seunmsg: Oyetola is a very brilliant guy but he was designed to fail as a governor by Rauf Aregbesola. Unfortunately, Nigerians are very ignorant of what the issues are so they tend to make the wrong political decisions at every election cycle.
Oyetola’s major offense was not executing big contracts and sharing money like Rauf did. Some, especially Osogbo people also hated him for fighting Rauf. But truth be told, what’s in Rauf’s legacy that should be continued? Crazy debt? Crazy religious policies? Crazy educational policies? None payment of salaries? What exactly?
The governor inherited a crippling debt portfolio from Rauf. The state’s monthly allocation was not even enough to meet the servicing of the debt left by Aregbesola not to talk of paying salaries and executing contracts. Still, he managed to keep the state together.
He had two choices as governor, take more crazy loans that the state can’t payback in the next 100 years or cut down on government projects and prioritize payment of salaries, repayment of loan and execution of only emergency projects. He choose the second option and got punished for it.
People, including political contractors simply wanted huge contracts to be awarded everywhere without caring about where the money would come from. They wanted a governor who would come to Osogbo round about and stand on the roof of his car and share money. Oyetola refused all these and they hated him.
I sincerely wish Ademola Adeleke well but I’m eagerly waiting to see what he will do differently considering the huge debt portfolio of the state. this Tinubu supporter was one of the praise singers of aregbe then ooo. now according to him the same aregbe is now the problem. awon osinwin ooniyan pls remind which party aregbe belong to again? waa luleee nii, ooni shakaan rejee |

fergie001: The case is as dead as dodo.
Justice Nathaniel Ayo-Emmanuel, while delivering his judgment, held that the primary election conducted at the WOCDIF Centre, Osogbo, on March 8, 2022 which produced Babayemi, was null and void.
The judge said the primary that produced Babayemi did not follow provisions of Sections 82 (1) and (5) and 84(1) of the Electoral Act, 2022 as the Independent National Electoral Commission was not given 21 days notice before the exercise.
The judge added that the primary was not observed by the Independent National Electoral Commission, as stipulated by the Electoral Act, 2022.
The court ruled that primary election conducted by the State Working Committee of a political party is not recognised by the Electoral Act, 2022, adding that all conditions for a valid primary election were met by the exercise supervised by the PDP national leadership that produced Adeleke as the governorship candidate. thank God o. I have been waiting for your submission on the thread. thank you sir |

seunmsg: It’s obvious that Babachir is broke and need some money and attention. Tinubu should throw him some cash for rehabilitation. Dude is so broke and broken. Getting the VP slot was his only path to redemption and now he has lost that too. I pray he gets well quick enough. This one has found his voice after the disgraceful defeat in osun state. |

donphilopus: You think an average Yoruba person cares about religion? You'll see a nuclear family with Christian children, Muslim mom and the father, a traditionalist. You can't divide them along religious line.
BTW, have you watched a video where some old men were asked who they would vote for? I don't understand Yoruba but with the way they sounded, they said they'd vote Adeleke for the governorship and Tinubu for presidency. That's how most of them would vote next year.
As for the LP man, I'm happy he's on the ballot. If not for him, Atiku would have stood a better chance. This time around, Atiku (PDP) wouldn't be getting bloc votes from the east and South South which is a win win for Tinubu. That video is apc trying console themselves over osun loss. I’m a Yoruba take it from me the sw votes will be divided in to 3 Pdp,labor and apc. Sw can never give block votes |
