Politics / The Wisdom That Count: Championing A New Pathway. by oloyi1: 10:03am On Feb 13, 2019
I looked intensely into the TV screen, the image of youngsters at big brother Ninja audition drew my concern, the picture stood glare like a gigantic edifice, it sticks to me like a stubborn stain.
My heart sank in pity, my minds think profusely, I justle between finding a cause and a cure, a looming danger makes me panted heavily. When young able men throng the street in thousands for an auditioning programme with limited opportunity, when youth ran in desperation to placate deeply rooted plight, when man swings passion for fight to survive and able man became a wanderer questing for the means to survive: the social contract that welded them into such unholy matrimony can be better divorced than retain.
Sustainable economy is one that lies on the shoulder of the people, the worst one is the one without a blue print. It is evidently cleared; taking a clue from the nation's economic status that her working blue print is faulty because it does not address the utilisation of her human resource. The high level of disregard to Human resources is enough to make one sick, we can only wonder why our greatest resource remain untapped. It is a deficiency in wisdom that can make anyone place human resources bellow other resources, human resource remain the most viable and all round valuable. When nation don't know what to do with her human resources, such a nation is as good as clueless. In Bill Gate message to Nigeria on 22 March , 2018, he affirmed: "The most important choice you make is to maximize your greatest resource, the Nigerian people", Nigeria will thrive when every Nigerian are able to thrive. Instead of developing our people and maximise our potential, we prefer milking the nature and scouting for earthly resources; about $ 340 million and an additional N 27 billion, was expended , searching for hydrocarbons in the Lake Chad Basin. Our human resources gallivant the street, I wonder if we ever conducted research on how to tap into them. Every other resources appreciate or depreciate base on time and circumstances but human resource remain ever valuable irrespective of time and circumstance.
One can begin to wonder why Africa with all her resources remain the poorest continent and house the highest number of at risk countries. Countries like Japan, Taiwan, Belgium, Singapore, South Korea, Hong Kong etc; thrive because their human resources is thriving... These countries are earthly barren but remain more prosperous than any of Africa country.
Research shows that, Africa is the world largest deposit of mineral resources and also the world headquarters of poverty; why the paradox: there is a gap in thinking and utilisation of human resources.
73% of world Diamond is In Africa, 89% of gold, 92% of platinum deposit (Wikipedia) the list continue. Africa with all her wealth cannot make herself wealthy; it is an irony.
Nigeria is blessed that it can become an autarchy but she gives no regard or gives absolute disregard to what can make her other resources function at optimal level. She is at the mercy of her enemy, she is weak, she pays no attention to growing herself from within.
To champion a new way out of this woebegone and servitude: there should be a shift in thinking, attention must be shifted from earthly mineral to human resources, Our technical school must be equipped, our university must live to it's essence of becoming a research centre indeed, every Nigerian must be skill at doing something, we must build Nigeria's economy on Nigeria's people, Nigerians must be the priority of governance, the economic; personal; community; political; health; food and environmental security of all Nigerians must be the ultimate goal of governance.

The fact of speech consist not in it's quantum but in it's pragmatism.

