Jobs/VacanciesRe: The Gross Abuse Of Human Resource In Nigeria by Olanre05(f): 9:55am On Sep 20, 2025
Stayupup:
How I was asked to create a 100-page book for N5000.

It's heavily painful on me before I decided to do this. Let me go straight to the point.

So I saw the job vacancy online and decided to apply as I was without a job, cash-trapped, hungry and stranded at the time. After my interest was made known, the person sent 6 different screen-recorded materials for me to watch as training. Each lasts between 20-30minutes (burning of mobile data).
Then when I was done with the videos, he sent me a topic to start working.
Guess what?
I started but didn't really understand what was involved.
As I was creating the book, I got to 55 pages while I still had more to go.
So before I could get to the end, it was 115 pages.
This took me over a week to craft.
Also, I was expected to do thorough designing, editing and formatting on the book.
What the person expects me to do in details before the book is found satisfactory:
1. Take prompts to an AI tool and generate the book from part to part, section to section and copy same to another work environment after each generation.
2. Edit and format the texts to meet requirement
3. Log on to another AI tool to generate images pertaining to the content of the book.
4. Take the images from the tool you generated it from to another AI tool to resize, crop, compress and then export and paste where necessary in the book. Meanwhile, each page of the book required 3-4 images and by the number of the book pages, totalling would require generating, resizing, cropping and compressing over 300-400 images using your mobile data and pasting them in different points where necessary.
Then design the cover page to meet the standard.
All for N5k.
The cost of mobile data alone is almost half of that amount.
And then you spend a week or so to do the work and earn N5k.
Even ordinary typing in a computer centre is now N300/page wth no designs or heavy formatting.

Isn't this the height of abuse of human resource going on in Nigeria?
I'm pained because unemployment led me to this sad situation. Sad is an understatement.
Lastly, please if you have a remote job with better pay, I'm the best fit for you.
I have a laptop and smartphone.
Hey Poster, can you work in a call centre?
Please note, it's not a remote job.

Oh God no... I was just saying I concur with every word you said, but in a comical cartoon way like when they ask someone his own opinion and he just says 'yes, what she said', that's my opinion😏

I was just being a clown ma. Good evening.
Lol... now I get. Thank you.
Good evening. Bet your day went well.

[quote author=DaGC post=135624058]Despite religious teachings, courtship usually is how to know if partners are compatible. He learnt the hard way. 18 months is kinda short for a marriage though, hopefully they didn't bring a kid into a now broken home during that period.

Better luck to them in their future

Forget religious teachings for a moment—courtship is incredibly important. It's the period where you truly get to know each other: your likes and dislikes, whether you can live together peacefully, and how well you can handle each other's flaws. During courtship, disagreements are bound to happen, and it's through these moments that you learn if your partner is forgiving, kind, or has habits you can’t tolerate. Simply spending weekends together isn’t enough to understand one another deeply. Marriage is a mix of sweetness and challenges.

Love800:
When you get married, act like you are still single. That is the maths. Travel away with your emotions while still inside marriage. It will help the man and woman to grow freely without any marital obstacle. Nevertheless, as the man, try and respond to the necessary bills in the home
He should keep paying the necessary bills while the wife saves hers right.

You are right on this. That act of turning pastors to God whom should be served annoys me a lot.

This is usually common amongst uneducated worshippers.

I just hope the girl is alright.
We have the educated worshippers too, who also worship their Pastors.Call them Daddy and Their wife Mummy. But they can’t respect their husbands and wife’s at home. Sick Mentality!!!!

The guy came back for his child and would later dump her. She is not making any sense to me. Stick with the guy who stood by you. The US guy might not take you abroad. Don’t forget he could have someone there already.

I NEED YOUR ADVICE O.

On Valentine’s Day, my boyfriend got me an expensive gift. I was so shocked because the price of the package was around 600k

I only got him a pair of singlet and boxers with a free pen attached. Lol. I really felt bad for him, that is why I want to make it up to him.

I stumbled on a nairaland vendor who sells amazing shirt. I picked 3 shirts which he sold for 18k. The problem here is, I don’t know which shirt to go with because they all look really good. Please guys, I took a screenshot of my best four, please pick the best three for me o.

Does he wear natives, why don’t you make two natives for him with different colors of materials and style.
I don’t trust buying anything on NL.

Here is a link to the nairaland vendor. https://www.nairaland.com/8025929/luxury-vintage-shirts-24-hrs

TV/MoviesRe: What I Think After Watching "A Tribe Called Judah" by Olanre05(f): 6:43pm On Jan 21, 2024
Printme:
The movie was cool. A Nollywood movie I actually enjoyed in a long while.

At the same time, I think it reflects on a very key aspect of life that most people never give much thoughts to.

That is, a male child will always need their father.

Regardless of how much a woman will love the male child, they will always need their father to be good influences in the society.

She gave birth to five children and all their fathers were absent. It's a lesson for women. Once you spoil your life, men will continue to chop and go.

No man will ever want to settle and train another man's child.

It doesn't matter how much you try to manipulate them with the "it's a mistake" or "a real man ought to take care of another man's child"

It won't work. They will just chop you and go and probably add their own seeds since you want to be unfortunate that way.

Also, statistics shows that male children raised by single mothers tends to be the "bad eggs" in the society.

And we all saw that in the movie. Not even one of the children turned out fine for the society. Instead, they were filled with that selfish love that put only their needs into consideration and never the needs of others.

And that's the kind of love women can give their children. Only a father's disciplinary love tells the child that other's needs are important.

It is the father that seeks to make sure the male child, no matter how strong he is, he never used that strength for his own benefits alone.

If she had thought the children to protect others and not just herself, they probably would have turned out fine.

Overall, I think the movie was entertaining but the lessons were still there except you choose to ignore it.
Your write up says it all, but I disagree to the
to the part of you saying that. ‘Male children raised by Single mothers tend to be bad eggs’.
I have seen male children raised by single mothers during very well and making their mothers proud, also I have seen male children raised with both parents badly behaved. Hence , single and co-parenting isn’t easy we all need Grace to raise God fearing children.

bro, I’d completely disagree with all your points as mentioned. I think Civil engineers will be responsible for the construction or suitability of storage facilities for confiscated drugs pending judicial trial for said illicit drugs. I stand to be corrected though.
We are all learning. He can also add your writeup to whatever he has gotten. No input is wasted. You also have a point. I’m a lady.

Public enlightenment: programs in the abuse of drugs should be embarked upon by government to educate parent and youths in the consequences through billboards, posters, handbills and mass media. The fight against of hard and fake drugs should be continued and intensified. Relate this to the definition of civil engineering. You will get the answer to your question.
Civil engineers conceive, design, build, supervise, operate, construct and maintain infrastructure projects and systems in the public and private sector, including roads, buildings, airports, tunnels, dams, bridges, and systems for water supply and sewage treatment

As a Civil Engineer, I will construct and supervise the infrastructure in projecting a very good system to address the adverse effect of drug abuse. By ensuring that a strong signal is mounted across all geophysical areas. Passing a message to the people about the adverse effect of the drugs on our mental health. I hope this helps as well.
