The way you men are frantically and desperately defending this guy's action, speaks volumes about the reasons why nigeria has a bad reputation worldwide. You were even defending the 1000 men wo/man for crying out loud.Na person go marry una sha- omg.Smh. Tpia, Nobody is defending any wrong, I am just here to say the truth, Nairalander, 4 me to prove my point, I said something about Sapele and I specified the street we both used to reside. That guy, attended Okotie-eboh grammer school sapele, that was the early 90ths, we both stayed in lagos around ikeja area, and it is obvious that their dress's are the Urhobo traditional attires. So Please Nigerians let's try to be objective in with arguement. I challenge anyone in the this forum to show these photos to any Sapele person's that has stayed around new ogorode off Ireto road, then we will get the complete and real story of these couple. |
Hello guys, the guy in those photos is my childhood friend, we both attended the same secondary school in sapele back then, I tell you all guys, when my friend saw those photos and the attached story, he immediately called on me compline. There is no way on earth that lady will be that aclaimed age. That lady there is 33years old while my friend is about a year older than her, the only reason why she looks like that it's because she is pregnant. Now I see why we are all into what we have found ourselves. If anyone in this forum understand sapele very well, and know Ireto Road then that person will understand what I am talking. |
An insider who has privy to the proceedings of last week meeting of Vice President Namadi Sambo with 19 Northern Governors has told SaharaReporters that the governors mostly from North-East said the Boko Haram hype and security threats are above their power despite all efforts and avenues they have exhausted, and demand holistic approach. Some of the governors boldly told the VP their anger and disgust with some steps of President Jonathan, and some of his aids in the resolutions of the lingering Boko Haram crises. The governors resolved to pursue political solution to the Boko Haram menace, in the affected states and they agreed to achieve that free from involving security agencies but traditional and religious leaders and also families of the Boko Haram top leadership as a means of appealing to them. Governor Kashim Shettima, it was learnt said he has exhausted all avenues to overcome the insecurity ravaging his state. The governor said the Boko Haram sect members are known in the state and are just guided by sheer ideology, and holistic approach is needed and expressed disgust over several approaches of the Federal Government, he claimed has dampen reconciliation. The source quoted the Governors of Niger, Borno, and Yobe states expressing displeasures over presidential actions, particularly when the emergency rule was imposed without their consultations and they heard it like other Nigerians. They are of the view that counter positions and several outbursts have done harm to dialogue in the bid to end the face-up. The source said “They told the VP, that several times when their emissaries are underground talking with Boko Haram representatives, you will hear Mr. President saying different thing in the media, and the next day NSA and Defence Minister saying another thing. The following week you will hear IGP and Chief of Army Staff singing different tunes, all these are not good to the system. These are things they told Sambo. And the need for the government control lips of its personnel and as even the president himself.” The source added that “The governors told Sambo to liaise with the President, and come up with directives that Commissioners of Police, SSS Directors, Military Commanding Officers in the North should be in touch with the governors in carrying out operations without informing them. They insisted that they have been proving financial and logistic support to the security agencies, and so they should be put in picture of things and also demand minimal control over the agencies in the move of addressing some of the cases, they said needs political approach than face-up in some cases.” After the meeting that lasted about eight hours, the Vice President on coming out told the press "It is a meeting with the 19 governors of the Northern states of the federation and the ministers of Police and Defence and the representative of the National Security Adviser. We have discussed the need for cooperation in the security of this country and particularly, the Northern states. And in this meeting, it is very clear that there is no religious problem, religious fighting in northern Nigeria. "There is a threat of terrorists and the need to address this terrorism act. Nigeria is one country and we will do everything to ensure that we have peace in the North and in the country in general. All the state governments as usual will further cooperate with the federal government in ensuring that the safety of lives and properties is maintained in all parts of the country." |

Ijaw kinsmen of President Goodluck Jonathan yesterday seized the East-West highway (Warri- Port Harcourt Road) as the public outcry against SundayÕs removal of subsidy on the Premium Motor Spirit, popularly known as petrol, by the Federal Government deepened nationwide. National Mirror gathered that suspected Ijaw militants besieged the highway as early as 6am, halting the free flow of traffic on the strategic road, which serves as the gateway to the heart of the South-South and some parts of the South- East. The protesters in their placards demanded the immediate reversal of the pump price of petrol to N65 per litre, vowing to embark on steady actions to compel government to accede to their request. The placard-carrying protesters said the removal of subsidy would worsen the living conditions of the people of the Niger Delta and warned Jonathan against recalcitrant posture on the matter. Our correspondent who monitored the protests reported that the action commenced from Bomadi, an Ijaw community and the headquarters of Bomadi Local Government Area of Delta State. The protesters barricaded the highway at Bomadi junction, forcing traffic to spread many kilometres on either side the road. The traffic buildup spread as far as Uweru in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State. There was no movement on the highway for many hours. Thousands of commuters were stranded while the action lasted. Siren-blaring convoys of some important personalities were caught up in the gridlock. A commuter who spoke to our correspondent said it was a terrible day. He said the experience was Òterrible and worrisome.