You are still hanging on point and makes you more ignorant,Rubbles crashed because of market manipulations and a systematic approach to bring down the government of that country .Dont put me into trouble .The Nigerian naira is not stable because of so many factors ,we import refined oil ,and you need to bring in fuel ,pms,koresine,diesel,bitumen, fertilizers , HDP,LDP all bye products of Crude are all imported and you need to buy buy dollars to buy them.Now what about if you refine them locally from your crude what will happen,you will not purchase dollars any more because its available locally .so the pressure of buying dollars reduces. The higher the demand the higher the prices ,the lower the demand for the dollars,the lower the prices .so translate it to politicians at this time changing all their Naira to dollars with all the local consumption being imported .your shoes are imported,your ,panties are imported,your shirt ,so what is produced in your country.

This is a text book ,in Nigeria ,the reason for the dollar increasing is because of demand and supply the politicians are buying the money ,its easy to move it around and settle people easily.which investor is going to come to this jungle without electricity.forgot about that there are other destination, foreigners like this place because of the easy money, zero taxation and the corruption,they get away with everything they do here

True but would it solve the problem of regional autonomy? Nigerian states want to control their individual wealth without having to run to the Central government for some allocation. The major cause of ethnic crisis in Nigeria is mostly because the sovereignty of these states have been trampled upon by the central government. Which seems to be true..
I really don't see a parliamentary system solving that, though I feel its a whole lot better than our current system, but regional autonomy? True federalism?

Dont forget that the value of the Naira cant be done by fiat ,market forces determines the prices at which you can get it ,so many factors that are not in an economist text book apply in Nigeria .But the western world will not support a stronger Naira

The Canadian example ,the Australian example with a parliamentary system of government,only the fire brands will make it to the parliament if not you will short change your region or province.It will reduce cost and add value because the caliber of people that will go there will be in the same level of thinking ,the powers of the prime minister will not be so much . the powers will reside in the parliament which translates to the people of Nigeria.

In my opinion, if Nigeria won't divide into atleast 3 individual countries, I believe the USA Federalism system best suits a country like Nigeria, Nigeria is way too big to be under one central government..
Individual states that can't survive on their own should be scrapped and absorbed by other states.

Federalism is good but the presidential system of government is very bad for developing economies including Nigeria
