Please Nairalanders I need your help.

At about 9am this morning I received a call from this number 08068941992 informing me of a training in one of the WhatsApp group which I belong to. The caller then told me to hang on for a while to receive a confirmation code for the training. I received the code 737-685 and sent it back to him, he thanked me and promised to call me by 5pm to remind me of the training.

Few minutes later I tried to login to WhatsApp without success. I deleted the app and downloaded a new one but I can't login with my number. That's when it dawned on me that my WhatsApp has been hacked. I have contacted support center but they are of no help.

I went and reported to Police and made a statement.

PLEASE my people, what can I do to prevent them from using my Identity to commit crime.

Lol.... The guy is a creative writer though, while Nigeria has so many impressionable minds who will believe any thing. All he needed to do is insert a link to his website/blog/Instagram page/facebook page somewhere in the story. Boom! Free traffic for him! And possible way to monetize the traffic.

In 2017, a woman with a 2 years old girl, who is also expecting another died in their home at dei dei, Abuja. The husband was in his shop when he saw her and he asked her where she was going, she said she's going to the bank. The husband now gave her #100,000 which was the sales the man made that day to deposit in the bank and she left. When he didn't see her return after several calls made to her, he decided to go home to check on her,, on getting home, he met her dead in the bathroom. My guess waa she probably will go elsewhere and start another life with the #100,000. It happened in 2017/2018 in Abuja.

On Tuesday, the Senate yesterday endorsed a proposal for life imprisonment for anybody found guilty of kidnapping as against the 10-year imprisonment provision contained in the current law.

The senate also approved the removal of a two-month Statue of Limitation on the prosecution of rape offenders as contained in the Criminal Code Act.

IgbereTV reports that these came to light as an amendment of the Criminal Code Act, 2014, passed second reading on Tuesday.

The legislators are amending the Act to review some provisions in it and replace them with stiffer ones. The bill was sponsored by Senator Oluremi Tinubu (APC, Lagos Central). Leading the debate, Tinubu said the frequency of kidnap across the federation and its resulting trauma, not to mention the number of lives lost to the crime, made it imperative to review the laws with a view to ensuring appropriate punishment for perpetrators and deterrence for would-be perpetrators. “Thus, this bill proffers a life sentence for persons found guilty of kidnapping,” she said. She noted that the current Section 364 of the act proffers a punishment of imprisonment for a term of 10 years where a crime of kidnap is established. The amendment bill also seeks an amendment to Section 221 of the Criminal Code which provides that “where a person has or attempts carnal knowledge of a girl being of or above the age of 13 and under the age 16, an ‘idiot or slowpoke’, he shall be liable to imprisonment for a period of two years provided that the prosecution is commenced within two months after the offence is committed.”