Ó One of the protesters, who identified himself as Bamigho Ebikabowei, said Jonathan disappointed his kinsmen by embarking on Òanti-people policies and programmes.Ó Our kinsman (President Jonathan) shows that he is not sensitive to the yearnings and aspirations of the common Nigerians, especially his long suffering people in the Niger Delta by imposing fuel subsidy on Nigerians. ÒWe are going to force him (Jonathan) to reverse the unpopular decision and we are going to collaborate with all relevant stakeholders, including the organised labour, civil society and rights groups to enable the President to see reasons with all right thinking Nigerians. ÒWe are not going to steadily pursue various actions to reverse this unsavoury policy which will further impoverish his (Jonathan) people in the Nigeria. This government has not done anything to improve our lots and subsidy removal can only worsen our fate in the Niger Delta,Ó added a protester, who did not want his name mentioned. The Joint Task Force, JTF, in the Niger Delta, Operation Restore Hope, later deployed troops in the scene. The troops, who arrived the scene in three vans, cleared the barricades to ease traffic. Most petrol stations in Edo State witnessed an anticipated absence of customers yesterday after the initial long queues that greeted the new price regime on New Year day. Investigation by National Mirror showed that the initial response by customers had resulted to panic buying in Benin, the capital city. While pump price at most of the filing stations ranged between N140 and N150 , it was constant at N138 at the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, mega stations scattered across the state |
New Year Eve tragedy: Invaders kill 52 in Ebonyi dawn raid 31/12/2011 00:00:00 Ogbonnaya Obinna, Abakaliki The Ezillo community in Ishielu Local Government area of Ebonyi State was a sea of tears and blood yesterday and residents’ preparations for the New Year in tatters after unknown gunmen invaded the area at dawn, killing no fewer than 52 people. Most of the victims were children aged between three and five. A police officer, described as the Divisional Crime Officer (DCO) ,was also killed in the mayhem. Governor Martin Elechi visited the community hours after the incident. He cancelled all visits in connection with the new year celebration. The motive of the gunmen could not be immediately ascertained but eye witnesses said they arrived the community in a vehicle at about 5am.Thereafter,they divided themselves into groups. One group operated at the Afor Ezillo market opening fire on people while another group attacked the police station. The DCO who was on his way to work was caught in the bullet rain. An eyewitness, Mr. Ikechukwu Eze, said most residents were woken by the gunshots as they ran out of their houses to seek refugee in parked buses, the gunmen opened fire on them. “Just take a look at that car parked there, the owner and his family in a bid to escape from the gunmen were caught by the gunmen and they were set ablaze by the invaders. Is it not unfortunate, all these little children that they killed numbering over 20? What offence did they commit? What offence did they commit to deserve this treatment,” Eze wondered. Another eyewitness who lost his family, Mr. Jacob Okoro, said that when they heard the sporadic gunshots, they all ran out of their compounds. The gunmen, he said, shot at them killing all members of his family. He said “We were still sleeping when we heard gunshots and people running and yelling. My family and I ran out from the house to escape into the bush but to our shock bullets were flying from all directions. “It is by the grace of God that I am alive because I can not really say how I escaped death. As I’m talking now I have lost everything. Our compound that has about 32 persons, only 3 persons escaped the bullets of the gunmen. When we ran out of the house, we saw some young men and we were thinking that they were also running for safety not knowing that they were part of the invasion.” A man and his entire family were burnt inside their car. Hundreds of empty shells of AK47 littered the Ezillo axis of the Enugu-Abakaliki Express road yesterday while youths were busy searching for and retrieving corpses from nearby bushes. Our correspondent observed that the gunmen also killed donkeys, burnt down the Afor Ezillo Market, filling stations and houses. Residents who lost their loved ones wept uncontrollably. The State Commissioner of Police, Mr.Adeola Adeniyi, described the incident as regrettable and unfortunate adding that the Inspector General of Police, Mr. Hafiz Ringim has approved the deployment of mobile policemen from Cross River, Rivers and Akwa Ibiom State to assist in Ebonyi. He said that no arrest had been made.He advised motorists and commuters to use alternative routes when coming or leaving Abakaliki, the Ebonyi State Capital. Meanwhile, Governor Martin Elechi has cancelled all scheduled activities associated with the New Year celebration. Chief Elechi in a Press release issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Dr. Onyekachi Eni said that accordingly, all groups and organisations which planned to pay the Governor a celebratory visit to mark the New Year are advised to shelve such visit for now. |

Come on guys, I never knew that some highly educated Nigerians can fall for this. I still remembered how the whole Niger-delta crisis thing started like an armed robbery. First this has nothing or little to do with BH, someone from that community knows about that job. No matter how sufficicated a job is, there must be an insider. Somebody somewhere is raising an army. If anyone in this forum has being following up, we all saw how the niger-delta crisis started, the kidnapping in the east, the BH problems up north & now robbery in the west. Please Nigerians, I can boldly say that, somebody somewhere is raising an army. |
