Poems need to grace the frontpage, too. I don't know why it seems to be like an extinction genre of literature. Even the just concluded literary award, poetry was given no recognition.

on ballot paper trooping day

Snail, shell; cadaver, earth
an un-renege rocky oath
between body and soul, birth

You shall be the drumming breath
breathe into my succumb nostrils
and dancing to your rhythm is my debt

I, the puppet piper play. On a par
with your dictating masked tune
of you, the idol and I, worshipper

A castle beckons on the outskirt of island
and dollars dwell with western made possessions
where you live to milk the blessed land

Your quiet face, godfather, will rule the populace
I shall bear no liver to erode or dare
say no to your heavy tongue. All the days

Of all my regimes. And I stand, power
intoxicated. Rig me in now! And when I grabbed
mantle, I shall erect a selfless jerichoed tower

OMA4U and noble4d,what do you sirs think about this? Instead of posting our poems devoid of 'stanzaic' beauty because of the way NL displays it without spaces,why don't we start doing something like this?

(STANZA1 )
Someday I shall rise and leave my friends.
And seek you again in the world's far ends.
You whom I had found so fair.
And my only god in the days that were.

(STANZA 2)
My eager feet shall find you again.
Though the sullen years and marks of pain.
Would have put an end to beauty's reign.
But of what is my gain?
For I now am ugly,ugly and pale.

There is a dot to separate between the stanzas.

Describe the morning another way.

"so sad that friday morning'

(it makes sense in terms of time, even if d days of d wekk have nothing to do per se)

that would do yeah (mimics car ignition and vroooms off. Turns back to give a wave)
