If it is so bad out here and people are doing all these lousy jobs for $10 per Hour, why don't you take that money you are spending on your education, and pay Igbenedion University or one of the other Universities in Nigeria? I think you are ranting because you probably are not allowed to work as a student. Save your dad's money, and school in Nigeria if all is so good out there for you. Not everyone has parents that can pay for them to school(Abroad) Many have to work and pay their own way. I wonder why you need a degree from the west, if life is better in Nigeria.

I will have to agree with David. The biggest company in the world is the US GOVT. The are always pumping in money into studies and R&D for all sorts of products. I think that capitalism thrives so well in the US because the government sets the rules and then lets everyone play by the same rules. Then stands on the sidelines and referees the game. In the process the has all sorts of social giveaways, and best of all gives everyone a right to basic/free education K-12. Safety nets, like Social Security, Medicare,Pension guarantees ETC go beyond security.

The US Government has many roles beyond security, that make it so effective. The taxes we pay are reinvested into society and it creates Jobs and creates ingenuity.Just announced today 05-05-06 Unemployment is 4.7%. In April the economy and government created 140k new jobs. Most in the service sector and the US Govt is still hiring.

I have educated myself and i have to say, i have lost interest in soccer. But i guess since i do not see it much, that is what i should expect. I am curious about the Nigerian Soccer League. Does it still exist? Are the new teams? What is going on there? I used to like Calabar Rovers and Etim Esin back in the days.

Damn I am so lost, it is not even funny. I have forgotten everything about Soccer, forgive me if i sound dumb, but what did Chelsea win? I have been out of touch with this game. Why is everyone routing for Foreign English Teams? What happened to Eyimba and Rovers and Leventis UTD ETC? I have been stuck in the USA for a while and all i care about is world cup.

Each time i come home i see people with Man U,Chelsea, and Arsenal and Liverpool Jersey's what happened to Nigerian Football Leagues and Clubs?

Did you notice in the movie, how in Texas they always wanted to Supersize his meal for an extra 49c? That movie was an eye opener. I am not big on fast food, if i have to do something on the go, i would prefer Quiznos or Subway. But i have to admit, I love Mickey D's Fries and their Milk Shake. Everything in moderation guys, you will be fine.

I agree with Loverbwoy.You are hating on Beyonce, by comparing her to this lady. Talent, Beauty, Breast and all. You dogged Beyonce's acting, and her song writing, I think your post has a lot of subtle hating of Beyonce.Can you please tell me what movie she (Caroline) has done? For Beyonce, i think she is an OK Crossover Actress, she can make a sub par movie make it big on the big screen, she has the "IT FACTOR". As for Caroline i have not seen any of her movies. Which movie was she in? I do not know much about her.

I am sorry but you have your gist all wrong, i think Beyonce writes most of her songs/Destiny child's songs. She is a terrific song writer and if i am not mistaken she wrote most of all the Hit songs for Destiny Child. IE Survivor ETC. She is known for her song writing in the industry. But i think it beauty based, i will take B in a gown over Caroline. The movie with Mike Myers was also a big hit. But she is no Angela Basset on the big screen, but her vocals are off the meter.

Who is she? My first time of hearing her name! What movies has she done? She looks OK, nothing to jump out of my clothes for. I don't think she has anything on Jay's woman. Beyonce/Destiny's Child have sold over 20millions records that has to account for something more than beauty(Talent).

Well said. I have those same shameful memories of dead bodies on the streets in Aba. Some people say they were thieves burnt on the spot, some say they were in a fight, some same they were innocent bystanders. It is a total disregard for human life . I am not sure why i am arguing with Mr. Akolawole, please let Nigerians in Nigeria stay where you are, and Nigerian in the diaspora stay where you are. But please we should all try and stop this crimes against children on our streets and cities.

I think you have to be realistic with what you expect. $1500 will not do too much for you. When you say German or Japanese Cars, those are imports and hold their value and are in demand. These are your maybes. You can do the Mitsubishi Galant 98, Toyota Corolla 98, Nissan Altima 98 and maybe the Honda Civic 98. German, i do not think there is much you can think of there for $1500. Shipping to Lagos Tincan or Apapa Ports from the Eastcoast, add $1500 and give a lead time of 21days for shipping and arrival. Oh i forgot to add the Mazda 626 or protoge 98.

Because of the Logistics and the trust on both sides, i can only help with information probably better than Autotrader and other similar websites.If you are looking for info beyond the internet, i can help and tell you what the tricks of the trade are. Most people get the health Insurance in the US thru their Jobs, and in most cases it comes free with the Job. And you can pay for your family if you choose too. But people do not die from health emergencies. By law all hospitals are open to ANYONE whether you have Insurance or not, whether you are legal or Illegal. In the UK they have free health insurance, but they have long wait times for services unlike in the US. Our health system is not perfect, but at least we have one.

I have a wealth of Information in this industry, and i can give advice and that is where i will stop. I will answer any car questions on this board and this board only.

Please guys i would rather you give me the name and model and i will give you the best prices and all that. I have shipped for my family and friends and i am not in the business of Jumping Castles, Tools ETC. If you want help with cars and Cars only then i can help. Give me a name and model and i will give you the prices, what other models that compares ETC And i know how much it cost to ship from NY or NJ or MA or from MD. I am not sure i will buy and ship for people in Nigeria, i am not sure i want to deal with all that, i work at a local dealership here, and i buy and sell locally on the side too. So i guess what i am saying is that i can help with prices and other things, but the logistics of buying and sending to Nigeria, i am not sure i want to go there yet.

At least we have Insurance so we do not have to pay those cost. That is why it is called INSURANCE. You pay into a system and it is rewarded when you need it. You have all these safety nets, that the country has provided for you,that is why the system is better here. I do not think we should argue again. I will stay here and you enjoy Nigeria.
