re-install cydia. ther server has been back on since i sent my last post.

nothing. i will just wait and try later. my cydia has been running fine until now. Infact , try again. It upgraded just now. i Guess saurik's server was down.

probably. am having d same problem.

Do you mean assigning a static IP ? yes u can. just tap the arrow button when you are connected to a wifi

whatever y'all do, don't upgrade ur jailbroken/unlocked iphones yet to 3.1.3. It will upgrade your baseband to 05.12.01 and you are stucked. If you've got a 3G with bootloader 5.08 and you upgraded mistakenly to 3.1.3, you may be in luck. A friend just had a terrible experience.

BTW, any fix yet for tethered jailbreak?

here are a few possible explanations,
1) The repo is down, check the forums for more information.
2) You typed it wrong, many people forget to put the / at the end of a repo url.
3) You aren't connect to a network , pretty self explanatory.
