Okoroawusa: Pantami ended up not elaborating on anything just like Zulum, Ndume, Atiku and other Northern elites. Why the hate on the North? Remember the end result of Tax Reform Bill be it positive or negative will impacts on all Nigerians. A case in point was the fuel subsidy removal. Recall initially, it was assumed that the fuel subsidy regime benefits the North most, however the reality speaks volumes today. |

Kalu is a joke and a disgrace. Why attaching Senator Kalu for making an objective statement? |

The only Product and Services rendered by the North is Backwardness and Insecurities Mr. Man be objective in your analysis of issues. The salient point worth asking should be, what are the derivation and attribution mechanism as it's relate to the tax reform? Furthermore, what is the state of institution mechanism for robust data gathering for fiscaliization of the derivation and attribution. |

Politics › Re: Kaduna Refinery’s Fix Ready By December — MD by OMBIIGA: 10:24pm On Nov 25, 2024 |
Skoonheid: Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Oil), Heineken Lokpobiri, has revealed that the Kaduna Refinery was not calibrated to process Nigeria’s crude oil.
Lokpobiri made the shocking revelation on Wednesday when he featured in a Channels TV programme to speak on President Bola Tinubu’s first year in office.
“What I said was that Nigeria had always imported crude based on the peculiarities of the refineries. And that is why I was giving example of the Kaduna Refinery. We were importing crude oil from Venezuela.
“Nigeria’s crude is one of the lightest crude in the world. It is one of the sweetest crude in the world. Some refineries are not calibrated for that.
“That was why the Kaduna Refinery was one that was meant to refine very thick crude oil. So, they were importing from Venezuela. So, it is not happening for the first time
What In the audio Fix is going on?😀 The minister was partly right in his assertion. However, with the engineering retrofitting and process modification, the CDU 2 unit at Kaduna Refinery that hitherto utilizes heavy crude sourced from Venezuela and Russia can now use Nigerian crude as feedstock. |

CaveAdullam: It takes being exposed to understand situations. Exposure makes you enter different terrains and grasped a lot of knowledge.
It is this that has made me overcome any form of antipathy for my parents - whether good or bad.
Exposure and knowledge will make you build empathy. Because it's only empathy that can can make you not treat someone badly, the way they have treated you.
It is empathy that will make you turn your left cheek when someone slap you on the right cheek.
Strong empathy is rooted in deep knowledge. And it is as a result of not allowing your pains and suffering to becloud you and become vicious.
Those not consumed by their suffering and won't allow themselves to be a conduit or tool in the hand of the devil in seeking for revenge are God's people (this is not about religion. Hope the reader will understand).
Our parents acted based on their limited scope of knowledge. They acted the way they deem fit and thought that their actions whether good or bad won't be detrimental to their well-being and family. They acted based on ignorance.
There are still some decisions my parents will advise me to take. I don't. Because I know they are talking from a standpoint of the 20th century. It doesn't mean that everything they say is foolish. But as a more exposed individual I have to weigh their suggestions in the light of the 21st century.
Hanlon's Razor: don't attribute to malice what's as a result of stupidity.
Please, man, forgive your father and have full peace. At least, you are at a point where you can take good care of yourself and family. If not for anything, but for the little good things he has done for you as a child.
He is your father. You can't change that fact.
Tell your father, how he failed you and his nuclear family. Pour your heart outside. Let him know your height of disappointment in him. Perhaps, he may be remorseful and ask for forgiveness.
However, whatever you know you can do for him that won't bring you problem, regrets, and setbacks, do it.
Buy him a car if you can. Give him allowances if you can.
You are already far from him. So irregardless of his actions, it can't get to you. Even though he decides to persists in his ways.
This is not to guilt trip you. You can do as it pleases you. No big deal. Your attitude toward him is reasonable.
But you are doing it because you are now wiser and bigger than your father.
Don't allow 1 error to erase 99 good.
Thanks. Bro you are spot on, exposure is key in the light of the bigger picture! |

Romance › Re: Man Caught With A Widow 2 Days After Husband's Burial In Nsukka, Paraded Naked by OMBIIGA: 11:36pm On Nov 18, 2024 |
ekineme: Some tradition though!, I have read about this tradition in some villages that if a traditional married woman cheats and cook for the husband that the man will fall sick and if the necessary rites are not performed, he will die.
My question is what is the man offence? Someone cheats and an innocent person dies, does it make sense? Before a lady will cheat on the husband she doesn't give a f**k what happens to the husband so it's an alternative to giving your husband a poison just that this time it's done by the gods Indeed the tradition is real and potent. However, there is a cavet. If the wife did commit adultery and the husband is fully aware without taken appropriate action and the wife continues to cook for him, he risk the repercussions of the ancestrial diety. |

Politics › Re: How Will Tinubu Campaign In 2027 And What Will He Be Telling Nigerians? by OMBIIGA: 8:48pm On Oct 13, 2024 |
OsunOriginal: Each day I wake up and I see what Nigerians are going through, 2027 election usually comes to my mind, even though it is more than 2 years away. The questions in my mind have been;
- How will this man mount the podium in 2027 to campaign for re-election? - What will he be telling Nigerians on the podium?
Today, apart from politicians and probably royal fathers, who smile to the bank daily with the largesse from the emperor, every other Nigerian, who depends solely on their efforts for income, is in a state of despair. They are confronted with all forms of challenges they've never faced (all at once) before now. From fuel price hike to naira depreciation and to electricity tariff hike. All have been thrown at them at the same time, pushing millions into deeper poverty without the government delivering anything to the nation as gains from the pains. You pay more for fuel, yet, you still have to queue for the fuel every day. You pay more for electricity but supply is even more epileptic than when it was "cheap".
The prices of goods and services have gone beyond what an average Nigerian can easily afford. It has been a case of "reducing the purchasing power of the people" which we were told during campaign but didn't pay attention to.
The same man will hit the road in about a year time to start canvassing for second term in office. I can't wait for that time to come. Should P BAT choose to recontest in 2027, nobody can stop him except Almighty God. This is somebody that as a private citizens in 2023 , despite all the State apparatus and super structures being against him, he prevailed. Now that is in the driving sit, case close. |
