Politics › Re: Ministerial List: APC Governors Submit Names by omenka(m): 10:21pm On May 04, 2015
One of the conditions was that the candidates
must be technically competent and of proven
integrity.
The second reason is that the person must also show loyalty to the party.

By this, a source said that Buhari indirectly laid
emphasis on the need to field the names of the
founding members of the party and not
defectors from other political parties.

Vanguard also gathered that Buhari may not
likely run a bloated cabinet where the status quo
is 42 Ministers
.
I simply can't understand why anyone who wishes Nigeria well would hate this man. sad

God bless and continuously grant you wisdom to steer this nation in the right direction sir. smiley

Finally, the truth is being revealed. This is what we've always insisted did the PDP in; hate campaign from FFK, Fayose, Patience and Okupe.

Finally, some people are waking up to the truth.

Politics › Re: [video]: Duped SURE-P Employees Protest In Lagos by omenka(m): 4:56pm On May 04, 2015
I've always insisted here that that damn SURE-P and YOUWIN are nothing but a federal approved scam.

I really feel for them.

Imagine Bode George hoarding forms in his house and selling them to these unemployed youths at cut-throat costs.

Shame.

Now, look at this:
According to the coordinator of the protest,
Aderibigbe Kayode Vincent,”we heard from
a source within the Presidency that A PDP chieftain in Lagos (names withheld) told Mr President he paid us N350,000 each. This is a big lie. We have not been paid a dime for the three years that we have worked.

We have over 70,000 staffs and they are owing
all of us. So, I don’t know where he got that
figure from.
And after all these, some good for nothing old men would still be lying to the whole nation and anyone who cares to listen to them that Jonathan's defeat was as a result of a gang-up by northerners. I'm sure the northerners ganged up with this PDP chieftain in the SW to lie to Mr President.
Politics › Re: Don’t Go Abroad For Medicare Throughout Your Four Years – LP Tells Buhari by omenka(m): 4:48pm On May 04, 2015
And they never asked Jonathan to even though they were dining with PDP on the same table.

Nonsense.

The same folks would be the first to accuse Buhari of murder should such a retrogressive law see the light of day and claim its first victim.

Did they even do so in Ondo State??

Again, total nonsense.

Lolz... Post-May29th Nigeria would be interesting for sure

By d way, leaving aside this Yerima angle which may just be either anoda media propaganda and/or political posturing by so interests, I hope you have taken full cognizance of the how una (APC) have shared all the top positions :

President-- NORTHWEST; Vice president-- SOUTHWEST; Senate President-- NORTHEAST; Speaker-- SOUTHWEST; Chief Justice-- NORTHWEST (although this one is statutory).
These are the 5 TOP positions in the country by the way.

And particularly in the Senate which is the main institution been talked about here:

Senate President-- NORTHEAST; Deputy Senate President--NORTHCENTRAL; Senate Leader-- SOUTHWEST or NORTHWEST.
And those are the TOP 3 positions in the Senate by the way.

Una dey try no be small kiss.....
Errrm, how do you propose they be sharedhuh

Politics › Re: Major Oil Importers And Fuel Subsidy Recipients(the Cabal) by omenka(m): 11:46am On May 04, 2015
Nothing new here that we didn't know in 2012. What happened to all the subsidy crooks indicted by various reports?? Was anyone prosecuted? Was anyone convicted?? How much was recovered from the subsidy crooks??

Why do these guys always wanna shifts their responsibilities to the general public?? Why do we have them where they are?? What exactly are we supposed to do with this list, go on and lynch the people involved when we have courts of competent jurisdictions and the anti-corruption agencies to convict defaulters ??

This country is really sick under this administration. It was the same way they had to make a lengthy documentary about the biggest landlord in Nigeria, accusing him of every single crime one can think of, yet couldn't as much as institute a legal case against him.

Smh.

Politics › Re: Is The Abolition Of Fuel Subsidy Imminent? by omenka(m): 8:22am On May 04, 2015
Here's what I told some guy in another thread where NOI alleged the marketers are holding the State to ransom :

He wrote:
SirRoberto:
it nt easy to deal wit those cabals... The best way to hav dealt with d cabals was to stop subsidy payment and u and i are witness to wat happend wen govt tried it during GEJ tenure.... D masses ignorantly followed d cabals in ensuring their biz continued. I hop d incoming administration wil hav d hart to successfully stop this subsidy payment once and for all
And my reply was:
You guys are missing the whole point. The masses didn't ignorantly follow anybody, they took a stand that was best for them which is the retention of the payment of subsidies.

Subsidy payment isn't a bad idea, the problem rather lies with the government and her agencies that have become iredeemably corrupted resulting in the payment of claims for nonexistent imports. Was it not revealed during the hearings of the HoR that tens of billions of naira were paid to people as subsidy claims when they didn't even import a single drop of fuel?? Didn't we hear about ships that brought in products while at the same time the wreckage of those ships have been lying at the bottom of the ocean for decades, forming nice little coral sights for marine life? What about round tripping? Do you think this would have been possible without the active connivance of government agentshuh

What the government needs to do is not getting rid of the policy, but enhancing monitoring and overall efficiency of the system. This way, payments would be made to only genuine claims and we wouldn't end up having an over bloated expenditure on subsidy. I'm pretty much sure if that is done we'd see a reduction in this expenditure of not less 50%.

You can't cut off the head just to spite the body.
I think this suffices for this thread.
