of order during that stage of proceedings.

Oshiomhole persisted, prompting Akpabio to call on former Chief Whip, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, to clarify the rules.

Kalu supported the Senate President’s position, stating that points of order were not permitted at that time.

Despite repeated warnings, Oshiomhole continued, leading Chief Whip Senator Tahir Monguno to caution that disciplinary powers could be invoked if the disruption persisted.

Akpabio said, “We should not just go home, buy forms and come here without knowing the rules.”

Senate President Godswill Akpabio has said that he thinks the African Democratic Congress, ADC, is dead.

Akpabio made the comment during plenary on Tuesday when he read a letter announcing the defection of Abia South senator, Enyinnaya Abaribe.

Abaribe defected from the African Democratic Congress, ADC, to the Labour Party.

It will be recalled that two former presidential candidates, Peter Obi and Rabi’u Kwankwaso, on Sunday dumped the ADC for the Nigerian Democratic Congress, NDC.

Reacting to the defection, Akpabio said, “I think ADC is dead.

“How many times are you defecting? A month? Three times? But let us compile all the list so it doesn’t look like a daily ritual.

“Compile the names of those defecting from all the political parties and their party destinations. If you are moving from ADC, you write all of you. If you are entering NDC, you write all of you. If you are going to Accord, you write as well.”

The move by a member of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Desmond Elliot, to secure a 4th term has suffered a setback.

Multiple Presidency sources disclosed that President Bola Tinubu is said to have, at different times, rebuffed separate appeals from powerful individuals sent to him.

It was further gathered that pleas for the President to override the decision of Surulere APC stakeholders, who had thrown their weight behind the immediate past Lagos Special Adviser on Housing, Barakat Odunuga-Bakare, as his replacement, part of a decision to encourage women and gender inclusion, fell on deaf ears.

Sources disclosed that at various points, Elliot reportedly dispatched a retired General, his wife, a Senator; a current serving Minister and an ally of the President, at different times to “make his case at the Villa.”

Each of them reportedly failed to get Tinubu’s nod for Elliot’s 4th term bid as the President insisted on respect for internal democracy.

In each of the separate engagements, it was gathered that “Tinubu’s position did not waver.”

Former lawmaker, Shehu Sani, has taunted leaders of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, and their supporters who are currently attacking Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso for dumping the party.

Obi and Kwankwaso, who were presidential candidates in the 2023 election, have decided to quit their membership of the ADC ahead of the next elections.

The move, however, did not sit well with some members of the party especially supporters of former vice president, Atiku Abubakar.

Atiku’s supporters have been verbally attacking Obi, Kwankwaso and their supporters following their decision to consider aligning with another party.

Reacting, Shehu Sani in a post on his Facebook page, claimed that the two political gladiators saw the move of some top leaders in ADC and decided to leave.

He wrote, “Marriage is not by force. Most of the people attacking peter and Kwankwaso are ADC people who wanted to use them for power rituals.

Mrs Deborah Mbara, the lady who Blessing CEO allegedly doctored her cancer report, has finally broken her silence.

This is coming a few hours after the Nigerian Medical Association, NMA, called for the arrest of Blessing, a controversial relationship expert for altering the medical report of a cancer patient.

Blessing CEO had a few days ago shared a medical report to back up her stage 4 breast cancer claim as she solicited financial support from the public.

The report was allegedly from Xinus Medical Diagnostics and signed by Dr. O.A. Odigwe, a consultant pathologist.

While countering Blessing’s claim, Xinus Medical Diagnostics accused her of altering the report, noting that the original report was issued to Deborah Mbara in May 2025.

He disclosed that Funke Akindele’s movie Behind the Scenes crossed the billion-naira mark at the box office, but the producer received less than half of the revenue after cinemas and distributors took their share.

According to him, while the public celebrates impressive figures, the actual money that goes to the producer is far smaller because exhibitors and middlemen claim a large portion.

Olaiya Igwe also pointed to Femi Adebayo’s Jagun Jagun, saying millions were spent on the production, but no profit was made after deductions by cinemas.

He emphasised that this has been a long-standing challenge, as producers continue to struggle despite record-breaking grosses.

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to urgently confirm the authenticity of a leaked memo suggesting plans for a nationwide voter revalidation exercise.

In a statement signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, the party warned that if true, the move would be a “recipe for chaos” capable of disenfranchising millions of Nigerians ahead of the elections.

The ADC argued that requiring already registered voters to revalidate their details less than ten months to the polls would suppress turnout, deepen voter apathy, and unfairly exclude those unable to travel, adding that the only likely beneficiary of such confusion is the ruling party.

The party also questioned why such a major exercise is emerging through a leak just days to its proposed commencement.

It cautioned INEC against actions that could be perceived as aiding electoral manipulation, urging the commission to abandon the plan and reassure Nigerians of its commitment to a credible and inclusive electoral process.
