noble4d:Seriously? That's why we earnestly need to bring the poetry section to limelight. |
rapmike:Won't that flaw bring him to an unexpected negative end? |
Are people not interested in Poetry or why is this thread so dry? |
Divepen, is poetry not considered as a genre of literature? |

Let me help a brother out Adichie studied medicine and pharmacy at the University of Nigeria for a year and a half. During this period, she edited The Compass, a magazine run by the university's Catholic medical students. At age 19, Adichie left Nigeria for the United States to study communications and political science at Drexel University in Philadelphia; she transferred to Eastern Connecticut State University to be near her sister, who had a medical practice in Coventry . She received a bachelor's degree from Eastern, with the distinction of summa cum laude in 2001. In 2003, she completed a master's degree in creative writing at Johns Hopkins University. In 2008, she received a Master of Arts degree in African studies from Yale University. Adichie was a Hodder fellow at Princeton University during the 2005–06 academic year. In 2008 she was awarded a MacArthur Fellowship . She has also been awarded 2011–12 fellowship by the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study , Harvard University. |
5minsmadness:Source please. This is fallacy of the highest order! |
Why did you make Detective Lot do this? If it does not add to the story, you can remove it. It will make us trust him less as he can easily be manipulated by s3x. |
CHIMAMANDA IS NOT A DOCTOR! Sir fhunn If person don dey talk to much, na dis kain thing go dey happen. |
The documents, aside from CV and cover letter, are: Waec/neco certificate, NYSC ( I guess it's not applicable though), international passport, transcript. |

This is the maiden edition of Nairaland Collaborative Poetry Competition. To keep this part of literature section alive and to enhance team work among poets, we have come up with this challenge. We promise it's going to be interesting. Suggestions are welcome. PLS WE NEED PUBLICITY. POST THE LINK ON OTHER LITERARY THREADS. To be updated.... Are you in? Sir Orikinla, where have you been? |
What shall I say? Endorsed! Nice idea |
I think this prize is for the best updater of the month, but we don't follow that. People just come in to vote their favourite without reading stories beforehand. Princesa, and any other person moderating this, please do proper verifications, unless you want to change the rules. Thanks OMA |
Chuksemi:I've not got the enough time to upload poems lately. Watch out for the new poetry inventions this weekend. I'll tag you anyway. Thanks OMA |
Larry must have gone 'gaga' to come up with the kind of story. But wait, no explanation about the cards yet? Larry, come and update sharp sharp abeg. I started from chapter 12 this morning and by now I've read the story to the last update. It's really captivating. |
Finally, Mr Larry is able to bless us with lectures on punctuation marks. Even if they are just three, it's commendable. Better late than never. Thanks, Nairaland Literature Section is indebted! You've really helped me with the use of 'comma'. I don't know why, comma confuses me a lot. Thanks, Larry. And Texanomaly, you're right. Thanks. |
