Well, it's not like the team has played together and assumed cohesion and stability. Loads of talents but little preparation. It's a 50-50

Are you afraid of stats?

Three of the local governments in Lagos state are far more developed than any local government in Nigeria save Abuja municipal. Facts
Isnt it interesting that all of a sudden you developed aversion to stats...smh. However, I noticed something peculiar with many Yorubas. You guys are quick to pull the "Lagos" card. I don't even want to get into the bogus claim you made because it's evident you are shifting grounds...lol.

If you want to make your usual brag that has no modicum of facts do it with your village people...we have a lot of learned and wise people here. But ,let me engage you a little bit....the marginal success of Lagos is not as a result of the Yoruba man's intelligence and ingenuity. Lagos profited primarily because of its location and suitability. You seem a bit educated but you lack exposure.

I have to agree with the part that says " only your people glorify." However, I think Tinubu has played an important role in South West politics ,especially Lagos. He is NOT a national political icon.

Can you elaborate the local government better than state capital ?
PoliticsRe: Ebonyi Capital Beats Umuahia, Enugu, awka, owerri In Cleanliness, Master Plans by OMANBALA1: 5:18pm On Nov 11, 2019
Unnecessary comparison. In your effort to even up with Anambra you are evidently wasting scarce resources in building white elephant projects that doesn't impact the life of ndi Ebonyi...what you are doing in essence if further impoverishing your state.

he is clueless, and to think that he is even an alumni from my school and same department i finished from in university of benin makes it more sickening......

he barely takes reasonable decisions, sticking with failed coaches....

the government of Jonathan has made me to believe that most south south folks are not responsible with governance......and this pinnick is proving it right....
That's quite a whip right there. But , I was beginning to think about the kind of billions that goes into region ,yet they have nothing to show for it.

Nigeria were better than Australia. We were just unlucky and profligate in front of goal. We have ballers up front mehn... Except for that Olusegun who is getting even more frustrating than Bamgboye was at 2015.

Also the refereeing was rubbish for several parts.

Olawale impressed me real good. He makes decisions upfront better than Olusegun. I wish Ubani gets fit and gets into his strides for the KOs so that we can see an Olawale and Ubani upfront alongside Said. With Amoo behind them.

In finality, this scenario reminds me of 2015. In fact, I was just saying De ja vu after the final whistle.
Quite truthfully, this team can get better. There are abundant talents in the team. Olusegun is a very gifted player but his finishing touches need some improvements. He can get better with time. Wisdom Ubani who is quite the star of the team is struggling with fitness but when in shape a deadly and technically gifted player. As for Amoo , a born midfielder, but I feel like he is too short. I mean ,if he is as tall as Oruma I wont mind. The captain is a warrior , and I love his imposing presence.

Do you even know the meaning of Ethnic prejudice before you start throwing the word upandn?

Your comment is the epitome of Ethnocentrism, that that births prejudice.

Ethnocentrism simply means vilification of an out - group and glorification your own group. Understand?

Exactly what you and your cohort are fond of doing but you are unconsciously aware of your actions or perhaps, premeditated.

I have seen you and your cohorts used gutter words to describe or vilify other ethnic groups while you praise yours to high heaven but your vilification is not enough to undermine the achievements of others.

Can you list the top five greatest Nigeria players let me see? grin

Including the ones that were discriminated due to prejudice.

Agreed, SE is ahead of SW in African Champions League and League cup but how is SS ahead of SW in these regard?

Which FA cup? The one in ya village? grin

SW is ahead of both SS and SE in FA cup. Fact

The same way SW is ahead of SE and SS in Africa cup winners cup and par SS in CAF cup.

However, the African Champions League Eyimba won, na only SE and SS dey the team? grin

My Aboki brother even dey the team. grin grin

Yet, his team attacking ability is still inadequate...just running with the ball and shooting to me is not an ideal attacking approach. No cohesion.

