Udemzy05:Tinubu vs Atiku in Igboland. Mathematically Tinubu have two ways of winning the outcome of 2023 presidential election in Igboland while Atiku have just 1 option in a tripod election. 1st option is for Igbo to vote for Tinubu, but that will not happen. 2nd option is for Igbo not to vote for Atiku by voting Obi. It is still a win for Tinubu. The only possible option for Atiku is for Igbo to vote for him, no other option is available. A vote for Obi in the East is not a vote against Tinubu. A vote for Obi in the East is a vote against Atiku. A vote for Obi in the East is a vote to increase Tinubu margin over his main challenger Atiku. MadamExcellency:HISTORICAL PERSPECTIVE OF HATRED By Dr Adenike Marinho I had the privilege of attending some meetings of the Yoruba and Igbo Leaders. I was not a leader but a youth who knew how to wash his hands. At one of those meetings in Owerri, I think in 1989, I think, I listened to Uncle Bola Ige and other Yoruba Leaders take the likes of Mbakwe, R. B. Okafor and others to the cleaners when the Igbo said the Yoruba were betrayers, citing that Chief Obafemi Awolowo led them into secession with a promise that if the Igbo left Nigeria, the Yoruba would follow suit. They accused him of not following up on his promise. Trust Uncle Bola Ige! He pointed to Chief Mbakwe and said, "you were there in the meeting between Awolowo and Ojukwu as I was. Is that statement correct?".He turned to two other Igbo and two Yoruba Leaders who were at that meeting and asked the same question, saying he had transcripts of the meeting between Awolowo and Ojukwu. They kept quiet while the Yoruba Leaders affirmed that Awolowo never promised to follow the East into secession. What he said was that if the Igbo were "driven" out of Nigeria the Yoruba would take it seriously and reassess their own position. Igbo Leaders DID NOT CONTEST this version. Then Chief Bola Ige threw in the clincher! "Who are you to accuse the Yoruba of betrayal?" he roared, and continued: 1. At Independence Awolowo offered a joint government between the NCNC and AG, with Zik as Prime Minister and Awo as Finance Minister. Awo and Zik "were still negotiating" when it was announced that Zik would be President in a coalition with NPC of the North. The East then collaborated in destroying the West and unfortunately Awolowo got charged was sent to prison for an act of Treason and Felony and his leutenants to jail! 2. What of the 1965 elections which the West and the East agreed to boycott? We met all night and reached agreement about 3am on the day of the election. In the morning, while the Yoruba boycotted the election, the Igbo went to vote 3. After the 1979 elections Yoruba (UPN) and Igbo (NPP?) Leaders were still at the negotiating table for a coalition when to their surprise, an announcement was heard that the Igbo (APP) had agreed to a coalition with the North (NPN) 4. After the 1983 elections, 1979 repeated itself. Not giving up, Awolowo reached out to Azikiwe again for cooperation. Talks started and they met in Benin where Awo pleaded passionately that only a collaboration between The Igbo and the Yoruba could save Nigeria. They didn't reach agreement but promised to meet again. Before the next meeting, the Igbo had again teamed up with the North Uncle Bola paused and then continued "we can go on and on. So how dare you accuse the Yoruba of betrayal? How many Igbo have been killed in Lagos, Ibadan, Akure, Oshogbo (he mentioned other Yoruba towns)? You have your businesses in the West and went to Western schools. Yet you count the Yoruba as your enemy. You get killed in Kaduna, Kano, Bauchi, Zaria etc and have your goods looted yet you consider the Hausa/ Fulani your friends. It's your choice. If you want to be slaves for ever, we can't help you" I had never been so scared in my life. I thought the roof was going to fall. There was a pin drop silence and no Igbo dared interrupt Uncle Bola Ige because he was telling the truth. The Yoruba Leaders ended the meeting at that point and left. I hope Chief C. O. Adebayo's memoirs will give more details of those exchanges. Now to make three points from all this: A. The Yoruba have been stretching their hand across the Niger for a handshake for a long time. The Igbo refused to take it for a long time until recently. B. Many Igbo Leaders of the 70s, 80s and 90s deliberately perpetrated the legend of Awolowo's role betraying them into the civil war and his role in prosecuting the war, to rally the Igbo population behind themselves. The Igbo agreed on Yoruba hatred than on any other issue. So it was the fabric that held them together for a long time. C. Time heals all things. Many Igbo reading this will be hearing for the first time that their leaders of old knew for a truth that Awolowo did not break his word to Ojukwu as alleged. Copied 3 Likes 1 Share |

