I have seen situations where some 'internet farmers' have cleared each acre for N30,000 using the same labourers that I use at N800 per alapin.

Even the labourers laugh at them...in my presence. They jocularly tell me they cant come to work tomorrow because there is a new mumu in town. Someone paid N8000 per plot to clear farm land.!!! What will he be planting? Gold?

Denn, if you start without correct information and good research, no way my brother, you will fall victim of such a mess. Talking from experience.How to handle labour in your locality is a must aquired knowledge. When i started I used to listen to a friend in the village where my farm is located........ not knowing that he has no farm. He was in charge of bargain with the labourers although in my presence. He took no hidden commission......sincerely speaking. Before I know it, i have being extorted. Thank God it was a few plots.

Dear viewers, different sections of agriculture have different practice. Difference pracrice implies different implements or tools. From this perspective, safety tips will differ largely. The bottom line is this. Safety tips or information of every section must be in written. This will help alot.

Farming has come into exsistence as far back as human emergence on the planet called earth. It will remain in exsistence when we all depart ( I pray we shall not die young). The most important thing is that we leave long to impact the sector and promote its quality.
It has become obvious that this topic is beyond my scope alone. I thereby implore all practical farmers, agric service providers, value chain members and other stakeholders to contribute to this thread and make agribusiness a hazard-free practice.
Stay following as we unriddle the puzzle

There are alot of innovations being used for setting a good nursery. My nursery is a simple local one whereby a raised bed of about 1m × 2m is used. We hand-pick all forms of rubbles. we make a loose layer of bed free of impurity. The seeds were evenly spread on it, covered lightly with sand followed by palm fronds. Then we watered it generously.

Dont fail yourself. Start from success point. Buy promising suckers.......... happy farming

STEP 1:
Choose the right variety of tomato you like to grow. Get viable seeds of your choice from good source. Avoid failure before starting. Bad seeds give no good result.
I select F1 Cobra. I got that of Technisem. Only 1g was bought. .......expecting around 250 seeds from it.

@ all, I throw a big" thank you". am really happy. I opened this thread to call on intending farmers of tomato to join me on my learning trip. I am not a guru in growing this crop. With the way you guys see this thread, it has become a challenge. Anyway.. ..... God is by my side always.
