Republican billionaire Donald Trump said in an interview broadcast Sunday he would forgo the $400,000 salary that comes with the US president’s job.

“I’m not going to take the salary. I’m not taking it,” he told CBS’s “60 minutes,” confirming a promise he made in a campaign video in September.

“I think I have to by law take $1, so I’ll take $1 a year,” he added.

He also sought in his first televised interview as president-elect to reassure Americans fearful of a crackdown on minorities — while assuring his core supporters he will not let them down on gun rights, abortion or immigration.

The Republican billionaire — whose shock election on a populist and anti-immigration platform has spurred days of protests — told demonstrators they have no reason to fear his presidency.

“Don’t be afraid. We are going to bring our country back,” he said in the interview with CBS’s “60 Minutes.”

Trump said he was “saddened” by reports that incidents of harassment and intimidation of minorities had spiked since his election — and called for it to end.

“I hate to hear that. I am so saddened to hear that,” Trump said when asked about the reports. “If it helps. I will say this, and I will say right to the cameras: Stop it.”

Millions were expected to tune in to “60 Minutes” for clues on how the populist billionaire will govern, and how far he intends to convert his strident campaign slogans into hard and fast policy.

Trump sent out clear signals to his core electorate on a string of flashpoint issues.

He reaffirmed plans to aggressively deport or jail as many as three million undocumented immigrants — those with criminal records, he said.

Trump also said he stood by his pledge to build a wall on the Mexican border — although he said it could include some fencing.
And on the key issue of the Supreme Court — where one of nine seats is currently vacant — he vowed his nominees would support abortion restrictions, and defend the constitutional right to bear arms.

“The judges will be pro-life,” Trump told CBS. “In terms of the whole gun situation,” he added, “they’re going to be very pro-Second Amendment.”

But he also signalled that he would not seek to overturn the legalization of same-sex marriage in the United States.

“It’s law. It was settled in the Supreme Court. I mean it’s done,” Trump said when asked on CBS’s “60 minutes” if he supports marriage equality. “And I’m — I’m fine with that,” he added.

And in a final conciliatory gesture, the billionaire said he would forego the $400,000 salary that comes with the function of US president.

“I’m not going to take the salary. I’m not taking it,” he said. “I think I have to by law take $1, so I’ll take $1 a year,” he added.

While putting all necessary document together needed for interview, I noticed that I omitted a letter in my middle name. So I filled another DS160 but you know have already scheduled an appointment with the error DS160 confirmation number.

So I mailed to explain what happened and also gave them the new confirmation code.

I got a response that 'the case has been updated, please log back into your account to view the details'

Does this mean they have rectified the issue by making my new confirmation code reflect on the appointment confirmation page barcode?

EgyptAir Flight 804 heading from Paris to Cairo disappeared from radar with 66 people on board, an airline official said Thursday.

The plane was flying at 37,000 feet when it vanished shortly after entering Egyptian airspace, the airline tweeted.
The Egyptian navy is conducting search and rescue operations in the area.

What we know so far:
The Airbus A320 had 56 passengers and 10 crew members on board, said Capt. Ahmed Adel, a vice chairman at EgyptAir. Passengers included two infants and one child. Earlier, the airline said 69 people were on board.
It left Paris' Charles de Gaulle Airport at 11:09 p.m. local time and was supposed to land in Cairo at 3.15 a.m. Thursday. Both the departure and arrival cities are in the same time zone.
It vanished 10 miles into Egyptian airspace, the airline said.
The plane's captain had 6,000 flying hours while the first officer had 4,000, Adel said.
The Egyptian navy is conducting search and rescue operations in the area it vanished, CNN's Ian Lee said from Cairo. Armed forces are searching the area 40 miles north of Egyptian coastline.
There was no special cargo on the flight and no notification of any dangerous goods aboard, Adel said.
The plane entered EgyptAir's service on November 3, 2003, he added.

Analysts weigh in
CNN aviation correspondent Richard Quest said the plane vanished while cruising -- the safest part of the journey.
"Planes just do not fall out of the sky for no reason, particularly at 37,000 feet," he said.
The fact that it entered Egypt airspace and did not report in is highly significant, CNN aviation analyst Mary Schiavo added.
"Since they were 10 miles into Egypt airspace, they should have reported in. If anything had been going on they would have reported at that time," she said.
Experts said while it's too early to determine what happened, the first priority is to find survivors.
"Find the plane, find the people, see if there are folks that could be rescued," said David Soucie, a CNN aviation safety analyst.
"Safety people are looking at safety issues, maintenance people looking at maintenance issues, security people looking at security issues."

Conditions were clear and calm when the plane crossed over the Mediterranean Sea, according to CNN meteorologist Pedram Javaheri.
"The area in question in the eastern Mediterranean is currently under clear skies, but computer models suggest a storm system may impact the region as early as Friday afternoon," he said.
"Once the plane reached the Adriatic Sea, several hours into its journey, clouds were beginning to clear and it remained that way for at least another 1-2 hours before the plane's final known location."
If there are any survivors, there may still a window to save them.
"The water temperatures in the eastern Mediterranean near Egypt are in the low 20s Celsius [mid to low 70s Fahrenheit]," Javaheri said.
"Survival times in such waters range from 2-7 hours for the elderly or individuals in poor health, while they range anywhere from 2 to 40 hours for healthier individuals."
