Like I said before the first half, we don't have a team. This is a very poor and disgraceful first half

I used to be tensed before Nigeria's match...no anymore. I will expect the worse because I have no reason to raise my hope. However, I wish them good luck. They actually have great set of players but there is no team!

The glorious days of Nigeria's football is still in the past. The Ivorians know we are under pressure and if they are smart they will play psychological games with us.

The Congolese and Zambian team play with some big phoking balls

The only two creative players we have in this current squad are Iheanacho and Lookman but they are forwards. Soon people will realize the importance of a creative midfielders in the team.

This SE team will never succeed with Iwobi as a creative midfielder. If you like get emotional and cry all day but you can't give what you dont have...Look at Tinubu, a criminal pretending to fight corruption and reduce wastage

Iwobi has been a professional footballer for over a decade and there's still no idea what's his best position.
Definitely not a CAM that I'm sure of.
Iwobi should be competing with Simon out on the wings and no where near midfield.

As far as I am concerned, Iwobi is not a midfielder and doesn't have the capacity to create play for the SE. We have been watching that boy for over s decade and he practically brings nothing to the table. Iwobi is a liability to the SE. He is harming is more than hell. The man walks around the pitch all day doing nothing and suddenly makes one little pass and he will be celebrated like a hero. He is a pretender and has nothing to offer the SE.

They looked compact but were unable to create anything tangible until the red card.

After Ounah and El-Nesry left the pitch the subs looks sub par!

Winning alone doesn't tell the whole story.

Zambia and DRC will give them a lot to think about!

This is very correct. They will struggle against Zambia and Congo. The Congolese especially are hard as nail

I rewatched the match between Nigeria and E. Guinea and I want to point out some observations.

My takes:

*Nigeria was unsettled by the E.Guinea for the most part of the first half. We couldn't string passes together especially in the midfield and attack.

* The SE is still having a midfield problems. Onyeka and Yusuf worked their socks off but IWOBI continued to be a weak link in the midfield. Iwobi has no sense of responsibility as the team playmaker. Onyeka and Ajayi were usually seen surging forward with the ball while Iwobi kept running around like MKPULU AMU!

*Aina was full of tricks, very strong and lively all through the match.

* Zaidu was very lively but ineffectual. He is full of runs but lacks end product. This is a typical Zaidu style.

* Moses Simon was very poor and I wouldn't start him in the next match. I cant think of his impact in the team.

* Iwobi Lookman started poorly but as the game advanced he picked up and was very good on the ball. He became more aggressive and confident on the ball. In fact, Lookman was the most creative player on the pitch.

*Onyeka, Lookman, Aina ,Yusuf and Ajayi were the most impressive players in the SE colors.

* The Equatorial Guinea were more aggressive played like a unit and bullied the SE to my wonderment.

I watched the naija vs EG full match, and I don’t think we did badly. Also, I think the spate of substitutions in the team list leading to the AFCON may be a blessing in disguise. Alhassan, Onuachu, Moffi will all come good.

Observatiins from the EG game:
1. Osimhen will improve in his decision making as the tourney progresses

2. Zaidu is not fully fit. Peseiro should have played Bassey at LB. Bassey gives us better options going forward.

3. The Iwobi, Onyeka, Alhassan chemistry will improve and our forwards will continue to get good support from the rear.

4. Iheanacho was highly needed in that game. He is the kind of player that mends things if all fails.

5. Nwabili was solid in confidence level. Will his confidence level stay up there against CIV?

Technically with ball to feet Osimhen is poor. This shouldn't breaking news to anyone that has watched him play even one game. He is not a Berbatov, João Felix, etc

What makes him one of the best is the combination of his ridiculous work rate,pace, pressing, aerial ability and just hustling. These create goal scoring chances in every game. However, his finishing is average (neither great nor poor). He's most definitely not a Lewandoski, Kane, Benzema or Haaland etc.

He will miss more chances than he scores. He always has...

Succinctly put,ma G. His technical abilities are average but he makes up for it in other areas

Osimhen is a typical Nigerian. Very emotional and impulsive which affects his movements on the field. He suddenly forgets he is a striker and keep running into office positions
