I don't have much to add to what JustMellow said.

You can Google for samples of sponsorship letters. You could also use the Nairaland search bar to find samples posted on this thread and on previous threads.

Lets just shoot straight.

To the OP.....

Funding your account with the amount to comformtable meet cost requirements for your studies and living expenses (whether it is for the whole duration or just year 1 of your program) and leaving it for 6+ months before you apply for your visa would not in any way exempt you from explaining the lump sums in your account if there is no correlation between you demonstrable income and said significant amount / bank balance in your account.

Everything has to speak for and tie to each other, even if you ended printing just six (6) months account statements which wont show the huge deposits made. The VO case analysts know all the tactics and it will take good effort to out-think them and win in this hustle.

bepositive11:
To add to what Thomsyne said, there are other factors to consider. For example, if you've been working for only 1 year and you have a lump sum of 100s of millions, it may not seem practical to claim that it's your savings from employment.

If you don't mind, where did you get the lump sum from? You may find it easier to just be honest about it.

IRCC may also consider your monthly income, etc.

To be sincere, people migrate to where they have better assurances of true wellbeing, hence Canada with a clear cut pathway and less stringent requirements seems more welcoming to immigrant. Plus, indigenous language understanding as a critical requirement speaks less for diversity and inclusion, sub-communities can be formed, and not everyone got a good ear for language.

I no even look dia at all.

bepositive11:
Thanks for sharing this information. It turns out that Germany doesn't allow dual citizenship though. Canada is definitely better for immigration in comparison to Germany.

It takes two to tango.

The endless bickering doesn't help your attempt to dissuade insuations that you are or battling on behalf of the alleged moniker. You are not doing him/her any favours.

Drop it as the original posters mis-quote have been called out and cautioned by a few.

Return to your original account (i say this because indeed, this account was created after the fact of @Nadingo's post) and loook towards the weekend.

I think, if i may, an observation indicates your personal distaste / dislike of the charito moniker / character is trully out of place.

Experience would have thought us by now that social media avatars and actual / real-life personas are totally different entities. And it will be unethical to form an opinion of someone simply by reading banters / feedback on social media. I do not say that both are entirely mutually exclusive, however taking into consideration that over 70% of communication are non-verbal, forming such strong and rigid opinion based on textual banter / argument on a faceless forum is a tad extreme dont you think?

You do not let any opportunity slip by to call the moniker out, i trully cannot phatom the root cause of this heat between you too that you both cannot really or willing to get passed.

I think you should drop this bias. You never know, the avatar on the other side of the keyboard may be that person you alway draft a smile or nod on your daily commute through life.

If someone demonstrate uncivil behaviour, call them out on that special incident, no need throwing nets and casting aspertions at every turn and end up supporting or encourage such cringe worthy exhibitions of others simply because they share a dislike for a common foe.

This is a candid notation.

@Nadingo, i am not a believer of anything, but you see this your post, paints a poor picture of your persona. People form relationships which are triggered from NL and spawn outside of the NL platform. Don't go casting gorry image of yourself simply in an attempt to run a "keyboard warrior" marathon.

Have a good one y'all. This was a beautiful PPR week. @2Pretty4U got her butt-load o' PPRs and that capped up the week for me. There is still a couple i am looking out for, so i will be here for a while.

Goto your student portal on myunb

click on "international students payments"

click on "CIBC International Student Pay".

select "No" to recruiter / agent

Input your Country & Region, and "Amount" you wish to pay. in Canadian Dollar

The System will initiate and give you the various options for payment, one of which is the US Dollar Equivalent to be paid via "Bank Wire".

Select the "Bank Wire" Option and an Invoice will be generated on screen and also to your email.

Take that, attach the usual docs, such as int'l passport, LOA, Ungergrad Certs, etc. and submit a tuition pay request on the Nig. Trade Sys. as Form A

ciao.

oh, please excuse my misinformation.

