The 1985 team which was an U16 tournament not U17 was my favourite because in the final FIFA didnt want Nigeria to win the cup, a very harsh red card which came out from nowhere, W Germany piled on the pressure any tackle in the 18yrd box will lead to a penalty but Victor Igbinoba scored a world class goal

Looks lets not get carried away with the position a player plays at the U17 level, Nacho is still growing and he could develop different skills that could make him better off in another postion. Russia's Yuri Nikirov who won the golden boot at the 1987 U17 as a striker but played as a sweeper at the 1994 world cup, Mattias Sammer who was an attacking midfielder for East Germany at the Chile 87 U21 tournament, he won the Ballon'd Or in 96 or 97 as a sweeper. The player is still growing, please let him grow and develop.

You couldnt put it any better

With all his skill, it lacked end product and this was rectified in his latter years of his career. In germany they were times he dribbled unneccesary and loose the ball. Cristiano Ronaldo was the same but that he learnt to apply his skill at the right time and right place. Go and find out why the French will never forgive David Ginola

naijanoni:

Iheanacho has been injured since January, which has slowed his developent. He prolly would've been loaned out like nwakali if not for the injury.

I assume Nwosu was talking about their abilities. Which has nothing to do with wether iheanacho has been playing or not.
Nwosu probably have seen both players play to conclude that Ibe is not better.
IMO(from what i've seen of both players), Ibe is just like your normal pacy English winger that relies mainly on pace. Iheanacho applies more of brain, his play is more mature and is ahead of ibe technically and in terms offootball intelligence.
Ibe is similar to d likes of sterling, lennon, walcott e.t.c
Iheanacho's play is similar to d likes of Silva, Ozil, J.Rodriguez.

Ibe is a winger or wing back which relies heavily on pace and which is far different from Iheanacho who is a support striker. Now since pre-season Iheanacho hasnt played, and having the choice between Ibe or Ambrose, I wont pick the Celtic player.

1, Am yet to think when last Iheanacho kicked a ball in anger, Whereas Ibe plays
2, They do not play the same position
3, Ibe's age can be verified compared to the other Nigerian

How can u compare both of them?

Am a core chelsea fan but LVG is better biko

He was morinho's boss in bercelona and have coached in the world cup final and was successful.

Lifted the champions league twice and coached supper clubs like munchiin, bercelona and ajax and now man united, dey re comparable but u can't rate morinho over him.

He lifted the Champions League once with Ajax 1995

In a team that had 2 Ballon D'or winners he still flopped

Arsenal is the only English team to have Lost in all 4 finals

Politics / Re: Buhari's Victory - Implication On Ghana's Psyche by omar22(m): 9:27am On Apr 04, 2015
Headlamp1:
Exactly 32 years ago General Buhari in his reign instigated the Ghana Must Go policy which oversaw the deportation of about 700,000 west african foreigners (Mostly Ghanaians) from Nigeria, and till date, that name Ghana- must-go lives with us. Even in Europe and the Americas, you see Ghana –must –go bags.
That bag, which was what the fazed Ghanaians found handy when hurried out of the shores of Nigeria did not have a name until Buhari asked Ghana to go.
Ghana under Jerry Rawlings, did not like that treatment at all. The 1985 Ecowas Summit was so heated that Ghana’s foreign minister Obed Yao Asamoah was ready to tear Nigeria to shreds, literally speaking.
Fast-forward now to 32 years.
Has Buhari regretted his action?
Ghanaians do not want to remember this past. General Muhammadu Buhari could have forgotten. The Ashanti have not. Those that died in transit, those unsettled suddenly, those humiliated and those that left valuables behind.
History doth repeat itself they say. As Buhari comes back into power will Ghana-go-again? Will it cast a faint shadow of cold bilateral and suspect relationships between the 2 countries? Will Buhari gain social popularity and favor amidst the Ghanaians?
We find out as events unfolds. grin

It was Shehu Shagari not Buhari

Does it occur to people that people just want Jonathan out of office owing to his disgraceful performance in office. Remember that these so called Yorubas voted for GEJ back in 2011.

Actually the Yorubas wouldnt vote for an ex-military man due to what happened to Abiola and the June 12 election, but this time around, people were fed up of this joke of a leader. It was ANYONE BUT JONATHAN

Buhari is just one of the many injustices the SE/SS have to face for being part of the failed project known as Nigeria. If I found a Genie in bottle tomorrow, the first thing I would wish for is the secession of the SE/SS from Nigeria as a different country (or 2 separate countries) so we can finally have breathing space from the Yorubas and Hausas who in reality add no value to our lives.

You sound like an abandoned project.

this country is already divided by the yorubas, fulani and hausa, take them out of this contry, then nigeria will be a better place.

people easily be deceived, that the same sets of persons that messed up pdp are now in apc.

jonathan is the best president we nigerians has ever had and some youths are too blind to see this.
i weep for nigerians cos we are back to 1960.

not forgetting that this election was rigged by apc(in the north), jonathan was wise enough to succumb to defeat cos he does not want killing of of innocent citizens in the north..

Mercedes showed there immaturity as a racing team today in as much as they are the champion in race decision cost them today. Great drive by Vettel and huge kudos to Ferrari.. But don't be naive, it was beautifully engineered by the marketing people at F1 and Mercedes after huge criticism of a one horse(sic) race.. I make it nearly a full minute Mercedes craftily handed to Ferrari. The hard tyre at the end when it should have been the soft worth over a second a lap over nearly 20 laps. The six seconds by keeping Ham out after his tyres were shot and the totally unnecessary pitstop after 2 laps. If you have the fastest car by some margin all you need to do is match the strategy of your competition, simples. Just who were Mercedes covering with that early pit stop they were in the lead?? Diabolical.. Very nice to see Vettel win but given the same strategy he would have been a mile back.

Robbed ke, when he came in 4th place

Henry dominated longer than that.

Henry hit the 30 league goals a season once and surpass the 20 LG 5 times compared to Shearer who scored 30+ LG in 3 season in a row and 7 times more than 20 LG a season despite having 2 major injuries that ruled him for more than a 2 seasons
