He inherited those players from our "corrupt" Nigerian coaches. Keshi , Siasia , Eguavon didnt have these sort of talents,when they coached the Eagles....you know ,like Pep struggling to win matches at the Champions League without his Barcelona special talents...lol. In essence, Rohr was simply lucky-in the right place at the right time. He is not a genius! However, I think he knows how to manage players attitudes and behaviors.

assembling a team for the senior national team is different from assembling one for youth teams. national team coaches have no time nurturing players but monitor them in their various teams and will only invite those whom the deem good enough for their project.

it is the sole responsibility of grassroot coaches and youth coaches to unearth raw talent who re transformed to better players by featuring them in youth teams. no right thinking head coach of any national team will comb the surburbs and ghettos to discover talents when he has riches to that regard doing very well in top leagues and teams in europe.

days are gone when senior national team coaches indulged on such archaic methods unless the country in question lack good players plying their trade in europe. this is the main reason why the nff established the u15 team where scouted unpolished young talents are assembled with the aim of graduating the set to the u17,u20,u23 and the senior team in the future.