I only pointed that out so folks do not go packaging akara application supported with prayers grin.

However, the point of interest for me is what was done differently in the reapplication. If that part is trade secret, no qualms, can ignore.

Thomsyne:
I kind of agree with makano. In as much as prayer is subjective, humans aren't robots.
In as much as they work with facts and figures, their approval/rejection could still be subject to emotions at that point in time.
A very typical example can be found in football referees.

TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by olokings(m): 8:58pm On Oct 10, 2022
The lesson is in what you change.

It will be nice to share that. So lots of other folks here can learn from that and save themselves huge pitfalls.

The prayer part, highly subjective.

makano:
Your assumption is on point.. Sometimes Visa approval depends on the kinda Visa Officer that attends to an application..

Early this year I had a case of an applicant who got refused and contacted me, after reviewing the whole of her application, I told her this application of hers can actually get her a study permit Visa, she was suggesting Judicial Review (JR) but I told her no need of JR cos its is expensive and time consuming..

I just adjusted some things in her SOP and drafted her LOE, and we re-applied with the same documents (no addition, no subtraction) she submitted in her refused application.. And she got her Visa in 2 months time...

We ordered for her GCMS notes, despite getting approved cos I wanted to check something and I discovered her re-application was handled by a different Visa officer..

That is why atimes I do tell applicants, one prayer you all should be praying is that "Let my application get to the hands of the right Visa Officer, the Visa officer that will favour my application".

Peace

my GCMS notes never came till day.

Although it was 75 days delay as at date when i recieved PPR.

When i engaged them, i was told it will be delayed (processed) in excess of 45 + additional 30/60/90 days factorial.

Perhaps this is new information.

makano:
Hello Aduragbeni

Wait for 100 days for what? That is too long, I haven't seen GCMS notes take that long.

The stipulated time for GCMS notes is 30days, but we have seen some taking 40 - 50 days to be ready.. Max 60 days but not 100 days.. Please be guided..

you are not considering other critical factors such as source of funds being stable enough to continually provide income to the applicant over the duration of their study. if it is someone whose source of income will be significantly impact due to his absence from duty post during study, you think it will be illogical to ask for providing PoF for the duration of the study. So after paying you 1st year tuition, and consuming your cost of living for year 1. what happens to your welfare if you are unable to secure a well paying employment, or things turn around for your income / sponsor since they only showed 1 year PoF.

Let us just reason this thing and look at it from a third party point of view without sentiments. These VOs are plain objective and logical beings... some may be linient and consider the overall weight of your eligibility points, that doesnt invalidate the individual requirements and their criticality when packaging your application. Lets be direct with our consideration too.

Frankielilbaby:
Oh okay that is a first but still I beg to differ why would someone be approved with 15m in their account for a four year course. I think it can also be brought down to the question of how many years is your program for you said yours was for a year program, I think that just about summarizes everything don't you think?

we are looking and reviewing our SOP cum overall application package through the lense of grace, hope, and buck load o' sentiments. cool cheesy wink

Frankielilbaby:
A while back I was reading an article about this and the writer was saying that we should be careful these visa officers are not fools some of them have been in the business for more than we can expect and they are already used to these small tricks people play just to leave the country. Think of it as criminals evaluating criminals. When this happens you know what to expect. sometimes it takes more than just a few bank accounts with huge sums of money and it all comes down to one question. Why? Why is he/she sponsoring you now when they have not in the years of knowing you? Why are they willing to pay millions of naira ontop your own matter? Your SOP should do justice to these questions.
Think of it as you in a court fighting to prove your innocence so therefore you should say anything sayable to prove your point.
Show pictures if you have some
Instead of letters get affidavit instead.
Let them pay your fees from their accounts to show commitment.
When you have packaged your application try to look at it from a third person's view ask yourself if you have provided a solid source of income or if you have shown solid commitment.

TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by olokings(m): 1:30pm On Oct 10, 2022
to be sincere, with the rate of refusals flying all over the place, simply giving you documents showing his finacial status, and maybe relationship won't cut it for an assured positive review of this eligibility line item (i may be wrong, who knows, but if it passes, it won't be a usual case).

Try and demonstrate commitment and reasonable cause by having him transfer Living Expense, and paying at least a portion of your school fees (even though we know say u no go chop d moni grin). That way a/the VO can see that he is ready and willing to push your study venture rather than simply "Supporting you to acquire the study permit" that you are solicitiing.

Think about it.

Nazkid1:
Wow, thanks for the clarity. My uncle agreed to give me all the needed documents i will be needing. Do you think he can use his 50m account to sponsor me? My tuition is $18k
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by olokings(m): 1:27pm On Oct 10, 2022
I think she will be cutting it close with having a sponsor with just N50M commit N39m (which is 78%) of his available funds to sponsor her. This doesnt seem like a reasonable expense to be sincere. Considering opportunity costs to the sponsor. Plus, what is the likelihood that the sponsor is transfering these funds into the recepients account? or if funds is retained in the sponsor's account, what form of commitment / obligation can be demonstrated to show continued support of this magnitude.

Again, it is one thing to show sponsor's bank balance covering PoF, however, it is another thing to show it as a reasonable expense when you scale the relationship demonstration.

IMHO.

Bobomaigida:
Someone has given you a breakdown before, it is not only about the tuition, since you are going for a four year course, you are ideally supposed to show the

Tuition = 18,000 * 4 = 72,000
Living expense = 10,000 * 4 = 40,000
Miscellaneous = 3000* 4 = 12,000
Total = 124,000 at the official IRCC rate as of Friday of 0.00317780 = N39,020,706 This amount is the mininum your sponsor should have in addition to excess that he can use for his expenses in Nigeria. So, if your uncle has N50m then on paper you are good to go.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by olokings(m): 1:22pm On Oct 10, 2022
sorry, i trully do not know.

Pace6:
Please bro what’s the correct option to select from? For fast and more details reasons for study permit refusal
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by olokings(m): 12:50pm On Oct 10, 2022
i may be incorrect, but i don't think using a sponsor who has to commit over 70% of his available and accessible funds for your study is not strategic nor logical.

The sponsor should be able to boast a liquid bank balance requiring no more than 25-30% to fund your full study cost requirements.

This may not be a stated rule, but i think it makes logical sense. No normal person will want to "sponsor" or grant you scholarship which will consume over 70% of his available funds.

Keep that in mind when quoting sponsors. Then having multiple 3rd party sponsors is already a flag, when they don't totally encourage 3rd party sponsors to begin with. It is not just about finding sponsors, but finding one that you can demonstrate commitment and reasonable expense for the sponsorship.

ciao

Nazkid1:
Thanks so much dear, please i have another question, can i use my uncle and my aunty as my sponsors? On the first application i used only my aunts account which had only N14m for a 4 years program and i was denied. Do you think it’s advisable to use that same account? But this time I’m also using my uncle as my sponsor and his account got more than 50m
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by olokings(m): 8:11pm On Oct 09, 2022
We as humans have / had a choice in every situation we find ourselves.

That situation or choice is a congruence of actions and decisions taking over time. It is not just a one of trade off that happen on an immediate case. When we say we create opportunities, it starts from that simple decision to make friends with that yoopiee guy/girl, that decision to skip classes, that decision to go clubbing during undergrad and skip lectures which ends up graduating with a 3rd Class, or even pass. Even something as little as what and where you choose to eat, all forms a cascading dominoe effect on where you find yourself down the line and the opportunities that abound.

We just need to acknowledge that we are responsible for where we are. There is no body that is riddled with bad luck, we just decided to follow down a path and refuse to pivot when the end seems unclear.

