Have them add it to your i-20. The VO may not ask to see the letter

Best of luck

The I20 form has been sent already several months ago and I just got this scholarship from school by applying for the shoarship though an app. Can it still be added to my 120 form?

Does showing a document of scholarship from your university which is not on your I20 form e.g my school gives scholarship by applying through an app called oneapp, can it really convince the VO to approve your visa

Does tendering a letter of scholarship which is not on your I20 form to the VO also work or it must be written on the I20 form

The truth is that it's always difficult to change status from B1/B2 Visa to F1 Visa in the States. Trust me, the process is cumbersome and takes a long duration. You can't even start classes until the change is effected and sometimes the process may prolong until mid-term. Then that becomes a problem as you can't resume then.

Most times, they may end up asking you to return to your home country to apply for the F1 Visa.

So, my dear: it's better you go for what you want from the onset. If the reason for going for the tournament is to start school later, just calm down and apply for F1 visa.

Thanks for you enlightenment. But I have to play this tournament because there is an huge amount of money in it for all the players going but the tournament is only lasting for two months. Whereas I also want to study in the united states, I've even paid my visa fee but I've not scheduled yet.
So is it that people who successfully change their nonimigrant status while in the states from b1/b2 to f1 very rare
And what will you advice me to do in this case

Are you going for tournament or you are going for tournament so you can change your visa to a student visa which one??

Anyways, you can change your visa status while in the US. You can read more about the terms and conditions on the US embassy website.

Best of luck

I am going for a tournament so I can change my visa to a student visa later on after the end of the tournament, because the tournament is only lasting for two months.

There's but a very slim chance. You will most likely be advised to return to your country to apply for F1. So it's not a good plan in my opinion

So you'll advise me not to go for the football tournament in the united states

If you are only coming to play for prize money , you will need a B1/B2 visa.

Hello bro, after playing the tournament, can I still apply for an f1 student visa while in the united states

Could it probably be a student visa??

Well in terms of programming, Phyton and R can be used for analysis of various bulk forms of Biological data so it's still relevant, but then if you're an undergraduate why not finish and go for graduate studies? They have what you filled in the last time in there system so changing might raise more questions, but if that best defines your current situation then say it as it is, no need to lie, I can't tell exactly how it'll turn out, just have a good explanation on why you wantu leave it and go abroad for the same program, if it is access to better research facilities then state it and cap it up with a strong related job prospect as home tie, hoping it turns out fine

I've started this process already before receiving admission, so I've spent a lot of money for me to say I want to have a change of plan which is to opt in for a master program, thereby having to forfeit all my initial payment and most importantly my plans.
I just received admission this year and i am studying aquacultures and fisheries. can i relate it to microbiology which i intend to go study in US?
Wont it look somehow to the consular seeing i am studying a different course here and I want to go study another course oversee?

You can say that you're currently attending a boot camp were you're learning some coding and programming languages, preferably if you're going for a CS degree it'll be helpful, or you link the programming to however it'll be relevant to the degree you're going for

The problem now is I want to study microbiology, so they don't really go in line with each other. But I am also currently studying microbiology in university.. So should I put in the ds160 that I am a student or still still say I am learning programming which i used for my last ds160 which I got denied?

Good day everyone, please I have a question and I would love to be enlightened on it. I just finished my secondary school in 2019 but I become a student of a tertiary institution this year. But before I became a student I was learning programming and IT related stuff. Please, what can you advice me to put in my DS160 when asked about my occupation . should I say I am a student whereas I just became a student this year or I should say I have been learning programming.
Because I got to know this is a vital question that is always asked by a consular from an undergraduate.
Am in anticipation for your replies.

Good day everyone, I just joined this platform of recent and I've always been praying for the person that recommended this platform to me. Am really excited to be here because I gotten a lot of enlightenment.
But I have a question that I'll love everyone to help in enlightening me.
I got denied of an F1 visa at US embassy Abuja and that was November. On my I20 form I inputed that I was learning IT( programming and building of websites) but I was told that was the reason I was denied due to the fact that Nigeria is known for it rampage in Yahoo, so they have that in mind already.
Knowing that, I just reapplied but I am yet to pick a date at Lagos due to the unfavorable date that is still showing. But on my current DS160 form I inputed that I am a student meanwhile I just wrote my post jamb last year and I'll be given admission this February, so due to the far date my admission will be out and I need to quickly fill up my DS160 so I could see a favorable date on time, so I just forged a date which I got my admission ( date I became a student), with the hope of backdating my admission letter to the date I inputed in my DS160.
1. My question now is am I good to go with this plan?? Because if I am to use February which is my original date when admission will be given to me and my interview is in June, won't the consular be like I just got admission and I want to go abroad, won't he deny me because of that?
2. Will the consular confirm from my school if I tender my admission letter to prove am a student here in Nigeria
In expectancy of your reply everyone. Please guys, thanks in advance guys.
Please don't pass this bye without giving a reply, am in need of reply now please everyone.
