November is a good time to travel on the cheap. How much are you thinking of spending? There are Hostels and some cheap a$$ B&B. Look online www.priceline.com, www.hotels.com. I was in London recently, although my hotel was expensive, but i met students from the US backpacking across Europe that were staying in a place for $25 Per night. I thought that was quite cheap. |
Mrlwang U feel me right? No head or tail arguments, is not necessary! |
How are all these Illegals in the UK getting Jobs? Nothing is easy, do what you gotta do. @Truthfully Find out how the next guy is doing it, and weigh the risks and then decide. I know it is not easy to work and live Illegally, but if you need a job,Hey!!!!! |
Uchie Where r u? Canada or the UK? |
@Nuru You did say he got a Resident Permit Right also called a Green Card here in the USA. I will advice him to take a leave of absence without pay from his Job and go to Canada. I think that by Law he has to travel and stay for a while or else he will lose his Green Card. Canada is going through an economic boom, and he will be able to work with the Visa and will be able to send his kids free, free health care and many other benefits. But yeah i think he should at least go and get his SSN and then come back if things do not work out. |
Scary Huh? Mrlwang i guess it becomes a choice based on proximity, not ease or peace of mind. |
Less Hassle in Abuja Airport. |
Lowerbwoy My Bad! i was watching it on CNN live not @ The Airport. Richard Quest was on live with Kyra Philips or the other anchor on CNN, and the plane just landed and i jut happened to catch it live on TV. I was in London last in March. And if i had a Girl there, i will keep that to myself. But no Bro I am in the US. |
@Buckeye Thanks for the Pictures. I will hold Judgment on that Navy Building. There is something about it that rubs me wrong. |
Tell him to Land in ABJ. It is easier and less stress. |
@The Voice I heard women were throwing their Underwear @ 2Face. What time did the fight start? Was it what the $45? |
@Kazey Why can't one work and Study? Is it because the law does not let you? How are immigrants treated? Which part of Malaysia would you say is not welcoming to immigrants or has strict laws. What kind of Government do they have? Does Nigeria have a Consolate in that country? Thanks! |
@Debosky I second that, Vancouver is beautiful. You all lost your basketball team to Memphis. Is it a Hockey only city? |
@Lowerbwoy If you travel from LA to Australia, you would appreciate a plane like this. I still like the B747-400 better, but this is a big bird. I saw it land Live at Heathrow Airport in London Yesterday. It needs wider runways and bigger hubs to park. |
Tickets for the NY concert 05-20-06 cost $45 and i hear that concert sold out. Then he is off to the MD/DC/VA Metro area for a concert in Bmore and i hear tickets are $40. I have not even heard one of his songs. I am not into Nigerian movies or Music. I know People that are going to the NY joint 2morrow, i will ask them how it went. |
@Topic I advice people to boycott this topic. We will not get anywhere, it will end up being a baseless argument. |
@Toshmann Heat maybe. Hardship Hell no. I hear Everybody in Phoenix has a pool. But there is also rattle snakes and scorpions. But i have never been there, but I Love their basketball team badly. The play the fun and gun style Basketball. Anyway the Phoenix Metro area is one of the fastest growing in the country, i guess people like the feel of a Sauna. |
VickyBabe How do u survive the Heat in Phoenix? |
Constantin You always post very interesting things, that keep me thinking. Great post and great analysis. When you think that we are the most populated country in Africa, you would think that we would be doing much better. I think Corruption and Safeguards. We had the Home Loans and Savings Fraud, Many Banks went under with Billions of Naira in Capital, Government Fraud, ETC It is such a shame. Sometimes i just sit and think "What If"? |
@Akolowale I am not commenting anymore. The man(Hspwise) is going thru the process, i am asking him questions out of curiosity, i do not need a HSMP form, where did you get your own info from anyway? As usual you can have this thread too. I am out!! You are still in Ibadan, or the UK? Stay Cool!! |
Akolowale Except you are an immigration lawyer, you really sound like a pessimist. Are you saying that he is lying? There is no path to British citizen with the HSMP? If you do not want to be a British Citizen and Britain will make him one, then what is it to you? I asked the man for an explanation and from left field here comes the angry ole voice. Please tone down your rhetoric, you are sounding more and more like a "Hater". Just Chill and make us think, instead of the divide and conquer approach. |
Kimba Where is going abroad then? Belgium? Australia? Germany? USA? For most Nigerians a trip to London is a must. I also think Nigerians waste their money going to the UK. But not all can get a US or Canadian Visa. So i guess people use the UK as a spring board to someone else. Many are moving out of London, to the outskirts and many other cities in the UK,Wales, Scotland, and Ireland. London itself is an overrated village in my opinion, with an exaggerated economy and taxes and laws that do not make any sense.Again in my Opinion. But hey it is a Yankee talking! Nigerians will go to the UK regardless. @Hspwine What papers do u now have. Here it is called a Green Card(Permant Resident Alien Card) or for Highly skilled immigrants, they enter with a H-1B Visa and their status is tied to their Jobs. So what it is you get in the UK as a result of the HSMP. |