Vulnerability? they put themselves there. Somebody said if you are coming to my house, bring your own food, yet you go visiting without carrying your own food and you do not expect that you will stay hungry? See the world doesnt work the way it work in our heads... reality checks us at every corner.

The Canadian government do not owe international students any special rights, infact, alliances is to the natives first and foremost at anytime. We live in a capitalist society, accept that and do everything to position yourself for success and well-being.

I may sound so because i am a realist at heart. I dont believe in luck, or grace, or hoping for the best. I believe in cause and effect, action and consequence ergo the need to understand our choices and make the right one. At the end of the day, we are all humans, and have affinity to protect our own. There is no way a mother in an emergency situation will leave her child and save the neighbour's, it doesnt even happen in the movies (maybe indian move sha...lol).

Truth is the risk of exploitation exists in all contexts and aspects of society, if you expose yourself to it, you will definitely suffer the short & long term consequences.

BePositive, i sincerely do get your points and positions, perhaps, our folks just needs to hear the #UglyTruth at the early stage where they are nursing this japa dream. Whether they are going to Canada, US, UK, UAE, or Europe. You can not just enter a land empty handed and expect tax payers to nurse and take care of you on a plater. You either pay through labour, or sleep in the streets, if they let you.

Excuse, my bluntness.

bepositive11:
So those people working over 100 hours a week have the ability to make their own choices and create their own opportunities?

See, in this world, certain groups of people don't have the ability to choose certain things nor the ability to create certain opportunities. They are vulnerable and at risk of being used and taken advantage of.

The least the Canadian government could do is to protect them but they choose to look the other way and even take part in the exploitative system.

I hope someday you will understand where I'm coming from because you seem to just not get it.

order another one charito.

CharitoJames:
So the notes I ordered since August 5th finally came yesterday, that is after 2 months. Now, the date on the note says September 14th… so that was when they ordered the notes I requested for since August… Secondly, note had just 14 pages of nothing… Eligibility was saying “review required” as per dem never touch my file.

Now these notes were ordered like 10days before my refusal.. shouldn’t it have the refusal detail?
It had my mails up until August 15.

The final decision is blank…

I don’t understand, this is October so it should have the refusal details at least or have some details about my application up until September… How come eligibility that started since May 4 didn’t reflect?

Or is my file still being worked on?

And do i order another one?

I even sent them a mail asking if it’s complete because i know even after biometrics, notes should be upto 36+ pages… so how can they present me with 14pages after 6 months?

What to do?

In life you make your choices and create your opportunities.

Bottom line is, every one takes responsibility for everyone's actions and the consequence thereof.

We can't cry foul when we claim to have the well-wither to cater for our financial needs all through the study period, then game the system. However, when we arrive there, and reality sets in with the need to work multiple and extra shifts we start crying inhumanty at the system when we are simply enjoying the consequences of our actions.

The Indegenes / Natives as you call it, you cannot go to a mans house and want to occupy the master bedroom now do you? At best you show gratitude for being give the guest room, or else, take a hike and get yosef a hotel where you can relish the luxury of your own spending... get my drift?

The system is balanced in my perception, you get better when you do better.

The #UglyTruth is, this japa waka is not for everybody. If it is not for your and you force yourself and game the system to get in, it will chew you up and spit you out worse than before you left your country. It is everywhere like that.

Very true. It's a painful reality. We may claim that we have abolished slavery and human exploitation, but the truth is that exploitation has just taken another shape and form -- we call them blue collar jobs, etc. And it's present even in the most developed nations.

But another interesting fact is that, those who end up in those positions in developed nations are usually the immigrants -- the non natives. Canada hides some of their exploitation in the name of "international students".

It's sad to know that there are students willing and pushed to work for over 100 hours, but I guess they themselves benefit from the exploitation. So it probably isn't a problem after all? I guess whether or not it is "exploitation", it really comes down to the perception of the individual.

But I'm sure that if they had better choices and opportunities, they'd rather not work for that many hours.