Asíwájú is evidently a Yoruba man from SOUTH-WEST NIGERIA. He has a Nigerian Passport to that effect. He told you he is from Lagos. He told you his NAME is BOLA AHMED TINUBU. The LAW recognizes him as THAT NAME. A man has a RIGHT to any name he wishes to take as long as it is KNOWN TO LAW and attached to him. You are.the one who has problem. You are desperately trying to give him a new identity at old age. Isn't that silly? He told you his mother was the late Alhaja Abibat Mogaji. Alhaja NEVER denied it. Nobody in the Tinubu family has ever denied it. No Law can disprove it. You are the one who is hitting your head on granite stones over it, trying to give him another mother. 2. The LAW says he MUST be at least 35 YEARS of age as at the time he comes out for Election. The man tells you he was born in 1952 and that makes him 70 years old now. He qualifies. All papers before the LAW, Affidavit and everything else he has entered in official correspondences and records support the FACT of his age. There are many men who are still alive in Lagos, men like Chief Bode George who see Bola Tinubu more or less like a junior brother in the Lagos hoods. Bode George is about 76yeara old. The LAW hasn't complained about his age. You are the one tearing pyant over it, you say he must be older than Obasanjo. Walahi you are not well. 3. The LAW says a candidate MUST have a MINIMUM OF WASCE. Tinubu can read and write. He can speak English. Asíwájú tells you he has a DEGREE from a University in America. He doesn't care to talk about his FSLC OR WASCE. He doesn't even need to talk about then to fulfil the requirements.of the LAW. The LAW doesn't quarrel with that Position of Tinubu The University he got the degree from is still in existence in same America and it hasn't DENIED he was with them. He has done declarations in the past and answered your queries and questions. He already told you that whatever discrepancies there may have been were the fault of another man who entered it. The LAW AGREED with him at the LAGOS HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY AND THE FEDERAL SUPREME.COURT. You didn't go to the American school to find out anything. You are frustrated because you don't know which Schools, Forest or Grooves to enter in Iragbiji town of Osun State to find the ancestors you desperately wish to attach to his name. How is that Bola Tinubu's fault edakun? Continue looking. 4. The LAW says he MUST never be found to have been CONVICTED home or abroad. EFCC is there. ICPC is there. CCB is there. You have NPF, FIIB, FIU, NIA, NSA, DSS,.DMI in Nigeria and FBI and CIA are still in America. The man has been out of Government since 2007 [ 15 YEARS ] and has NO IMMUNITY. You know his house in Ikoyi, Lagos and the one in Abuja. You have lawyers, real ones and Internet lawyers, who know all the THIEF Tinubu has THEIF since the time he was born. But you guys don't know how to write PETITIONS or how to prove your case to get him convicted How is that TINUBU'S fault bayi, ni tori Olórun ? 5. The LAW expects all Candidates to have BLOOD in their veins and LIFE flowing through them. They need to be ALIVE AND ABLE TO PERFORM. The LAW doesn't necessarily expect you to be a Mike Tyson or Bullet Johnson. You don't have to be a weight lifter or a Marathon runner. You don't even need to have the capacity or physical Strength to do two press ups on your wife. That's your wahala. The LAW only expects you to be of SOUND MIND and able to FUNCTION in the office you vie for. When he had his issues with KNEE, like any man could have, he TOLD YOU of the Knee Surgery. Tinubu has been WALKING UNAIDED. He MOVES FREELY. He has been to nearly every angles the 36 States in the last 6 months. He has been working round the clock in ways that a lot of men in their 40s can't manage. He has his MIND AND BRAINS intact. The problem you have is that he isn't an Orator like Osinbajo. He isnt running upandan the stadium like Amaechi. He doesn't lie smoothly about China like Obi. He is ever so frank like Buhari. How do you want him to help you now? 6. The LAW DIDN'T SPECIFY RELIGION for the President and his VICE. Tinubu has a PASTOR as WIFE. He goes to his MOSQUE and his wife goes to her CHURCH. Neither of them have called us to complain of anything concerning Religious differences. The family has never complained to us. There is no court cases about them fighting each other over Religion. It is YOU, the Catholic Man who can never see the Celestial man as a true Christain, who can never tolerate his wife attending C & S or even CAC.. It is the same YOU who is crying over the choice of a Muslim Running-Mate of Tinubu. The LAW has given you many options. You can find any combination of CHRISTAIN-CHRISTIAN, CHRISTIAN-MUSLIM, MUSLIM-CHRISTIAN, OLUMBA-MARAHAJI, IGBO-IBIBIO, SÀNGÓ-OYA and make them your Candidates,. Campaign and vote for them. You can even pick a Hausa and Kanuri Christians are make them flag bearers of your parties. Simple matter. It concerns no one. It's a matter of CHOICE and VOICING YOUR CHOICE THROUGH BALLOT. peggywebbs:The point isn't that PRIMARY and SECONDARY SCHOOLS CERTIFICATES aren't good or okay to have but THE LAW only requests that you have them OR THEIR EQUIVALENTS as MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS. As i understand the Law, If a man didn't go to school at all in his wholw life but has had verifiable and certifiable exposures to other forms of EDUCATION THAT IS EQUIVALENT TO FLSC/WASCE he is okay by the LAW to contest any Elections in Nigeria. The LAW DOESN'T say you MUST BRING FSLC OR WASCE. If you had a DIPLOMA, it already surpasses the MINIMUM REQUIREMENT. The LAW WILL ACCEPT IT. Tinubu says he has not only a DEGREE but YEARS OF PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCES obtained from well-known organizations. Those are the EVIDENCES HE WISHES to present and they both SATISFY THE LAWS. The LAW isn't about sentiments or emotions but the things that are WRITTEN IN THE STATUTES. Your duty is to check out the QUALIFICATIONS HE PRESENTED to ascertain if they were true. It can't be his fault that you will rather spend your time looking for some ancestoral' and ante-natal records of ghosts from Iragbiji. That's your choice. You are free to continue combing the forests and grooves of Iragbiji looking for what you already predetermined in your mind to find. Good luck to you all.
