Pray for aviation workers. Pray for importers, pray for Nigerians, and finally pray for the world.
Politics › Re: Coronavirus: Why Buhari Won’t Address Nigerians -by Farooq A. Kperogi, Ph.d. by olaric(m): 6:27am On Mar 21, 2020
The most annoying thing is that his handlers keep living in denial. A colleague of mine who is a die-hard Buhari fan was strongly defending the president's refusal to address the nation.

Buhari's supporters are myopic and don't reason straight. It's not normal for his supporters to admit that they are wrong.

why cry more than the bereaved? he only expressed himself, tell me why someone will build a church , cram 10,000 seats in a 50*50sqm space and run 7 30minute services every Sunday if not for money.

yeah I get your feelings, but truth hurts.
Why crying more than those who are the direct recipients of the actions of pastors? Those who attend those churches are not complaining, it's you and your crew making all the noise.

Chai, I feel for pastors.
Offerings and tithe will reduce drastically this period which will hinder the church from moving forward and bringing down that gates of hell. grin
I pity people like you who only see things from only one perspective. Is everything all about money?

These guys just want to make sure their companies are running.

They aren't interested in the disease control just after their selfish interest.

In America even UK, they were told to stay at home and worship at home....Isolate yourselves.

Why can't these churches obey simple instructions for safety of the people.

Greed is real.
Fear rather than the coronavirus itself could be your undoing.
Politics › Re: Lagos Moves To Stop Church, Mosque Services by olaric(m): 4:44pm On Mar 18, 2020
SamuelOamen:
The Lagos State Government has stated it will request religious leaders to stop Friday (Juma’at) and Sunday church service.

Commissioner for Information, Gbenga Omotoso, stated this on Wednesday at a briefing.

He said the religious leaders will be advised to shut down services in the interest of the public.

He said this a few hours after Lagos recorded its seventh coronavirus case.

“We are all aware that the Federal Government asked the National Youth Service Corps to shut down orientation camps; yesterday (Tuesday) the Commissioner for Home Affairs said there will be a meeting with religious leaders today (Wednesday).

“It is going to be suggested to them to maybe stop Friday and Sunday services – wherever we have large gatherings.

“Going by the new development, I am sure they will be advised to shut down the services in the interest of the public and all of us. I am sure they are going to comply,” Omotosho said.

You should be advising your members to take precautionary steps towards the covid 19 just like the 'Holy Father' did. Stop giving your members vauge assurances when you yourself aren't all that immune to it.
I'm 100% sure Daddy Adeboye did not mention your name in the message, and surely there is no way to know if he's actually addressing his members. So let him be; he's not the cause of your problem.

Yea right, all Christian are special and snowflakes until the inevitable happen to them. Life is 100% logical, even your emotion no matter how difficult has pattern to it. Stop being myopic to the way the world works and use your brain to think at least for a sec. When you get shot appropriately you'll die unless you're rescue by medics, when you have cancer and HIV your immune system get detoriated, when you have Flu your system become weak and so and forth and no prayer or faith can save you from them. Bunch of dumbos who never for once lived.
The message is not for someone like you because you're shallow in your spiritual thinking.

We all are Christians but you don't just foolishly pray over something that requires you to use your IQ.
Your brain isn't just for decoration, there is a reason God gave you. Scientists are doing everything to come up with Vaccines and our Nigerian GOs are in their closets claiming to pray.
Take your prayers to where the patients are quarantined and we will take you seriously.
Apparently you didn't read the message on or listen to his message.

MelesZenawi:
Pentecostal churches are the problems of this country.

They have configured, subjugated and brain washed the minds of their followes and creating followership without proper God's word.

You can as well refer to them as CEO of their churches( Company) and chairman board of directors in the church company business.

They are many Redeem, winners, mountain of fire, Iginla, house on the rock, synagogue...etc

These churches has made christianity a laughing stock in eyes of men and other religions.

Until all these churches are abolished, they will continue to work on minds of people with their tactics.

A lost soul spotted; but your case is not beyond redemption.

Be positive but don't loose guard. This Covid-19 has not yet entered half time and Nigerian government is already claiming victory.
The Nigerian government is not claiming victory; they are just saying things the way they are at the moment. What they have said is based on facts available to them, and that has not stopped the screenings being done at the airports and other entry points. We are not letting down our guard; stop being a pessimist please. The coronavirus is not a death sentence, some Nigerians may have it as we speak; but that is just an assumption.

Poor and weak nations also do not have the infrastructure to detect as many people with the disease as others. Before you start calling grace of God reason the thing first.
I understand your logic; but exactly what is wrong with calling the grace of God? I'm just being positive that's all.

Politics › Re: Coronavirus: Lagos Has Broken The Circle Of Transmission - Health Commissioner by olaric(m): 9:38am On Mar 14, 2020
The Coronavirus could be described as a humbling disease since it has so far brought the rich and the highly influencial to their knees. Even Donald Trump is forced to swallow his word and pride.

The poor and weak nations are only being spared maybe for now because of the grace of God. For Nigeria, it's not just about being clever alone, grace is also involved.

Good thing is that it started from a super power nation before moving to other places; so the world has learned from the experience of others.

Since he can no longer visit his favourite locations ie UK, France, Italy, China and the likes, baba has decided to visit his forgotten people. The people of course would not entertain such hypocrisy; little wonder the people are attacking him and asking him to leave them alone. As usual, his mouthpiece is trying to save whatever is left of baba's reputation by trying to paint a different picture.