CeterisXVII:
Oga, in the 1st and 2nd pictures, the young men are only wearing Igbo red caps. Their outfits are not Igbo.

Their dressing is just a sample of the contemporary outfits, that men in all tribes in Nigeria, currently wear.

If you remove the red cap and put a Hausa cap on top of the heads of those guys, you will think they are from the North.

If you substitute the red cap, and replace it with a local aso-oke cap called fila worn by those in the Southwest, you will think those guys are Yoruba men.

But the 3rd picture, is the authentic one. From the isi-agu to the red cap, everything is Igbo dressing. The woollen red/white cap can even be used alongside the red cap for greater variety.

The guy in the 3rd picture killed it. Igbo amaka! Correct Igbo demon..... cheesy

And all these people wailing and crying about the inclusion of K. Nwakali are not thinking straight. In every team there are core players the team is build around and this is usually because these players are the one that carry out the ideologies of the coach in the field. They are the one that spell out adequately the tactics the coach want to play and they are usually the leaders/captains of the team.
In the case of the U23 , the team is firmly built around Azubike and Nwakali because they hold the key to the coach's style of play. And ,so far , you cant say the team haven't delivered. So, whether you like it or not K. Nwakali will orchestrate the play from the middle while the general Okechukwu will play from deep....an unfit Nwakali is still better than iwobinho romario messi....chai, heart attack loading...lol

Did just accuse me of being the one constantly bringing tribal "topics" in this thread ? Its obvious you have not followed the exchanges adequately, else you wouldn't have written this trash. A non active footballer made captain of the a National team? What nonsense!

The second bolded explains everything.
Honestly, southwest is behind SE and SS when it comes to football...from producing the greatest soccer players this country boast of to club football. Be it the African champions league , the F.A cup and the league shield the southwest are ffucking behind. Stop hiding behind a single incident to propagate your ethnic prejudice.

His name does not begin with K , O or C.

According to the majority here you would think the SE team is made up of only 3/4 players.

Then we have a lot of praise, excuses and preference for certain players who are doing nothing.

For instance Nwakali a player that failed at Eredivisie and Eerste Divisie, then couldn't get started in Porto youth football. Then after Arsenal let him go for nothing he can't even get a game at Huesca in the Spanish 2nd tier. The last time he played a game of football was last season.

But somehow defying all logic and reasoning he is in the U23 as captain. What an insult to other players working hard and progressing.

Add to that people keep talking about him here like he Is Messi. And anybody who dares say anything contrary you are labelled HATER.

There is a clear, continuous and consistent trend here. In which many arguments are anchored not on fact and substance but whim, sentiment and even prejudice.

But that's what makes it such light hearted entertainment.
Listen here, mister, this forum is called Nairaland not Boroughland. We Nigerians have the sole right to use this platform to promote and encourage football growth in Nigeria either by hook or crook...this is none of your business. You know, like in England where your country football officials and their delusional irate fans use their own platform to push their crappy and over hyped players at the detriment of many superior talents including our own Ndidi.

I dont follow English football because people shouldn't go where they are not needed unlike many Nigerians who salivate over English league...and just like I jejely mind my own business I implore you to face your borough boys and leave us alone with all our trashiness. Oga, waka naaa! Which one be ur own...you are not wanted here!

Just before the AFCON, u campaigned for Simon to be deployed as an AMF instead of Iwobi... I actually thought u liked the guy...
You have a very good memory. I did call for him to be tried in the middle because we all know Iwobi is crap. After observing Simon for a while I thought , Ok, this nigga is not a defender, not a,striker and pathetic with zero end product as a winger but he can dribble and packed a lot of gas to burn. So, where can we use him ? And I conceived the idea he might. be useful in the middle but I think it was Safari that reminded me the guy has zero vision ,conviction and purpose....just an inferior Victor Moses. Simon Moses is worthless in that team just like a wedge that come handy when you need it but never a working tool.
