Guy, put your brain cells to work for once. The Igbo and Yoruba although share a lot of languages similarities they are still different languages. The Ikwerre are nothing but a dialect of the more populous and wider Igbo nation. Ikwerre is grouped under Igboid languages just like Owerri ,Ngwa, Nsukka etc.

No linguist on this planet will classify Ikwerre as a stand alone language because the similarities with its neighbors are too great to be ignored.

However, keep your Ikwerre identity because we dont give a flying f*ck. Nobody on this thread had asked you to be Igbo. That was maybe 10yrs ago....

Its called Ofeakwu which is an Anambra dish. We don't call it Banga soup because that what Uhrobo people who eat it with swallow calls it.
