my brother u started service November 25th. so. chill. na 11months u serve not 13 months. stream 1 entered October ending and are leaving 1st week of October. same applies to una wey b stream 2.so y shouting?

November 25 to October 25 is exactly a year, if it is extended to November, it then exceed a year and therefore 13 months and moreover, it wouldn't include the 3 weeks terminal leave.

So go and do your mathematics very well

My Dear, yours is different. 15B Stream 1 & 2 started their PPAs fully on January, none started before the other. During camping, Stream2 were at home, during Stream2 camping, Stream1 observed break just like the other. Both Streams went for December-break, then resumed fully on January.

Corper we!!!
My dear senior colleague, I'm a 16A corp member. NYSC ought to be a 12-month thing. please have you calculated the allowance you've received/will receive, if it's up to 12 months?
if 15B-1 entered camp in Oct. & 15B-2 entered camp in Nov., i see no reason why they should have same passing out date.
I entered camp in April 2016, you don't expect stream 2, who entered camp in June to pass out same date us.
please don't allow anger cloud your judgement

well, let me make some clarification, batch A ought to pass out before October 6th of course they were relieved of their official responsibilities from various PPAs before now. as a matter of fact POP should be before the expiration of the NYSC ID cards. we were only speculating that at most we (batch B stream 2 corpers) wouldn't be kept latter than October 6th because it exceeds 12 months. and please i dont think there is a bit of anger in my tone, i only notice an abnormality and i have every right to complain. or what is the possibility that GMBA spends over 4years in office, or a possibility of just one extra week under normal circumstances. lets embrace democracy and say the fact when we ought to, NYSC has only displayed incompetency by exceeding a calendar year as stipulated by The National Youth Service Corps Decree No. 24 which has now been repealed and replaced by Decree 51 of 16th June 1993.

Therefore let us not deceive ourselves and stand for what ought to be done not how or what is being done! Especially in this era of change and "Corruption, NOT in my Country"
NYSC / Fellow Nigerians, Its HIGH Time We Stood Our Ground And Say NO! by olujuwonj(m): 9:29am On Sep 24, 2016
Fellow Nigerians, I crave your support and please make this issue a matter of concern. Anything we tolerate remains if nothing is done about it. this is why we should not keep quiet about the planned postponement of the batch B stream 2 corp members passing out.

First: all ID cards expires on 6th OCTOBER 2016 and claiming that you are a corp member with the security agencies and especially present security challenges of the nation.

Secondly: so many of these corpers have made plans to move forward with their lives; some of which might include search for employment opportunities (eg: they wouldn’t have an opportunity to apply for employment slated to close before Nov 4th, eg: FIRS closes Oct 10th, Federal Civil Service recruitment was out Sept 19th and would last 6 weeks ), furtherance of education,...etc. the postponement will therefore irreparably damage a lot of things

Thirdly: These corpers we all batch B and have been treated as such since, proposing a different passing out date for stream 1 and stream 2 batch B is not only discriminatory but also unfairly prejudicial.

More over the scheme constitutionally can only keeps corp member for 12 months, NOVEMBER to NOVEMBER is 13 months and will not include the official 3 weeks terminal leave, which isn’t constitutional.

I therefore crave the indulgence of the general public, federal government agencies, non-governmental organizations, the house of senate and the presidency, to please, use their good offices and therefore intervene in this situation

if you want to enjoy the service year you can personally call the DG for extension perhaps you might be greatly rewarded. my ppa had already done an official sent forth for all batch b corpers, our id cards expires 6th of October, moreover November 2015 to November 2016 is 13 months which exceeds a year.... and remember we don't get equal benefits from our ppa... please I cant be a party to and support an insensitive NYSC scheme failing to comply with the constituted 12 calendar plan.... I can only conclude they are incompetent.

1 We have too many who has a better opinion about a particular situation.

2 There are too many people who can build a house in two weeks, with their mouths anyway.

3 Critics are always available even at every point to criticise you even when you are yet to start the adventure.

4 Leadership is passed on like a baton among a few group of people who see themselves as the landlords of our country.

5 The youths have lost their vision, turned into broad day terrorists vandalising our national tresures; Boko Haram, Niger delta Avengers. ..

6 Our much treasured priorities: Education, NO WAY! Universities with no equipments, hence producing engineers who would build house that collapse...

7 Corruption; a daily routine, our national treasury shared within few year...

8 Pandemonium: a cry for national disunity. ..

9 Unemployment; a university graduate 4.51 CGPA, now an Okada driver. To get good job you know a senator, Governor, minister. ..etc

10 Reporters, TV stations and radio stations playing politics with vital information creating a more aggravating consequence. ....

Smilling: Yet you see every Nigerian smilling, feeling unconcerned, as though all is well.

Let stand up for a youth powered leadership in Nigeria. .. Shun violence embrace national security.

NYSC / DG! Save Bayelsa corpers From Demoralised Local Govt Inspector by olujuwonj(m): 8:53am On Mar 31, 2016
The corpers presently serving in Bayelsa, Ogbia Local govt. has been under anguish following the gross misconduct of the local govt inspector, one Mr Joseph, who oversee the conduct of corp members in Anyama Zone. The Joseph had constantly been:
extorting corp members of clearance charges,
spending hours in the order of 3 to 5 on monthly clearance,
he disrupt the clearance process and then invite only female corpers to his apartment at Yenagoa for clearance, he then makes life a boredom for the males.
He verbally assault corpers calling them all sort of names
The peak of it all is the last clearance scheduled for 29th March 2016, he drove of in car claiming refusing to attend to corpers requesting for charges.
Pls director general, come to our aid oooo, before we refuse the clarion call.

Politics / Bokoharam; Winning The War Against Terrorism... by olujuwonj(m): 7:13am On Dec 30, 2015
I have patiently watched the efforts of the Nigerian Govt in winning the war against terrorism which had its peak during GEJ administration. GEJA had done the best in his capacities to halt the insurgence. Most Nigerian actually thought he lack the right attitude as to most of the insurgence, an example is the 200 Chibok school girls. The present administration had however since the past few months taken measures which had show result. Most of the localities that had been the fort of these evil doers has been cleared.

Now the present administration addresses the public, saying the war has been largely won.....

Wait, if I may ask, has the measures put in place not yielded? Has the raiding of town in the north eastern part of Nigeria continued for hours without intervetion of strong and resistive military force?

I remembered the Nigerian military vehicle being ambushed most times in the past by Bokoharam... We lost our fathers who were fighting for this nation... Some of them were even charged with treason...

Put yourselves in the shoes of these military men! What if one those fallen ones is your brother, what if you were the who is to carry the arms and fight for these nation, what if they were your in-laws....

Think! Be grateful! And let's support this men, who are fighting for our peace... I am not party to any administration, niether do I detest any administration.

Let us shun those clamouring in social media saying the war is yet to be won, half won, or whatever.

Let's embrace national unity, support the military, support the nation, support our peace, support our economic and social growth....

We are Nigerians
