maclatunji: I think there's something called "Owo Iyawo Ile" (Wives of the house (family) money).

I don't think Yorubas ask for too much though and I am not being biased. Yorubas tend to waste more money on the actual wedding ceremony itself.
Thank, Let me also give you another example of yoruba owambe wastage, When i was in school in ilorin, we work on a term paper, we discover that some housewives who are unemployed (contributes nothing to the economy)spend money that is enough to start a small scale business on "Aso ebi". can you imagine that.

@Mac, i don't really get your point, you are personally against the use of ring but approve the subtle kiss (because of societal factor). Am i right?
IslamRe: Muslim Singles, Let Us Have A Talk by olawalebabs(m): 8:47am On Sep 06, 2012
Counsellor Mac, all this you are saying is just theoretical, when will you start practicalizing it? Lol. On a serious note, there are some actions that are not unislamic, but form part of our culture, i believe we can move on with that.

Can't they learn from Yar'Adua? Dame is human and she is prone to ill health, let the nation know it is nothing bad. since they did not do the right thing by making our health system works, their conscience will continue to prick them. Get well Madam.
IslamRe: Baby Born With Rosary In Ogun State by olawalebabs(m): 5:34pm On Sep 02, 2012
deols: say that again please. Since the Qur'an baby got that much attention and with plenty money, it is not surprising another story came up.

Abeg, Muslims shouldn't give these people the attention they want.

In fact, a police investigation should be done to ascertain who is behind this rumor mongering.
Thank You, Islam is not religion of MIRACLE but SIGN. All these things are just crab, real crab.

PoliticsRe: Abuja Public Facilities That Have Gone Extinct by olawalebabs(op): 4:40pm On Aug 30, 2012
Blisslife: All this dilapidated facilities falls into different sectors which is headed by different ministers. The should work with the F.C.T minister and ensure that little things of this nature are rehabilitated if not by the time the we wait for the whole infrastructure to be pull down then the world will come and watch us dancing.
it is the primary responsibilities of the minister of FCT (as the governor)to coordinate this activities with the help of secretary (commissioners).
PoliticsRe: Abuja Public Facilities That Have Gone Extinct by olawalebabs(op): 3:32pm On Aug 30, 2012
@Mac, Good point there, last week when i visited the city, the rate at which the infrastructures there are being deteriorated is alarming, only hope someone will see it and fixed it.
Chanchit: So GEJ did not see all this, if we assume say dt fct minister na jonzer..? He can't tell us, that he does not knw what developed cities looks like, afterall na every week e dey travel up and down, xcept if he uses Mama P's bra to cover hin eye...
he is only good in spotting the next street to re name after GEJ and his family member.
