Politics › Re: Powerful State Governors Drained Nigeria's Boom Time Oil Savings - Okonjo-iweala by omenka(m):
Yeah!!! And the blame shifting plot begins to take shape!!

Madam, you should be ashamed of yourself. Under Jonathan, and under your supervision, we recorded some of the most catastrophic fiscal imprudence.

How many jets were added to the presidential fleet under your watch?? Were they necessary?? Under your watch, billions were spent on feeding pets in Aso Rock and maintaining the lawn. Under your watch, cutlery were budgeted for every year when we know even in your own house, they can be used and reused for up to 5years!! Under your watch billions was allocated for the feeding of the president and vice. Under your watch billions was budgeted for building a nonsensical first Lady's Mission House. There are way too many scandalously stupid expenditures you endorsed even at the presidential level, and here you are covertly trying to absolve yourself and your employee of the mess we now find ourselves in. If you had given good counsel as was expected of you perhaps the effect of the oil price crash wouldn't have been so obvious.

When you and your surrogates sit atop your lofty table in your penthouse office accommodation, you could blame all you want over your failure, but the down trodden and average Nigerian has no one to blame but to look to God for salvation. They bear the brunt of your incompetence and that of your paymaster.

Shame on you all.

Nigeria's with poor mentality. So buying school busses for tiatary institutions is a ligacy ? Something that require no strategy or planning. Book is really becoming haram.
Don't be such a killjoy. Look at it from the positive side. That bus is at least 15 years old, yet still looking pristine. Speaks volumes of its quality. Now juxtapose that with the SURE-P buses that were bought only two years ago. What can be said about them??

And by the way, the op said "part of". I have no doubt in my mind if we go to some of our hospitals today, we can still find evidences of Buhari's legacy especially as regards PTF.

Have a nice day.

At least so many roads done in Nigeria. Prolly he can improve on that. We now have someone whose only achievement is corruption and protecting corruption. Under pdp I can't remember any reasonable road done. The road to the capital of Nigeria has bn under repairs for almost 10years....what exactly are they trying to build on the road. The only development in my opinion under 16years of pdp is mayb communication, thanks to the private investors (even tho they stil scam us). We don't deserve those bunch of thieves
The bolded can only be appreciated by people who take a moment to travel outside the little cocoon they reside in. That project highlights the crass incompetence that is Nigerian government.

Anything to salvage this country from the impending trauma precipitated by the recent disproportionate recklessness of the presidency is welcome.

We can ill afford to lose this hard earned democracy of ours.
Politics › Re: Kano Threatens To Sue Presidency, Abati For Fraud by omenka(m): 1:29pm On Nov 28, 2014
It was indeed a very shameful incident. Ordinarily, that oversight should have costed whoever was the architect of it his job, but the president is constrained by his mounting unpopularity and needs every ally he can get no matter how incompetent they are.

As regards the litigation, I'm not sure it would fly since there really isn't any article of the law, to my knowledge, which the incident violates. But the progressives ought to capitalise on it and score some political points. That is politics!!

I think you guys should advice your friend the op to take some time off to clear his head. He's fast losing it. Nowadays, he comes across as someone desperate to maintain the stakes he once held here. I can't remember the number of times he's mentioned me in his posts lately but I hardly respond to them. He sounds like one of them inane kids on this board and we all know he should demonstrate greater maturity in his utterances (give and take, dude shouldn't be below 31 years judging from his pics).

Just like Cra'mjones (no offence) he's fast losing relevance around here.

In Okonjo Iwahala's voice: Do not panic, we got everything under control.

Let then keep adding Jets to the presidential fleet, building First Lady Mission House for tens of billions, and import stoves for billions too!! I think the country's got a bottomless trough of money from where the government could make incessant withdrawals to finance their strings of highly useless projects.

#Ride on Jonathan. We are solidly behind you!!

Politics › Omenka Banned For "Violating Rule 20": Matters Arising. by omenka(op): 6:48am On Nov 28, 2014
I'm calling on Seun, Obinoscopy, Ishilove, Mukina2, OAM4J, Ngwakwe, Maclatunji,
Ikenna351, and Afam4eva to please come here and explain to me how on earth I violated rule 20 that I had to be banned.

I received an almost 24hrs ban "for violation of Rule 20" by an anti-spam bot and a moderator the day before yesterday. The ban was only lifted yesterday by 9:30pm.

Now, if Seun and the rest of the mods I mentioned up there are what they wants us to believe they are, at least one of them should show some honour and come in here to explain to me in what way I violated that rule. At what point did I make any remark to any moderator that smacked of disrespect?? Is Nairaland revving up its campaign to gag the opposition on this forum as the general elections approach?? If that is the case, why can the administrators stop pussyfooting and state it in clear terms in their standing rules that "Pro APC sentiments will NOT be tolerated on this forum" so we can take our campaign elsewhere??

This would be the THIRD time in under two months that I'd be receiving a ban for unjust reasons. A lot of Pro PDP posters run all over the place insulting me and other Pro APC members and get away with it every single time. Even when one reports such post as the admin and Obinoscopy always advocate, NOTHING, I mean, absolutely no action is taken against such posters, but when it is the other way round, the mods quickly spring into action coming down heavily on that poster!! Why the double standards?? The other member who cloned my moniker is back posting trash all over the place and attributing them to me, spamming my mentions and the mods and supper mods don't seem to notice.

There are lots more I desire to say, but at the risk of sounding verbose, I'd stop here with the hope of getting some answers to the questions I raised.

Thanks.

There is no bigger beneficiary of Nigeria's democracy than Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, but he's been fighting tooth and nail to kill it!!

Nigeria will endure and emerge from these very dark and perilous days stronger and better!!

Commonsense will prevail in the end.

What they did was evil and dangerous, what if
the plane was low on fuel, what do you think
would have happened? Desperation has set into
our politics, and it is posing grave danger to our
democracy.
Obasanjo has warned, Femi Falana has warned, Buhari has warned!!! Jonathan is the single biggest beneficiary of this hard earned democracy of ours and he's become so desperate every step he takes pushes us closer to anarchy and the demise of democracy!!

Jonathan should quit being petty and act like a president for once, JUST ONCE!!

What is democracy without oppositionhuh
