awoof: Not in order of preference though, Jide Kosoko, Oga Bello, Said and Fathia Balogun, Ogogo, Mr Latin, this handsome Egba guy that acts English movies too i mean the one with trim beard. quite a lot of them. you know the difference between Yoruba actors/actresses and the others is that they go through the process of training in the tradition of the old generation of theater practitioners like the late Duro Ladipo, Ogunde, Ogunmola etc |

kaecy5: lets ask the girls them selves, r nigerian girls romantic??
i used to date a girl that i was buying expensive gifts for each time i travel
saw to it that i always call her , men and u sure know calling ninja on international trunk is not cheap
and yet she still complains that i am not romantic enough.
i had to ask what do u want tell me let me do it, i call u tell u stories u want to hear spend almost all my cash on u and yet your not satisfied? u tell me
i had to booth her and men she begged as much as hell to come back
times have changed no more gifts just talk if she is not happy she can go and hang
nigerians girls most times don't knwo what is being romantic and what is excessive hunger demands- most times it is comparision with just one simple gift her friend b/f got for her friend that makes them act foolish
even when the girls r not hungry they make it sound that romance is all about all expense what ever paid for by the guys
maybe an all expense dubai shopping trip paid for by the guy
mugu i guess thats what would make them happy girls over 2 u |

Nairaland General › 24 Things We've Learnt From Nollywood ! by olunifemi(op): 9:23pm On Apr 29, 2007 |
24 THINGS WE'VE LEARNT FROM NOLLYWOOD !!!
1. Every problem you have is spiritual. 2. In every romance movie, someone must die. 3. It is possible to hit a person without actually touching them! 4. Anyone who gets hit by a car dies immediately. 5. Poisoned food always tastes better. 6. The best way to make money is by visiting a 'Babalawo' / joining a cult / sleeping with rich men. 7. One of a pair of twins (identical or not) is born evil. 8. There is never an end to your suffering, except death! 9. With a pastor , all things are possible. 10. A movie can be titled anything, such as: *The boy is mine, * Face me, I face you, *Two rats, *Spanner, *Calculator, *Igala, *Ijele, *Igodo, *Igudu, *Shigidi, 11. A movie has not been made if at least one actor/actress has not- 'shelled', twisted his/her lips to speak wrong phonetics'. 12. You are in love, you want to take your girl out, the best place you take her to is, *Mr. Biggs/Tantalizers: where you'll most probably see an ex while feeding each other. *The beach: where it is imperative that you ride a donkey and carry her playfully. *Or the best: take her to buy some new ugly clothes. 13. An Igbo movie has been made if , * You visit a 'Babalawo' * A fleet of cars is shown off at regular intervals for a total of half of the movie time. * Kanayo 'O' Kanayo is in the movie. Pete Udochie is also there too! * To get rich it is mandatory you join a cult 14. Gun shots and knock-outs sound the same! 15. Sometimes the title has absolutely nothing to do with the movie and other times, once you read the title and seethe poster you know it all!!! (Also the soundtrack gives you a headache because it just narrates the whole story repeatedly - so much for suspense and intrigue!) 16. A love story has not been produced if it does not have one or two of the following actresses:- * Stella Damascus * Stephanie Okereke * Genevieve Nnaji * Omotola Jalade * Rita Dominic 17. The police are extremely 'efficient' unlike their counterparts in real life. 18. An actress can wear the same hairdo for more than a year and even in longer flashbacks. 19. It is permissible to wear very dark shades at night! 20. When you are shot in the chest, it really doesn't matter; your head will be bandaged! Same for your legs! 21. When advertising a movie, you really should shout because, people are deaf? 22. When you are extremely poor, you will still be able to afford- very good furniture, T.V., but you won't be able to send your kids to school. 23. Most especially in Yoruba movies, your gateman must be inefficient and comical. He MUST dress like a freak, be rude to all your visitors and never mind his business. 24. the bad guy always dies or gets caught by none other than the police- LOL!!!! |

JuneJemini: nuzo and manspirit, i for like to see una make i we just dey do our thing. Una talk like men no be woMen.nuzo i belif that thing wey you talk to the fullest (In Nigeria, the defination of being romantic by 95% of ladies na MR BIGGS, TANTERLIZER, MR FANS, CRUNCHES, SILVERBIRD GALLERIA, RECHARGE CARDS, TRIPING IN FRON OF THE CAR, MONEY TO CHANGE HER WARD ROB, NEW H/BAG;SHOE:HEAD TIE FOR GHOST WEDDINGS, etc). manspirit that answer na Bayo. he is more romntik than Oluchi dr erudite if you be guy for naija, revisit the masculine dictionary of west africa and naija in particular; you have a wrong notion of being romantik. You don't learn it because you want to impress a lady but you live it. nevertheless, there are VERY VERY VERY VVVVVVVEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRRRYYYYYYYYYYYY good ladies who do not fall into our description. Nigerian men are actually very romantik if what you mean is a man who loves you, cares, is there for you, spends for you like hajifish and breaks kaws for your sake. but if what you mean is a man who would date/marry you and NEVA tell you when you get off course or correct you but stays up night liking your sore legs and pussy with his tongue, you beta go to your village and get a houseboy you will pay for that. We have EGO, PRIDE AND INTEGRITY AS MEN MADE BY GOD, ? |

Under normal circumstances, all that should not matter but in Nigeria, nothing seems to operate normally and that makes me fear for Yar'adua (Mr. Gentility). Only good news for me is that his hands have not being soiled with corruption in the past and he was once a member of a communist/socialist group in ABU Zaria. But does he have the ruggedness to survive the terrain? He looks frail and fragile!
but Zik go university(lincoln university) .just dt Yaradua is the first that attended indigenous university. Who voted for Buhari anyway? That sharia man? |
