The bridge has to be budgeted for - the money will not come out of nowhere. And with the steady inflation, war in Ukraine etal, the cost of the bridge is going up.

The costs of running lagos are also going up. So a funding plan has to be defined before the project starts. This is unfortunately how different projects get abandoned because funding was never defined.

Lagos has money; dem Obasa n co still dey chop. APC cant use the funds no dey excuse on this one; abi why are they promising when dem know that the funds is not there? It would make more sense for GRV to make such promises as he doesnt know the full state of Lagos finances, Oga we are talking of over 20yrs oo?

And why is it that when it comes to projects that benefits the masses we start hearing about money no dey?

For people from Ikorodu to get to Lekki, they either have to go round the water or cross the water in form of a bridge. Going round the water from Ikorodu to Epe to Lekki is 130km as shown on googlemaps, So where is the 6km coming from

Well that's debatable the Lagos I remember from that time was dirt everywhere and plenty potholes. He did well for Epe and built the BRT exchange at Oshodi other than that nothing earth shattering if you ask most people.

Ambode was removed because a lot of the Lagos APC stakeholders didn't like him not necessarily because Tinubu had issues with him well at least that's from the gist I heard, but I guess the opposition is more comfortable with the narrative that Ambode stood up to BAT hence why he was removed.

Listened to GRV for the 1st today, I admire the guy guts to take on the establishment in lagos no be small thing at age 40, normally when you see such youthfulness it tends to be children of established politicians being careered into such positions - so good on him.

Between 2016 to 2018, there was bunkering of petrol pipelines in lagos. It occurred in ikorodu, and in festac. It was allegedly carried out by ijaws from ondo. It was a very very very terrible time.

They actually deployed the army to stop them. The road blocks are still here to this day .

These guys bunkering were former militants and they were armed to the teeth. We would wake up at 3am to the sound of heavy machine gun fire. It was so bad that the air force eventually attacked the camps in ikorodu.

When it got too hot for the militants to bunker, they went after banks. They attacked diamond Bank. A young mother in her house died from a stray bullet.

It was a terrible and frightening time for everyone in the ikorodu and festac axis

In ikorodu there were even reports of girls being kidnapped into sexual slavery by the bunkerers

I think these are old pictures though, APC centering Igbo's in Lagos' elections is a strategy to create an us vs them kind of scenario so the Yoruba's who are the majority rally around their candidate.... APC Lagos is well aware that Igbo votes alone won't give any candidate victory, but Yoruba votes alone would.

Elections in Naija has always been rigged, even America is still shouting rigged election with their exposure diff being majority trust the system.

I expect LP and other interested parties now they have a seat at the decision making table to push for legislative changes that would ensure rigging is limited to the barest minimum something PDP failed to do, this gives you want you want.

We have created Unicorn coys and a decent startup scene and you can't tell me within a year these guys can't come up with a solution that limits rigging, not these half assed solution provided by Inec.

LP and others can also ensure that Mahmud goes, there has to start being serious consequences for failure, this should also include Emefiele.

Not sure who has HOR majority; but sure LP has a sizeable chunk in combination with others; the real work starts NOW.

It would be a crying shame if you guys fail to seize the moment, do not let APC change or control the narrative; Tinubu govt will be at its weakest point in the 1st -2yrs now is time to push for the deals cos although he won, majority of Nigerians that did not for him.

Tinubu lost Lagos - It is impossible to overstate this point. He also lost Osun that has voted APC\AD in the previous 2 Elections. Obi won FCT where the APC president lives. Tinubu has largely won where he was expected to do win. Labour has swept the entire SE. Atiku has won around 10 states and I believe has 25% everywhere.

You need to show more than just wailing to back your assertion that people have largely not been allowed their civic rights.

This is what I alluded to earlier, Obidient shoild be doing a victory lap; with all they have accomplished in just 8months... Are there no adults in the house to help these youths reason? When I saw those UI students clip on the vote count; filled me with joy & Hope 93 vibes.

I called the people I know in alimosho and they said there was an open revolt against powers that be. It has nothing to do with any conspiracy theory of playing games. The youth were boldly telling it to the old party men's face that they are tired of a system where only the old men and their families getting goodies from politicians.

I have video of whatsapp conversation on an APC group where APC Lagos supporters were latching at each other that some only took money and didn't use it for mobilisation hence APC's poor showing in Lagos.

Even Larride here confirmed people being over confident that Tinubu would win Lagos convincingly and didn't go out to vote.

And for those who think Tinubu lost In Lagos simply cos the igbos voted massively and Yorubas didn't, the joke is on them. Areas like Alimosho, Shomolu, Kosofe, Surulere are not even Igbo dominated areas and yet LP put a good showing there. The people are just tired and did a protest vote; that's why u see Dayo Israel crying asking APC faithful to mend fences and build bridges ahead of the governorship election.

I may not know about other places but the carnage u see that happened on Lagos Island which includes the burning of the courts , city hall , the invasion of the Oba’s palace and the Lagos state DNA center in CMS built by Ambode are all carried out by young boys who are actually Lagosians who live on Patey and Hawley street , Lagos Island. Those boys wake in the morning and all they do is smoke weed while waiting for any container laden truck that will come to deliver goods so they can collect toll.