Politics / Inconsequential Versus Consequential by oloyi1: 6:56am On Feb 02, 2019
Social media and other medial outlets had given the Onnoghe's trial both the deserve and not deserve attentions. The saga has been trending for weeks and Nigerians had given it an overrated publicities. I observed with keen interest and study the forces that make this issue more important than it seems. Our media had been discriminatory and partial, we have all picked a selective fight; either in defence of ethnicity, profession, political party or in offence to antagonist's opinions. As inconsequential as the matter seem, I became greatly alarmed when I see students whose academic journey have been paused for 87 days joining force with the media to make this matter more important than the situation that chased them out of school, I became afraid when I see students who have been forced to abandoned their education discussing this issue better than the ASUU strike, my fear grew stronger when this same students who have been compelled to stop schooling by irresponsible government and inconsiderate ASUU lashing out against themselves over the CJN trial saga. Where is the future, when those presumed to be future leaders cannot see things that adversely affect them and hamper their journey but paying close attention to things that are directly inconsequential to them.
However, in this ignominy, I drew an inference, no one will make important him who made himself less important. No wonder federal government has given little regard to the ASUU strike, our students never regard themselves. Bad government makes me worry but behaviours of our students make me greatly worried. May God redeem this land from ignorance.
Politics / The Destruction Of Value: The Collapse Of The Society. by oloyi1: 2:35pm On Jan 18, 2019
Virtue, moral uprightness and the pursuit of excellent were the guiding principles of our early growth. Before the advent of this present dispensation, ethical conduct, ideal value and healthy moral were features that characterized a child upbringing. Money could buy anything but not moral. value was so important that it is always expressed in song; song like: iwe kiko lai si oko ati ada..., ise bere lo ni Monday... Bata re adun koko ka... Omo mi se un rere ti re adara o... Etc. These were the song that constantly remind us of ideal value system but today this same value has become an illusion. Daughter comes home with money but the parents hardly ask how they got the money. Son come home with money but no one care to ask question. It is 9nice song that is reigning: wire wire kin sha ti lowo, ole le bomo je kin sha ti lowo. The anomaly that engulfed our society has made all of us a victim of its consequences. Today it is women underwear that our youth are scampering to get for no other objectives but money ritual. While youth in a sane society are spending time on research and discovery of solution to problems; most of our chap (youngster) are researching into which materials is good for money ritual. Slang like pata ni logo Benz has found a place in our collapse value system. If nothing is done to salvage and revamp our dilapidated value system, The latter result may be grievous than Boko Haram insurgency.
The death of value is the death of society. When it(value) is destroyed everyone bears the pain.

15.4 billion release to ASUU for arrear settlement. If that is the first thing attended to by the government; that imply it topped the agenda. At the end it is all about personal interest and egocentric desire. Using students to negotiate under the guise of strike for the benefit of all is pretentious evil.
Politics / A Drum Beaten Too Loud Than Its Capacity ( The Deno Melaye Saga) by oloyi1: 8:04am On Jan 03, 2019
When one drum beat louder than its capacity, it is about to burst. The present situation currently confronting Deno Melaye is a testament to what become of a man with unguided conduct. It could be recalled through deno melaye public show of senatorial gangsterism in the nation red chamber that; he become erratic. In December 2018, during the presentation of 2019 budget, Deno melaye in an outspoken vulgarism wantonly criticise the president without regard for the office he occupies: this cannot be said to be the reason why he is currently wallowing in quagmire but a man who deploy both constitutional and unconstitutional might to making himself politically controversial why disregarding higher authority is like a cocoon that cries for rain and then complain when its feather is drenched in the process.
Deno Melaye rather than making himself available has decided to flee arrest; an attempt tantamount to timidity and cowardice: a virtue he constantly flaunt. a clear conscience fears no acquisition.
I am surprise that the most transparent and honest Nigeria could not avail himself with constitutional provision to clear Nigerians of doubt; that is, if there is any doubt to be cleared in the first place.
The solicited cries for sympathy and empathy on social media by the Nigeria's senator is needless, absolutely unnecessary. The music is on, he should dance.
He who goes to bed with hitching anus shouldn't complain when he wakes up with smelling fingers.

Your drum should not be beaten louder than its capacity.

At least, Nigeria is getting it right in religion wise, if only we can preach genuine gospel and use the platform of the church to raise good citizens... soon enough all the problem confronting Nigeria will fizzle like a dew.

Just like a flipping book, days flip like pages of book, January first flipped to second; second to third; third to fought: from the list to the last and the pages of 2018 finally reach the last, a 360 calendar is completed.
My mouth is full of thanks, my mind is jostling to show appreciation; first to God and then to the good people that make 2018 memorable.
Thank you is the expression from my mind, let's do it again in 2019. Oloyi Kenny Thompson (Thomkeno).
