I know some people will be familiar with this video. though since 2009, but it's still fresh and relevant.

To save data, you can read the transcript http://dotsub.com/view/63ef5d28-6607-4fec-b906-aaae6cff7dbe/viewTranscript/eng?timed=true

I would like to relate this with our country. I believe the major reason why tribalism is endemic in Nigeria is because some people from a particular tribe has failed to see the member of the other tribe in her totality. Rather we feast on only one part of the story. The igbos love money, The Yorubas are to dirty, the Hausas are heartless, e.t.c It doesn't matter if it's true or not. What matters is that There should be a balance of stories.

The igbos love money but they are strong willed, the yorubas are dirty but ..........., that should be the way a story should be told; Both sides of the story are covered, both negative and positive.

I believe in making a little difference. I watched the video and i was re-orientated.I have shared my experience of "my single story" on my blog and i decided to gather stories of people who were victims of "single stories" and publish on my blog. I already have a story from a lady on twitter and it will be published on Saturday.

If you want to help spread this message with me. you can see more details here.

Programming / Incubating Centre For software Developers by ologunduduabra(m): 10:47pm On Apr 22, 2013
Just watched on TVc news that an incubating center for software developers has been opened in yaba where young entrepreneurs with ideas can come and develop and test their works. A way to support entrepreneurs with their dreams. Though it's foreign investors liaising with the government. What do you think?

ologundudu abra: Why were higher institutions established? Why do we enroll in this institutions? why do we study? Is it for studying sake? Is it just for the certificate?

Why does studying seem boring? What happened to people seeking knowledge?i ask my self so many questions.
is the government an influence to the rate at which students excel?

Education should be the bed rock of our community growth and development.

I shared my views about real scholars @ http://www.seasonedlifejournal.com/2013/04/the-real-scholars-efiwe_15.html you can check it out.

The educational system seem to be a mess. A final year students spends time and money, sleepless nights just for project. After submission and all protocols observed, the project is dumped someone around the corner of the supervisors office. Meanwhile there are solutions to economic problems in some of those projects. It's so devastating.

It's more than having all kinds of degrees. It's about applying want we know to build the nation.

Career / Common Habits That Prevents You From Accomplishing Your Dreams by ologunduduabra(m): 9:39am On Oct 24, 2012
"If you've got a dream, protect it."
accomplish your dreams

This statement caught my attention the moment i heard it. Will smith was having a dad to son talk with his biological son Jaden syre smith in the movie pursuit of happyness when he made a statement which I quoted above. This got me thinking and I realized that sometimes it’s not that you and I don’t have dreams but the problem is that we fail to protect it. The first step which is very important is to have dreams, set goals, make plans for the future, etc. It doesn’t end there. Your dreams are like eggs. It has to be nurtured. Catered for and make sure it gets all the protection it gets. There are lots of things we often do that can harm our dreams, aspirations, goals, and objectives. I made a list of a few things that are harmful to our dreams. continue reading......http://seasonedlife..com/2012/10/common-habits-that-prevents-you-from.html[color=#990000] smiley

A man was travelling and stopped at an intersection. He asked an elderly man, “Where does this road take me?” The elderly man asked, “Where do you want to go?” The man replied, “I don’t know.” The elderly man said, “Then take any road. What difference does it make?”
How true. When you don’t know where weare going, any road takes you there. Pls read more http://seasonedlife..com/2012/10/goal-setting-starting-point-to.html?m=1
Career / 16 Habits For Successful Self And Timemanagement by ologunduduabra(m): 7:24am On Oct 17, 2012
Here are some habits noted of highly effective persons. The list is unending but you can work on the followings while adding to the list until you are satisfied of your personal effectiveness.

1. Write Down Goals. Writing down goals, aims and objectives enables us to clarify our needs and focus upon them. It also makes you committed to yourself.

2. Remove Clutter. Removing clutter from everyday life allows us to focus better upon what is important. Getting clutter out ofright is a good way to keep it out of our minds.

3. Plan Ahead Planning the use of our time enables us to use that time more effectively, particularly when we are faced with several demanding tasks. Having a plan in place also means that we can gauge our progress and therefore gain satisfaction and motivation.

4. Prioritize Tasks Set priorities for each day using the ABCD category grid based upon urgency and important:
*. A- Act Now
*. B- Better Earlier
*. C- Chase Later
*. D- Do, Delegate or Dump

5. Prevent Procrastination Procrastination is the enemy ofsuccess and achievement. People who are more effective get more done by doing things right away.

6. Know Your Feelings Getting in tune with your feelings is essential to understand others' emotional states and what impact you have upon them. Feelings are the precursors to action and we need to know what motivates others to act or not to act in the ways they do.

7. Be Decisive. Being decisive about a countless number of daily events is far more effective than dithering or not making decisions. Individuals who do not know what they want in lifeor lack direction, or have no plan or suffer great stress willall have some difficulty in making good decisions.
