Health › South Africa Records World's First Successful Penis Transplant by omenka(op): 11:23pm On Mar 13, 2015
Doctors in Cape Town say patient has
regained all urinary and reproductive
functions after ground-breaking operation.

The reportedly successful penis transplant
could have pivotal consequences for the
medical community [AFP]

South African doctors have confirmed that
they performed the world's first successful
penis transplant, three months after
conducting the ground-breaking operation.

The 21-year-old patient had his penis
amputated three years ago after a botched
circumcision at a traditional initiation
ceremony.

In a nine-hour operation at the Tygerberg
Hospital in Cape Town on December 11 last
year, he received his new penis from a
deceased donor.

"We've proved that it can be done -- we can
give someone an organ that is just as good as
the one that he had," said Professor Frank
Graewe, head of plastic reconstructive surgery
at Stellenbosch University.

"It was a privilege to be part of this first
successful penis transplant in the world."
Doctors said the man, whose identity has not
been disclosed, has made a full recovery since
the operation and had regained all his
urinary and reproductive functions.

In 2006, a Chinese man had a penis transplant
but his doctors removed the organ after two
weeks due to "a severe psychological problem
of the recipient and his wife".

Be that as it may, as inappropriate as the timing is, I hope these dimwitted meatballs on this forum can see the need for a viable and strong opposition. Had there not been a real threat to the seat the incumbent occupies, none of these last minute show of love would have come from the I don't give a damn crooner.

But op, without a video, how can we be sure they were reciting the national anthem. The only thing that hints at that possibility is the position of the right hands of those two guys directly behind the Great General.

Besides Amaechi, there are about four other folks in the pic who's arm position don't suggest they were singing the national anthem. smiley

Nigerian government, especially under the current administration, is notorious for lying to her citizens. Many times they've been caught pants down lying. I'd rather believe they lied in this occasion too.

Let me join my comrades in calling on the president to relocate Aso Rock to the SW. Shebi when the going was good, this same dude said "igbos are the backbone of my administration". Why in devil's dungeon would he not leave the SW alone and go concentrate on his "backbone", or has he developed a spine injury that could be fixed only by political surgeons from the SWhuh

Funny man.

MayorofLagos:
Between Feb14th and March 14th, Jonathan has visited Yorubaland six times!

Lol....fire dey burn Jonathan! He has suddenly come to the cognition that those he marginalized are afterall the kingmakers of Nigeria and without their endorsement he stands no chance of victory.

First, the Obas in Egbaland told him to stop calling them to unecessary and unproductive meetings.

Second, the Muslim body in Yorubaland told him they dont need his bribe and its a waste of his time and theirs to invite them to a unproductive meeting.

Now Awujale has told him he is wasting his time paying visits to Obas in Ijebuland, and Yorubaland generally. Go and face the people with your accountability, dont bring your message to Obas, go tell it to the people you ruled for 6years.

There is two weeks to election....Jonathan is confused!

He should go to North, the Emirs might accept his message and help him in their domain.....make sure to take Patience Faka along to greet "troway shildren" along the streets.

He doesn't have to worry about Ezes in the East, they are already bought and in his pocket....there is no negotiation about whether or not they will deliver....their choice is already purchased!
Bros how much you wan sell this post?? I'm interested in buying it.

Wili-Wili.

We used to pack ourselves into a single seat, all three kids back then, whenever the program was being aired. He was the Nigerian version of Draculla, with his trademark bite to the neck and bloodied canines after each bite.

Stuff was utterly frightening then, but you simply can't resist it! Even the soundtrack alone gives you the chills.

I wonder what it would feel like watching it today.
Politics › Re: Nigeria Faces Post-election Gloom: Treasury Emptied, Retrenchment Looms. by omenka(m): 5:55am On Mar 13, 2015
If you ask me, I think the writer of this article was modest with the truth. Hear him saying some states are at risk of not paying this month's salary, like hell. Most states are owing workers 3 to 5 months salaries already and there seem to be no end in sight for the situation as oil prices keep hovering around the 50dollar mark.

Ask the blabbermouth Ochejoseph whose lenses are always primed on South Western states how much his own state government (Benue) is owing her employees; five good months!!

The current situation is as bleak as can be. Politicians and other crooks are in a frenzied rush to mop up all that is left in the cookie jar because of the heavy cloud of uncertainty hanging over our socioeconomic and political biosphere. Even genuine investors are doing the same, and you can't really blame them. The ripple effect of the insolvency this would generate was what this writer under-emphasised.

This is one thing I just can't stand about this man. His remarks are always so disjointed, lacking in depth, and generally nonsensical. I feel extremely nonplussed whenever I read him and ask myself; does this man really have a first degree, let alone a master's??

I've tried over and over again to make sense of what I quoted up there without success. Most painful is this isn't a typo, it is simply how he speaks (gibberish in most cases when not reading from a prepared speech). Please if anyone has any idea what mr President was trying to say, fill me in.

And mr president I noticed even in your interview with Aisha Sasay, you kept saying "the Boko Haram" blablabla. Pleeeease, the "the" isn't necessary, simply say "Boko Haram". Haba. Could english language be this difficult for a supposed PhD holder?? angry

Politics › Re: Awujale Rejects Moves To Endorse Jonathan by omenka(m): 8:09pm On Mar 12, 2015
He's been focussing on the SW under the illusion that the North is gone and he already has the SS and SE in his pocket. He feels securing the SW would give him the leverage he needs to stump the General, but ooooh, what a dreamer.

Mr president, NOWHERE is your support as much as 60% guaranteed, not even in Bayelsa!

If I were you, I'd quit throwing all the monies I've managed to steal in connivance with Alison and use same to secure my Asylum in Haiti. Your fate has already been sealed.

And you should quit disturbing Lagos already.

coolscott:
It is hard that being the man of integrity that Buhari claims to be, he does not consider it appropriate to step down from the presidential race on account of his failure to meet one of the basic requirements for running (provision of his secondary school cert).

How does he intend to ensure Nigerians comply with specified requirements on all levels when he popularly failed to comply with specifications that applied to him?

How won't they make light of his efforts (or even laugh at him) when he tries to enforce compliance considering we are talking about Nigerians, whose chronic desire to cut corners in processes is well known?

The earlier you people accept the fact that jonathan/PDP is not getting a free ride home on this contest like they have been in previous ones, the better for you all.

Jonathan, you people claim, is as popular as JFK, so what's the fuss about?? Wouldn't you people rather have him "disgrace" an unpopular Buhari whom you people are c0ck sure is gonna lose the election than have him step down and retain some integrityhuh

I find it so hard understanding how your minds process your thoughts honestly.

It beats my imagination why Jonathan insists on wooing ANYONE from the north, a place where people give birth to children they can't train and throw them unto the streets to beg.

Jonathan's wife and EK Clerk have already sealed his fate up north. He should stop wasting his time.
