One more thing
I’m having an issue with statement of account
My dad was unable to build his account for me due to some expenses he had to incur

Can anyone advice me on what I can do
If there’s any alternative
And I might need to put in my application by March cos the school said I need to be in Winnipeg before mid August

Hi guys

I just got an admission for fall 2022 in university of Manitoba (M.A Economics)
But they gave some conditions I don’t understand
They said I must submit my official transcript and I understand that
And then they said I must submit my degree certificate with a letter from the registrar attesting and must come in a sealed and stamped envelope
What I don’t get is : are they saying my school should send my certificate along with my transcript
Cos it does not make sense for my certificate to be sent.

Good evening, from my research I discovered this two institutions for winter intake.

Thompson Rivers University (Master in Environmental Economics and Management).

Carleton University (Master of Arts: Economics).

With 3.6 CGPA in Economics, is there chances of gaining admission?

N:B- University of Manitoba admission wasn’t successful and according to them, it was because of competition.

Please I’d appreciate your feedback. Thanks
For Manitoba, what stream did you apply for?
Economics and econometrics or economics and society?
You can check Concordia university
But you have to be fast.

Hi guys

I got a mail from university of Manitoba that economics department recommended me for admission. But the faculty of graduate studies wants me to submit my degree certificate and I’ve contacted my school and they said it’s not ready.
Before the whole recommendation for admission and all, I uploaded my statement of result but it seems they don’t want it.

What do you suggest I do cos I have a deadline to submit.

My school is ready to write a letter attesting that certificate is not ready. but I don’t think they want that
This is the letter on the portal

They’ll accept a letter of degree conferral written by your school on official letterhead and duly stamped.
Will the letter include my school explaining why there is a delay in producing the certificate

The details of the admission and funding should be in the email sent to you. If funding isn't included, you can send an email to the admissions team or your department for funding details. But I believe the details should be in the email you received.
Graduate studies have not sent the admission letter yet
They only sent a letter saying they’re pleased to inform me that economics department recommended me for admission and the decision has been made but they want me to upload an extra document before they send the main admission something

Heyy guys

I just got a mail from University of Manitoba’s graduate office that they’re pleased to inform me that economics department recommended me for admission.

Does that mean I’ve been admitted?

And then I finished with a 4.44 CGPA.

When they send the admission letter, is it possible the admission comes with funding?

Hoping to receive a response soon

Thank you guys

Hi guys

Please I need someone’s opinion

I’m applying for M.A Economics in university of Manitoba.
My area of interest is international finance and that’s what I selected in the application portal.
There is only one professor in that field ( international finance)
Can it have any form of bad effect on my admission and all

Tho I have 4.44 CGPA and some other good stuffs

Your result is competitive for any school in Canada. Considering your desired program will likely be a research masters, below rules will help you.

1. No supervisor, no application. You don't determine your schools before hand. Wherever you get supervisors are your preferred schools.

2. Apply to 3-5 schools where you get supervisors. No supervisor or school can guarantee your admission. You will increase your chances by applying to more than one schools.

3. Check each department website and target supervisors in schools that offer funding. Your GPA will likely get you a full funding if you do things right. A full scholarship will save you a lot of stress when applying for a student visa.

I have to tell you though that the admission process require some time, experience and luck. You came a bit late because September 2022 deadline are almost here. Most first timers are usually not sure if they really want Canada nor put in the effort required. All the best.
Actually I’ve submitted an application for M.A Economics in Concordia university since October but I’ve not gotten a response yet
But it’s because of the issue with my transcript
My school made some mistakes on my transcript then they reached out to me saying they noticed some discrepancies and I should tell crescent university to send my official transcript before they assess my application and they’ve sent that since December 1, But no response from them yet

So I’m scared they’ll not accept me

But now I’ll apply to other schools including university of Manitoba

Hello Olanrae,

If the updated official transcript is received directly from your school and verified to be legitimate, there will be no issue for the DLI to consider you for admission if you meet the admission requirements.

If this falls out of the circle, you may risk a ban to that DLI and other DLIs they share academic information with.

Best of Luck
Wow

It is Legitimate sha
I’m just scared sha
Because it’s Crescent university
That school can make another mistake in the transcript they sent
Shey you feel me

But
Thank you

Hi everyone

I want to share what is going on with my admission
My school made mistakes on my transcript
So I uploaded without noticing
The school reached out saying they noticed the year on my 400L is 2017/2018 instead of 2019/2020, So they wanted me to upload a new one. So I used that opportunity to go through the transcript.
I saw they inputed the wrong grades too
But the school no fit know that one
So I told crescent to correct the year for 400L and also correct the grades. I sha uploaded a new one
Now the school reached out saying they noticed some discrepancies such as change of grades by comparing my old transcript with the new one i uploaded.
They sent a mail saying they need my official transcript sent to them by my school.
They have sha sent it

N.B: I finished with a CGPA of 4.44 in Economics and I’m applying to Concordia university for M.A economics.

Do you guys think I still have a chance with this whole transcript issue
