launrey: Hello house. Please I have a GP of 3.04/5.0 (I think that's a 2.4/4.0 on the American scale). I know that this is quite low. But I hear it's not impossible to get a graduate school in the US. My lecturers have promised to help write good recommendations, and I will be taking the GRE soon hoping to get good scores and the IELTS too. Please I have looked into the admission requirements of most grad schools in different states at the US and generally a 3.0/4.0 is advisable. I need nairalanders to help me identify schools that it's probable to get admitted. A MSC degree in Chemical Engineering or Petroleum Engineering are my interests.(i had my undergraduate in Chemical Engineering)

I want you to know that GPA alone doesn't give one admission, everythin works all together(GPA, STATEMENT OF PURPOSE,RECOMMENDATION LETTER, GRE) just as you have said low GPA, low GPA must be accompanied with good ST, RL and very good GRE score. Again you have to work on school search, there are some schools that accept 2.7/4.0 some school that request GPA of 3.0/4.0 might even accept you conditionally. So don't be discourage apply to schools.

teemodel: read on the thread where a guy fasted and prayed and stop seeing his girlfriend just for visa. Me, I fasted 14days, 3days again last week. Basically, I used July and August to fast...lol. stopped hanging out with friends. GOD of Bishop David Oyedepo is indeed faithful. The theme for the month is God work wonders through praise...I started praising God sote even for inside my car nah Gospel Music, for house nah OneGospel channel I dey watch for dstv. To God be the Glory. I also PM Joenice and Bigfrancis here and they were helpful.

I got to the interview early, waited outside for almost 2hrs. My appointment was 10pm. During the waiting time, one guy was trying to chat me up but I told myself no distraction. They rejected the lady before me and she kept on arguing with the VO. By the way, I wore jean and top. VO said next person and I appeared.

Me: Good afternoon with a smile
Vo: pass me ur document
Me: sure, here please
Vo; where you going to visit
Me; No, I am going for master in PM
Vo: have you travelled before
Me: yes to UK
Vo: what for
Me; Masters in blabla Engineering in blabla uni
Vo: why u going for another master
Me: I want to set up a bla bla company in Nigeria with support from my family. I decided to go for this degree becos I want the blabla company to be successful. Though I already have the technical skills required but I want to be a better program manager, a better people's manager and a better financial manager.

Vo: gave me the white paper and said visa issued.
Me; thank You, I was rushing out but she called me back
Vo: you left ur I20 behind make sure you keep it with you when you are travelling. By the way, when are u resuming. She checked and realised its sept.

Me; thank u.

She didn't ask for any document, no gre, no English test.

It can only be God.

Very good, when you get to oshodi cross to the oda side (oda side of the bridge not where BRT going to CMS stands ooo but the oda side) u will see bike men asking pple where dey re going. Get a bike under that bridge, tell the man you are going to akintola williams delloite (JKK is very close to akintola willams)

NB: when confused please ask around where u can get bus or bike going to town planning, frm town planning ask anyone again for akintola willams delloite or Mutual benefit (JKK is very close)
